Though the proximity is nearer to the main street you have to rely upon rental vehicles. You need to have your own vehicle for commuting. You also need to bring food and other necessary things. Once you bring the things the stay is comfortable. Can arrange for making coffee or hot water.

Mari und seine Familie sind außergewöhnlich gastfreundlich. Mari selbst hat uns bei allen Fragen sofort weitergeholfen und war stets erreichbar. Er hat uns mit vielen Informationen versorgt, Fahrten organisiert – ganz nach unseren individuellen Wünschen, was unseren Aufenthalt in und um Kanchipuram sehr erleichtert hat. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir auch seine Frau, die uns jeden Morgen mit frisch gekochtem, köstlichem Chai verwöhnt hat – ein perfekter Start in den Tag! Die Unterkunft selbst ist sehr sauber, ruhig gelegen und bestens ausgestattet – Geschirr, saubere Handtücher, eine gut funktionierende Klimaanlage, bequeme Betten und ein angenehmes Raumklima. Nach einem intensiven Tag voller Eindrücke in Kanchipuram war es wunderbar, in dieses ruhige Haus zurückzukehren. Herzlichen Dank an Mari und seine Familie – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

We missed our early morning coffee / tea because we weren’t informed about the availability of electric kettle and other paraphernalia required to make them. My thought was if the Homestay had that facility also it would be nice. It seems they have them , but only provide to guests when asked for . That I feel is not right . They should provide it without our asking for it .

The place is calm, not far from the main temple area, Only that there is no restaurant nearby. If you have your own transport, then this is the place. Comfort wise, this place is far better than any hotel, having commercial interest. I will definitely recommend this place. Nothing at all.

Beside that, get ready for a nightly multiple frog species Serenade. But REALLY only if it rains. The Location is slightly out of the center. Motor-Riksaw a but. The advantage therefore is, there is rather TRANQUILITY to find. A very close y Buddhist SANGA place is a peaceful ad to the place. A very helpful father/owner. Overall, I recommend it strongly. I am a Swiss citizen... Everything already mentioned...
