• Jo (8/5): Would stay again - Spacious and comfy, had everything I needed and there was a Co-op for supplies close by. Close to The 1865 where I was going to a gig. Entry/access instructions for my stay were very clear and the system worked well. Shower hose not attached to the wall which made bathing difficult, and as everything else in the apartment was in excellent condition I found that surprising. Reported it to the contact details but haven't had a response yet to say they have fixed it for the next guest, which is a shame. No instructions I could find for the heating so it was a bit hit and miss whether I got it to work. If I had been staying longer I would have enquired but it didn't matter for such a short stay.

• Leila (7/5): Decent value for money, good location but the shower wasn’t great. - The location is amazing and the bed was very comfy. Thought the self check-in was a good idea too. The shower needs an upgrade as the water pressure was shocking. Very hard to move in the shower as it is so small and the actual shower head was damaged. There was a strange smell of cigarettes when we arrived and it lingered the whole time we were there for. The room felt cold and the radiator didn’t work.

• Phyllis (7/5): The property would have received a higher rating if they corrected the above mentioned pointers. - I liked the proximity to the cruise terminal. The property needs to improve on the following: 1. The outside entrance needs to have the light on so we could see the numbers on the door handle to key in the code in order to open the door. 2. It needs to make the client aware that the code to enter was located right on the door handle because it was nighttime when my flight arrived and by the time I got to the property, and with no lights outside the property, it was challenging to key in the code. 3. There were a lot of leaves that accumulated in front of the entrance making us think that the property was uninhabited. 4. The property has no phone so out of town clients has no access to make phone calls for an uber or cab ride 5. There was no thermostat to adjust the temperature in the room. I was cold during the night and I couldn’t raise the heat and there were no extra blankets left in the room.

• XFltmedk (9/5): Short walk to town center and pubs! Near cruise pier. - Nice place to stay with some stairs to upper bedrooms. No free parking, suggest car park as street parking is paid via time and if expires, the police are diligent. As this is a cruise ship port, the docks are nearby but it is a walk, suggest a car hire. City center is a short walk from the port area. This venue was clean and convenient to shopping, restaurants and pubs. Did not feel unsafe. Some stairs but manageable. No free parking or parking in front of the building (gated parking) (actual venue is in the back of the street front building, a separate small building).

Tea, coffee and washing up liquid provided was a nice touch. There was no where for the shower head to attach to the wall so you had to hold it to have a shower.

• Diana (9/5): Ideal location, comfortable stay, no staff assistance available - We stayed the night before our cruise. Location was perfect - we were across from Queen's Park, around the corner from the abundant delicious restaurants on Oxford Street, and within easy walking distance of the cruiseport. Once we were in, the room was spacious and well laid out. The kitchenette was well equipped, there was a fridge and microwave as well as stovetop and full set of utensils. Towels and basic toiletries were provided Coming from North America, I didn't have UK cellular data, which made it challenging to access the code (sent after 1pm on the day of travel). I thought downloading my messages that morning before I checked out of the London hotel would have been sufficient but it wasn't. The Concierge button didn't work, and neither of the emergency phone numbers provided through Booking.com or through the confirmation/instruction emails worked. Eventually I was able to go elsewhere to find wifi to connect to download the code, then come back to the building. Obviously not a complete disaster, but if I'd known how late the message was coming I would have not left the train station without ensuring I had the correct message already downloaded

• Martin (8/5): Pre cruise stay - Location to cruise terminal, comfortable and quiet room. Some quirky details within the room such as having a hob to heat up food but no saucepans with which to do it. No wardrobe or somewhere to hang clothes, etc.
• Jon (5/5): Just about OK but let down by attention to detail - Flat was clean and heating efficient, location was good. For a flat that had a kitchenette and cooking facilities, there were no utensils to cook with. There weren't even any glasses in the apartment. The bathroom door has clearly been repurposed from somewhere else. It looks like it's from an office or industrial building. You can see the screw holes where a door closer has previously been fitted. There is no door jamb and no catch to hold the door in place when closed. I know it's often personal taste but mattress was quite firm and only one pillow / bed. Would definitely have expected more for what we paid for the flat. Personally, I had no issue with the security arrangements but phone reception wasn't great in the area could have been difficult had I not been able to get the lock codes whilst down in Southampton. More annoyingly we were woken by a guest in another room on the phone to someone trying to explain to them how to get into the room at 1:30am.
• Marshall (8/5): Nice 2 bedroom apartment. Larger than expected - Location was very close to the pier we sailed from. It was much larger than we expected. The lower has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The upper level is a large open space with a sitting area with a large couch, TV, dining table for 4 and a functional kitchen area. In the master bedroom we couldn't adjust the temp for the shower (it was hot). It could use some more plates in the kitchen , some soap for the dishwasher and kitchen sink. It should also have some dishtowels to dry dishes. Overall if you need a 2 bedroom place I would recommend this apartment.

