- Julie (10/5): Adorable! - Petite pension adorable! Décoration étonnante mais ca fonctionne. Les propriétaires tellement gentils et à l’écoute ont rendu l’expérience fantastique. Gentil chien présent. Chambre spacieuse et très propre. Idem pour salle de bain. Au bout d’un cul de sac donc vraiment au calme mais à 5 min 1 pied d’un night market et 5 min en grab du pont sur la river Kwai (à pied comptez 40 min). Petit dej en option. Assiette minimaliste mais très bonne. J’ai toujours eu droit à un petit truc en plus (pastèque, riz gluant avec taro,…) Rien, c’était exactement ce que je voulais :)

- Theunis Matthias (10/5): Aanrader! - De eigenaren zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ontbijt was ook lekker. De kamer was prima. Airco is van mitsubishi (top kwaliteit airco). Locatie is perfect! Het straatje zelf is rustig en je staat ook zo aan de grote weg om Kanchanaburi te verkennen. Naast de guesthouse is een supermarkt te vinden, ook erg handig. Kortom een echte aanrader om hier te verblijven terwijl je Kanchanaburi verkent. Bed was een beetje hard. Maar dat is een kwestie van smaak.

Le jardin est très jolie, on a des petites tables couvertes où l’on peut se poser pour jouer ou boire un verre, à coté des carpes c’est très reposant ! The room was a good size, clean, with a fridge and a sitting area. The check-in was easy and the host helpful. We booked onward travel to Ayutthaya through the homestay and it picked us up and dropped us at our next one. Its close to the cemetery and a little walk to the Bridge. The night market was a five minute walk away, with great street food. The breakfast was good value and free coffee. Nothing

Location was great, only a 30 minute walk from the bus station and easy to get to local attractions from! Honestly not much, amenities were maybe a bit basic but we didn’t have any trouble with them!

Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und gross. Der Herbergsvater war sehr hilfreich und bemüht. Er hat uns bei der Organisation des Tagesprogramms unterstützt, organisierte uns zuverlässige Transporte (TukTuk und Taxis für 4h) und gab uns nützliche Tipps. Kleines leckeres Frühstück wurde angeboten. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis übertroffen. Wir würden diese Unterkunft sofort wieder buchen. -

- Jessy (10/5): Je recommande chaleureusement cette établissement! - Localisation parfaite car même si on se retrouves dans le calme absolu, on est a 5 minutes à pied de la gare ferroviaire, approx. 30 minutes de marche jusqu’à la gare routière d’un côté et le pont de la rivière Kwaï de l’autre côté. En plus on est pas loin de la route pour le pick-up de bus direction le parc national d’Erawan et à deux pas d’une rue plein de resto’s et bars - plus accès facile partout en Grab! Personnel très aimable et respectueux. Beaucoup d’échange et d’excellentes conseils pour la nourriture ainsi que les massages! J’étais tellement ravie que j’ai réservée une nuit de plus. -

Om de hoek zit een supermarktje en ook de 7/11 is dichtbij. In de directe omgeving zijn leuke restaurants en barretjes te vinden. De Guesthouse is een fantastische uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te verkennen. Niets.

- Jason.lyt97 (8/5): A cozy and convenient stay with a charming dog and friendly host, though facilities could be better - Very kind and friendly host, with a handsome dog who wears a bell on his collar! I call him "Ling Ling" because that's the sound I heard whenever he was around. Great location as it is at the town centre close to the Kanchanaburi Train Station bu just walking. Close to supermarkets too. Host has a friendly dog which even makes it better. Do be aware that cash is preferable for payment. Facilities wise, it is a bit old, like the shower head mount, it was already coming off, and the bathroom door, it's all old and wooden, so the bathroom lock was a bit flimsy as well, but it should not matter much if you and your roommates are ok with it. Also, the room is mostly wooden and our room was situated at the top floor, opposite of kitchen, so each time, if someone cooks in the kitchen, the smell may seep into our rooms while we were sleeping so that could be distracting

- Devan (10/5): Peaceful stay in a family run environment with amazing host that looks after their guests. - I am a solo traveller visiting Kanchanaburi for the first time to experience the ANZAC Day service at Hellfire Pass. I decided to book a three-night stay at Siam Guesthouse. When I arrived, I knew I had made the best decision to stay here. The location was perfect to visit all the historical places, the bridge is 2km walk and if you are into nightlife then is 10 mins away. The room and the bathroom were clean, free coffee and tea were provided, and fruits were available upon arrival. If you liked a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, the place had all you needed, and it was right in the middle of all the necessities. The best part of the stay, as this is a family-run business, was Nung and his mother, who were very helpful and ensured that their guests were looked after. They can organise and advise if you want to arrange tours at reasonable prices. If you love animals, you will meet Harley, a beautiful one-year-old. The place had a lot of birds, and there were also fish. Vegan/Vegetarian Travellers—Nung suggested On's Thai Issan, which has reasonable, yummy food with great servings. It is a 10-minute walk from Siam Guesthouse.

Rustic B&B with some unique features eg pet pig which the owner introduced us to and fish swimming in the pond in the garden. I also noticed there were bikes available but we didn't use them. Room was a but dull. If it had been painted white it would have had a better appearance.

Staff helped us arrange transport to Hellfire Pass. The walls are very thin and you hear noise from outside, so if people are up early you will also be awake. Not a problem for us but worth considering if you want a lie in!
