• Alwin (9/5): Good value for money with an exceptional host. - The place is a nice mix of private rooms and dormitories. Great to meet other people and still have some privacy. By far the most comfortable bed I had in three weeks travelling through Sri Lanka. Spacious and clean bathroom. A place to hang close in the room, mosquito net over the bed and free drinking water. The airconditioning wasn't fantastic, but it did the job. Host Oscar is an absolute gem. Somewhat forgetful at times, but a heart of gold and eager to please. You might have to temper his persuasive character a bit sometimes. But he is willing to provide nothing less than the best for you, knows exactly what fair prices are for all the things you might want and helps you to get those. A bit further away from the busy area, but that makes it relatively quiet and it's only a small walk to many different beaches. Lovely family-run restaurants just around the corner. Highly recommend! Breakfast is not available by default. But if you ask Oscar kindly, he will probably help.you out. Also the amount of flies and mosquitos when sitting on the porch.

Good value for money, would recommend. The owners helped us to get a tuktuk Noisy AC Its harder to get a tuktuk via Pick me in this area, but the owners will help.

• Dayle (10/5): - My friend and I loved our stay here so much so that we extended for an extra 4 nights. It is a super comfortable and homely space. The breakfast is amazing and it differs day to day which is as great. The staff were AMAZING - we spent time over meals getting to know them and their families. There is an outside area with plugs and a hammock to work at as well as the breakfast area. It’s super close to the secret beach and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. We loved it here and really didn’t want to leave!

La "terraza" daba a un muro, y la otra ventana daba a una zona común por lo que había que estar con las cortinas cerradas. El baño olía mal. El personal fue muy desagradable, apenas saludaban. No transmitieron cercanía alguna, no sentimos confianza de dejarles las maletas el día del check out. El desayuno era en una sala oscura y desagradable.

• Montserrat (9/5): - Good quality new hotel. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is good. There is a very clean kitchen if you want to cook and a terrace with a hammock. Staff is very nice and helpful. It is a five minute walk from the beach.

• George (2/5): Dirty room and misleading room advertisement - Not much. I changed my booking to one night only and left because it was disgusting. The place was filthy. Especially the bathroom which clearly had not been cleaned since the last person. Flies everywhere. Advertised as a garden view room but it faced a wall. Kind of sketchy area as well.

The location was convenient, and the room was clean and comfortable. It would have been great to have an extra stand or shelf for placing our luggage and belongings.

• Victoria (9/5): Good place to stay - The staff were friendly and helped us whenever we needed it. We stayed at a double room, it was clean, had all the necessities. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast was included, and it was also very good. The location is fine, maybe about 10-15 mins walk to Cargills. Very close to the beach. My only advice would be to pay more attention to the outdoor sitting area on the 2nd floor - it’s a nice place but a bit messy, not great impression. And kitchen.

En el desayuno, que fue el más escaso de todo nuestro viaje (dos tostadas y unos huevos revueltos con mitad de un plátano), tuvimos que pedirle ambos días si podía ponernos un poco de te o café. A la hora de pagar, tampoco se interesó por ver cuánto debíamos ni hacer el cambio, pero si que dudó de si le estaba pagando lo suficiente por dos noches.

• Alex (9/5): Nice hostel with good location - Location was good, short walk to the main beach, secret beach and the main high street. We had the private room which was really nice, clean, spacious and with a big bed and en-suite bathroom. There was no hot water but otherwise the facilities were good, they provided towels, soap and toothbrush set. Breakfast was okay, we were given toast and eggs and fruit. There were no free water refills which some hostels do offer. It wasn’t a sociable hostel but it was also off season so there were generally fewer people around.

• Sarah (5/5): Schlechtester Aufenthalt in Sri Lanka, sehr schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis - Die Unterkunft war zentral gelegene und man ist in nur wenigen Minuten am Strand. Es gibt viele Restaurants in der Umgebung. Wir hatten das Deluxe Zimmer mit Balkon gebucht. Direkt vorm Balkon war allerdings eine Baustelle, so dass wir diesen nicht nutzen konnten. Außerdem hat das Wifi nicht bis ins Zimmer gereicht. Wir haben das dem Personal gesagt, aber das war dem egal. Das Frühstück war das schlechteste was wir in Sri Lanka hatten. Es gab vollkommen übersüßtes matschiges Toast, was man nicht essen konnte. Als ich nach was anderem gefragt habe, habe ich Toast mit Butter bekommen ohne jeglichen Aufschnitt. Kann nicht empfehlen Frühstück dazu zu buchen!

• Gal (1/5): - Somebody got into my room, and open my bag and stole my photography equipment. Ives tried to ask the staff that work there to show me the security camera, but apparently it wasn’t working and it Was difficult to convince them to get someone that will make it work. And when I asked them to call the police, they refused because “ it will ruin the reputation of the hotel” I was very disappointed this was very expensive and I need this equipment for my job. I would expect a better behavior this situation.

• Aurel (8/5): Good breakfast, Overcharging when paying at the desk. - Had been checked in straightforward and the room was given in less than a minute. All the basics are there. It was a good and kind breakfast. The boss talks to the staff woman through the phone. Told to charge me 2000 instead of 1800 per night. I had literally had to send a photo of my booking and negotiate it back and forth through her phone, to pay what is right. The woman said that it is too cheap with the breakfast. I would say put the price you need beforehand and then charge what i book and no more than what i agreed with.
