• HAQUE (4/5): I smell a strong, bad smell from the toilet all the time. - (1) I was staying in room 2, and the bathroom was outside the room. I booked a private bathroom at my property, but I found that other people used my bathroom. I found that they did not flush after using the toilet several times. I am not sure about which rooms people are from, but I'm guessing they are from room 1. (2) They provide only 1 half-used roll of toilet tissue and 1 intake, then I have to buy from Tesco, and I left 1 roll of that for the next visitor to stay. (3) There was no mirror in the room. It should be a must-have facility.

• Adriana (4/5): - Localization was okay, and that’s the only plus. It was cold, bathroom was disgusting, small and cold. Mattress wasn’t really comfortable. And communication was the worst. Few days before I asked if we can check in earlier than 2 p.m and the answer was “yes”. I asked for specific hour and no response. On arrival day I asked again and response was no before 1 p.m and I asked if we can go on 1.p.m. No response, no more text was received from host. Terrible customer service.

• Martina (7/5): Good room for a quick 1 night stay in London :) - We chose to book this room for it's convenient location for our London concert and so we didn't want nor need to spend much money on just 1 night overstay. Therefore we chose to book this simple room and I think it's well suited for the low cost for the night considering it's close to the London centre. :) The accomodation was clean and simple, nothing to complain really for our overnight sleep. :) Just minor details like a broken lamp near bed so you can't see at night if you want just a bit of light before sleep and also there was a little heating we used but it was a bit dangerous because it's been giving out "sparks" so I think best to be removed for safety. :)

• Madalena (8/5): Bom. Recomendo! - O quarto era super confortável e aconchegante! Tinha toalhas e lençóis lavados, tv, aquecimento e casa de banho privativa. O metro era pertinho e dava para apanhar várias linhas a partir de Stepney Green, tinha supermercados pertos do alojamento também e os senhorios foram impecáveis. O único defeito foi não haver água no chuveiro para tomar banho, então tivémos que tomar banho na casa de banho ao lado. Mas de resto, tudo limpinho.

• Cristina (6/5): Mejorable - La cercanía al metro, que te hace llegar al centro en 20 minutos La habitación tenía su baño privado, sin embargo, dejaba bastante que desear, en especial la ducha que no tenía presión. La calefacción la ponen depende del día, cuando no está puesta hace mucho frío, al menos te dejan un calefactor, sin embargo en el baño siempre hace frío y te tienes que duchar con frío. Se escucha todo el ruido de la calle y de las habitaciones contiguas. La cocina bien. La cama bien, pero la almohada muy alta y dura. Si te quedas un par de días está bien, si vas por más tiempo busca otra cosa.

• Aleksandra (2/5): Zdecydowanie nie polecam. Warto dopłacić do czegoś innego. - Czysta pościel. Bliskość do stacji metra. Okolica. Wszystko oprócz łóżka było brudne/zakurzone w pokoju. Łazienka była w okropnym stanie - brudna umywalka, lustro, kaloryfer, prysznic. Pozostawione włosy w prysznicu. Brudna podłoga, okno. Pleśń na ścianach. Nie było możliwość zamknięcia okna w łazience. Nie było rolety w oknie w łazience a zaraz za oknem była ulica. Mieszkanie jest na parterze, w nocy ktoś chodził za oknem. Nie wiem co miał na celu, odszedł gdy zapaliło się światło. Utrudniony kontakt z właścicielem.

Purtroppo entrando abbiamo sentito un forte odore di fogna, e ogni volta che aprivamo l’acqua in bagno lo stesso. Fortunatamente tenendo la porta del bagno chiusa e la ventola accesa la situazione è migliorata, ma consiglierei di controllare questa cosa.

• LE (8/5): good visit - it is close to the underground station, and I can get to anywhere on those tubes without extra or with minimum transfers. the room is equipped with a separate bathroom, which is small, but you got everything you need, and outside the bedroom window, there is this green filed or park, which gives the room a good view there is a public kitchen inside the unit, shared by all the pillows are just too high or thick, and I can hear alarms from ambulance or police cars, but I kept hearing that noise in downtown, so I guess this is a problem of london
• IRENE (3/5): Decepcionante - El apartamento lo reservamos con baño y cocina privada, pues así lo hacían entender en el anuncio de Booking, y no fue así, la cocina era compartida y nuestra habitación era contigua a dos habitaciones más del mismo apartamento. Una decepción. La cocina compartida no avisada, calidad y confort de la cama y aseo, no había enchufe en el aseo.