The only thing that’s going for it is its location - The location is good and that’s about it Poor internet, poor water flow in the shower and the tiniest of beds. Looks like someone forgot to put the blinds up and the shower flow was pathetic. The toilet seat had a permanent yellow stain and didn’t seem to fit the actual seat.

• Riley (7/5): Did the job for the night and reasonably priced. - Location was great restaurants just around the corner and in hotel next door. It was clean and quiet. Getting in was a little confusing because the code is on the door handle and hard to see. Once we figured that out with help from the contact it was very easy. So if you stay there it’s door on left tap the handle and numbers light up and then put in code. Actually very easy. The air circulation. It was a little humid.

• sumit (6/5): - The property was beautiful, neat and clean from inside. I didn't understand the reason why there were no blinds on the windows in the living area. It doesn't cost much considering the price every guest is paying to stay in this property. It was too bright in the early morning plus this was a basic expectation as we thought maybe there will be blinds it's just pictures were taken when there was nothing. But actually there is nothing and windows panels are also see through. Didnt enjoy much our stay there.
• Karen (10/5): - Lovely accommodation great location. Found it quite difficult to enter the property as entering the code the box isn’t very clear. Hard to notice it at first glance went to wrong building at first and was told was next door. But everything else was great no complaints.
• Javier (1/5): The worst ever after 59 years - Nothing. The worst experience ever. There was no hot water at all despite we warned about it. There was nobody to support us. We called the phone number but no person attended us. We could not take a shower. We also sent three mails reporting the problem but no answer either. The windows were broken and we couldn’t open them. Of course no one helped us on this.
• Leticia (10/5): Muy buen sitio para descansar, limpio y confortable - Está bien ubicado, la ciudad de Southampton es muy bonita y el apartamento está cerca de varios pubs, supermercados de barrio e incluso un Lidl. Tienes plancha para la ropa y una pequeña tabla de planchar y secador de pelo. La cocina tiene lo justo e imprescindible para un desayuno. No tiene sartenes ni calderos a pesar de que tiene una pequeña placa vitrocerámica.Tiene un calentador de agua, un microondas y una tostadora de pan. Te reciben con un set de aseo personal. La habitación estaba limpia en general. Las sábanas y toallas estaban limpias. El lugar es muy tranquilo y descansamos muy bien. La entrada es automática, con un código, unos días antes te envían todo para hacer el checkin en su página y no hace falta que nadie te reciba, con las fotos que envían explicando dónde es la entrada es suficiente. No conseguimos encender el aire acondicionado o calefactor que tenía nuestra habitación, por suerte no hizo falta, no pasamos calor ya que fuimos en agosto, más bien fresquito en algunos momentos de la noche pero nada preocupante, nos abrigamos con el nórdico y listo. Echamos de menos que tengan al menos una pequeña mesa donde poder tomarnos lo que compramos para desayunar. Un dato importante, que seguramente sea normativa del país, es que no hay enchufes en el baño para secarte el pelo, tocó secarlo en el enchufe de la mesita de noche.

• Covell (6/5): Overall good but needs a few tweaks. - I liked that we had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathroom for our family of 3. It was also walking distance to the cruise port which was nice. There was no A/C as was listed online. It wouldn't have been as much of an issue if all the windows opened easier and there was a fan/ceiling fan upstairs (only 2 fans available for 3 areas). I would also suggest directions for the washer/dryer unit as I could not figure out how to extend the dryer cycle and clothes were still damp. I did look online for directions, but they were not helpful.

