Guest Reviews
- Vanessa (10/5): Perfection. - I honestly could live in this little wooden home. It was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing. Leaving đđđ
- Sam (10/5): -
- Teresa (9/5): Nice comfortable stay in a quiet location with lovely views. - Location and views were great, quirky and comfortable. Would have been nice to have a bit of milk left with the tea and coffee making facilities. Would also be good to have a dishcloth to wash the pots properly. If WiFi and television are offered they should be working properly, we only realised when it was too late to contact the owner.
- Fahad Bin (7/5): Beautiful property with stunning open valley views. Peaceful and relaxing surroundings. Wi-Fi could be stronger, and an - The outside view and the beautiful scenery of the valley â especially the open valley landscape, which was stunning. The Wi-Fi connection could be improved for a smoother stay.
A short instruction manual for appliances and general usage, heating etc would be very useful for guests.
The bathtub is on the smaller side and can be tricky to get in and out of, which was particularly noticeable as my wife is pregnant.
The ceiling upstairs is quite low in places, so I did bump my head a few times â though I understand this is part of the propertyâs character and charm.

- my2 (9/5): Peaceful getaway - The location was spot on, the postcode led exactly to the hut on Google Maps. Itâs a private and serene space, very clean and comfortable. Thereâs a dedicated parking spot, and basic cooking is possible with a hob, microwave, and kettle (though no scrubber or bin, just plastic bags provided). Heating and hot water worked well, we opted for a bath as the shower setup was a bit messy. Strong phone signal throughout, we didnât need the Wi-Fi. Most importantly, Lisa was a fantastic host, welcoming, helpful, and very accommodating. Thanks Nothing - had a great night at the hut, even it was during the heatwave/hot summer, the hut was actually cooled with just fan.

- Laura (10/5): Perfect hidden peaceful getaway with amazing hosts - Everything! Itâs such a bright and beautiful place which has been made with love and creativity. The couple who run it are so lovely and couldnât do enough for us.
The bed is really comfy, the little table by the window is the perfect place to sit with a coffee and watch the world go by. Itâs peaceful and it actually snowed a lot when we stayed. We were worried about getting snowed in but the host drove us upto the main road and really went above and beyond. Have already shared this property with friends and family to recommend the stay. Will definitely be back again one day Wished I had stayed longer
- Abbie (10/5): Cozy & scenic get away - What an amazing stay me & my partner had. First off, the host Lisa was so so lovely and made us feel so welcome at the same time it was so private. The hut was in a garden which we've never been drawn too but like I say we felt very comfortable and had our own privacy, the views from the hut was just breathtaking & the quirky design was so cozy. We was gutted we only did 1 night. Also would like to add, me & my partner don't drive so we accessed the hut easily by the train into Wrexham then the X51 bus to Llandegla post office then a 20-30 minute scenic walk. Lisa also informed us of a pub close by, walking over the field and they do amazing food. Llandegla itself is a lovely place to visit but the hut was definetly the best place to stay, honestly cannot wait to return here. Thankyou.

- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - The views were superb. The place was so cosy and snug. The quirky fixtures and fittings really make the place special Had a small internet issue which meant the TV struggled to work. But the hosts were absolutely spot on and fixed it immediately...
- Georgia (10/5): Perfect escape! - - Owner was lovely and welcoming
- Property was very clean
- Location was perfect for walks a great escape
- Heated up well with the heating on
- Nicely decorated, no âtatâ
- Great place to relax and switch off More functional issues than complaints.
- Very difficult to shower as the shower head was very low and splashed all over the bathroom
- Would benefit from an air fryer instead of a hob as thereâs not much surface space to cook
- No bin at the property
- Sofa was not very comfortable and couldnât relax when watching tv, would benefit from a pouf or a deeper sofa with arms
- Owain (10/5): Exceptional - Liked Absolutely everything , what an absolute Gem , I'd live here permanently if I could ! Fantastic location , beautiful scenery and peace and quiet. The summer house has been built to a very high standard . Highly recommended Not being able to see the stars as it was cloudy đ
- Charlotte (10/5): Lovely weekend stay, cute cosy summerhouse with an amazing sunset. -
- Kelsey (10/5): Memorable - Fantastic views, fantastic property. Just amazing. Wonderful host. Thank you. Loved everything about it
- Bolden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Godfrey (9/5): It was BRILLIANT. - All clean and very cosy, they put the heating on for when we arrived so it we all nice and toasty and the people where lovely. Loved the views, window looking out to the hills when u wake up with the sun and animals outside was beautiful.
- Colin (10/5): Amazing location, very warm and cosy, extremely picturesque location - Very cosy with unique features throughout There is nothing to not like about this property
- Liam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jonathan (10/5): One of a kind. Nature from every window. Very comfortable - Views, every window was like a piece of art. Not being overlooked (except by sheep). Right on Offa's Dyke Path. The eclectic nature of the place and the thought that had gone into every design feature. The bath is very small, but it has a view and is quirky and so this is quickly forgotten.
- Jacqui (10/5): Perfec little retreat. Just book it. - The small details and quirky touches make the summerhouse unique. Perfect peace and quiet. I stayed to give myself a little escape and thatâs exactly what I got. Iâll definitely be staying again.
- Gary (4/5): Overall as the most expensive place we stayed on our trip of nine days not value for money. - Location very convenient for Offas Dyke Path and views beautiful. As it was some distance to an evening meal it was good to have a simple supper provided. Quirky describes the decor. Owner was welcoming. Bathroom particularly shower not at all practical - water everywhere as no screen or curtain and difficult to use the quirky watering can. Bath no use at all. Basin not really useful either. Stairs difficult to safely get down. Inside kitchen cupboards not clean -old out of date food. Could not open patio doors as the dogs kept trying to get in. The dogs need keeping away from The Summerhouse.
- Adam (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (10/5): Lovely themed place to stay, especially when your feet are on fire. - Location was perfect for someone hiking Offa's Dyke. The owners dogs were great fun and super friendly. The view over the fields and hills was fantastic, especially sat on the decking drinking a beer that the previous occupants had left behind! :-) No issues. Place was great.
- Char (7/5): A unique cabin, in a peaceful setting. - This is a truly unique place to stay and our first impressions were âwowâ. The views are wonderful. Our dogs loved having free roam of the garden and playing with the ownerâs cute dogs too. Beyond basic tea and coffee, there are no extras, not even UHT milk or a little pack of biscuits, very slim on toiletries too (bit disappointing in this price bracket). The bed linen appeared rather well worn and was crumpled, with a single flat pillow per person, so didnât feel at all luxurious. There isnât a bin anywhere, which is pretty impractical. We only used the TV to listen to the radio but it would have been difficult at that angle to watch a movie from the sofa (could wall-mount it maybe?).
- Jessica (10/5): Gorgeous view, lovely host - Beautiful stay, the view is incredible, lovely people and lovely dogs too! Nothing! Would come back!
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - The cabin and interior is astonishing, the view incredible. Perhaps a mirror, dish cloth and tea towel.
Bring food because you will want to eat in its so stunning( and there are no pubs restaurants within walking distance.
- Jane (8/5): Very peaceful full of character amazing views right on offas dyke path - Fantastic location
Very helpful Hot water for a bath could have been a touch hotter as we were wet on arrival
- Stephen (9/5): A really unique place to stay. - The house was amazing, lots of quirky features, the two dogs were really good, they came in for a cuddle on the sofa every morning. There was no bin in the property which was annoying. And no curtains in the bathroom either on the window or around the Shower
- Stephen (10/5): It was perfect. - The hosts were extremely helpful. Nothing.

- Amy (9/5): Superb - Lisa the owner was lovely, she showed us around and then left us to it.
Even though the summer house is in her garden it was completely private.
Views are spectacular and we just fell in love with all the little quirks of the place. Lovely touch with the honesty bar.
I cannot recommend this place enough. Will definitely be booking again just for the views alone!
- Isabella (9/5): Perfect getaway - Location + view is amazing, a perfect escape from the city but also close enough to shops and villages to make it feel like you can get what you need when you need it. It was so picturesque and cozy, absolutely loved our stay Only minor point is the couch wasn't the comfiest thing in the world - I think that's just because it's a pull-out bed, but as part of our weekend plan was to lounge out we noticed it
- Abigail (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rowena (9/5): perfect for stop on ODP. amazing views. quirky - Location near ODP, views, welcome was excellent. Honesty bar was great. and unexpected pizza provided for dinner. the mattress wasnât that comfortable
shower was very small
- Eve (10/5): I had a wonderful and very relaxing stay - thank you - The Summerhouse is a lovely little place - comfy bed and beautiful views. Great location to escape from it all. The views from the Summerhouse both upstairs and downstairs are sublime. The decor is quirky and there are some lovely features. I have no complaints, just observations for future travellers to be aware of. The shower is very low so for someone tall that could be problematic. However, it can be overcome by sitting in the bath with the shower running. A great addition would be an easy chair of some description facing the view.
- Buck (9/5): Amazing view and location that completely exceeded our expectations! Will definitely return! - Absolutely stunning location with a marvellous view!
The hosts were so friendly and accommodating and answered any questions we had. The Summerhouse was beautiful inside and out, with such attention to detail.
- Sophia (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay. - The whole weekend was lovely staying here, it was nice and cosy in the evenings with exceptional views and great walking places to take the dogs.
- Greg (9/5): Superb -