• Graham (6/5): Would NOT stay again. - It was spacious and kitchenette was convenient but no equipment to use it( also no tea towel provided). Comfortable bed. Nice park opposite. Good instruction email. The stained toilet seat was disgustingly and needs to be changed immediately! Stained bed sheets. Toe nail clippings in the carpet. Half a roll of toilet paper? Luckily we had tissues. The noise, mid week and people playing doof doof music and yelling till 5 am ( it started a 5pm!). People smoking right outside the window. The only window ( no AC) can’t be left open at night even if you wanted to as it’s low to the ground and if left open in this unexpectedly high traffic area is a security issue. The shower was terrible. Kitchen tap not fixed in so wobbles. Been travelling for 3 months now and it’s the only place with one pillow.

• Maria Fernanda (5/5): Complicated - Close location to the port and restaurants. There was no toilet paper in the room, no napkins or tissues, nothing. When you arrive late night after a long trip you would expect toilet paper in the bathroom, specially if you are paying 180€ the night.

Shower door came off whilst I was in the shower. Water pressure in shower very low. Room smelled of cannabis.
• Kimberlee (5/5): Would not stay again. - Location and configuration of the room was excellent. The amenities for a flat were lacking in that we had dishes but no towels to dry them. With two glasses, 2 mugs and 2 plates we were always washing dishes. The carpets were dirty and they only get dirtier when people don’t want to walk without out shoes on dirty carpets. The bedroom walls and carpet looked like an orgy had taken place.
• Neil (7/5): As stated above, our stay could have been more pleasurable with a few basic items being available. - Good location, easy to navigate entry, clean, tidy. For such a lovely unit (Carpathia Room) there was limited utensils, no glasses, no tea towel, no small table to put plates on and eat off, no coat hangers or bathroom towel hooks, no shower body wash. Perhaps minor things but all could be was rectified to make the stay more pleasurable!

The apartment is in great location, only one street over from Oxford Street and a short walk to Ocean Village. The apartment was a bit sparse. When we arrived each bathroom only had half a toilet roll and no replacement rolls, so we felt like we had to ration it. Also the kitchen didn’t have any kitchen roll or tea towels that we could see. Would have been good to just have a few of the basic essentials.

• Amanda (1/5): - Location. I am not one to leave reviews and did try to sort this with the owner but unfortunetly they stopped replying to me. The apartment we were in on level 5 was literally like a sauna. There was no form of air con, the windows only opened a jar (for health and safety). It was unbearable, we did not sleep and unsafe to not even have a fan - and it should be advertised that there is no air conditioning at all. I did communicate this with the property, who said ‘in the nicest possible way but we do not advertise the property has air-conditioning as a feature of the property’. On top of the that, the lift at the time was not working (not the owners fault however still had to carry 40kgs total of luggage up to L5), there were no toiletries as advertised, apartment had a strong cigarette smell, unclean cutlery and dishes, etc.

• Vittorio (8/5): A Good Stay in Southampton - This was a great choice for a few days in Southampton, before a cruise. The emailed instructions were very clear and helpful and we were able to self-check in easily. Note that there are two entrances and the main entrance (with the correct keypad) is to the right. The one-bedroom unit was very large and bright. We had a full kitchen with laundry and appreciated the space to move around. There is a lift with only a few stairs at the entrance to the building. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. Fortunately, we brought laundry soap sheets as no detergent was provided. Great to have laundry access, though. We would definitely return if we need a place to stay in Southampton. The WiFi was very weak—better to have your own data access. It was very frustrating just to have simple functions like email and WhatsApp work properly. An upgrade in service is definitely needed. Also, the unit became very warm during the day. It was not clear how to access air conditioning so adding fans to the unit would be an improvement. We were in unit 25 and it should be noted that the toilet is oriented in a way that makes it very hard to have any legroom (it’s up against the shower). Not a deal breaker but good to know ahead of time. The washroom itself was very clean, modern and a decent size.

Muy céntrico e ideal para una noche de paso, por ejemplo si te embarca en un crucero. Está amueblado con lo estrictamente mínimo. Por poner un ejemplo, solo había medio rollo de papel de wc en el apartamento.