• Candela (10/5): - El apartamento tiene muy buena ubicación, ya que la estación de metro está a tres minutos andando y en de menos de media hora estás en el centro. La cama es muy cómoda en la cocina está completamente equipada. El cuarto de baño estaba fuera de la habitación pero todo genial.

Struttura sporca, molto molto piccola difficile muoversi in 2 lì dentro, termosifoni sporchi e funzionavano solo ad alcune ore della giornata

• Massilia (2/5): La moisissure présente à gâché notre séjour - Ce que nous avons aimé dans cet établissement c'est l'emplacement à deux pas du métro et pas très loin du centre de Londres Nos séjours n'a pas du tout été agréable à cause de l'humidité qu'il y avait dans la salle de bain et aussi dans la chambre. Dans la salle de bain une odeur de moisissure était présente, tout le haut du plafond était rempli de moisissure. À tel point que je suis resté trois jours sans me doucher lorsque j'entrais j'essayais de ne pas y rester trop longtemps car de l'asthme se déclenchait et mon nez commençait à couler. Dans la chambre il y avait aussi de la moisissure dans un angle. On faisait tout pour éviter la chambre

• Raaijmakers (6/5): Goede verbinding met Londen. Kamer heeft wat je nodig hebt. - De ligging vergeleken met het centrum van London is erg goed. Hierdoor heb je veel keuzes wat je kan gaan doen. We hadden een prima bed en de kamer was precies wat we nodig hadden. De badkamer heeft een bijzondere geur door de hoeveelheid schimmel op het plafond. Dit zit wel alleen daar verder is de badkamer schoon. Je hoort erg goed wat je buren zeggen en hoelaat ze thuiskomen. Wij hadden kamer 2 en wanneer er iemand thuiskomt gaat de sensor lamp fel aan dat je zelf ook wakker word. Opmerking boeken: Houd er rekening mee dat de wijk minder is en je op de begaande grond slaapt.

• Martina (1/5): Non la consiglio a nessuno, neanche per soggiorni brevissimi - Unica cosa buona è stata il wifi molto veloce Posizione orribile in zona molto periferica e pericolosa da raggiungere la sera tardi, pulizia pessima in quanto abbiamo trovato una blatta viva in camera. Il costo economico non vale la pena di soggiornare in questa struttura, prossima volta meglio pagare di più che soggiornare in un tugurio.

Only microwave was not working. I expected to have some coffee and tea sachets but there was nothing. The heater was not working. • Omar (5/5): - To me the position of the room/apartment is not bad, very close to restaurants and public transport. Check in was easy and we had no problem. We payed for a room with private bathroom, however, you can close it only from the inside, there's no way of closing it from the outside (e.g. a lock with a key together with the room's one). This means that everyone used our "private" bathroom (regardless of the indication on the door that it was just for room 2) and it was just the two of us that paid for it.

• Anna (1/5): Zdecydowanie odradzam- nieuczciwy właściviel - Zdecydowanie odradzam korzystanie z tego obiektu. Właściciel jest nieuczciwy. Nie otrzymałam faktury, o którą prosiłam jeszcze przed przyjazdem. Interwencja Booking także nie była skuteczna. Właściciel nie odbierał telefonów ode mnie i od Booking. Booking potwierdził, że obiekt ma obowiązek wystawienia faktury, ale nie wyegzekwował tego.

• Loane (7/5): C’était bien - L’endroit est super, avec le métro et des magasins à côté. Assez facile d’accès (je recommande d’appeler directement les propriétaires à votre arrivée, qu’ils vous disent quoi faire directement). Lit confortable, le chauffage fonctionne. Il y a du rangement et la télé (il y a des films à disposition sur la bbc haha) Manque d’équipement (pas de miroir, micro-onde qui ne fonctionne pas..). L’entretien est à revoir (fenêtre cassée, moisissures), et l’isolation est à revoir vis-à-vis des chambres voisines (on entend tout, et on peut être trois groupes en même temps..) Ce ne sont pas des choses qui empêchent de bien vivre, nous sommes restées 5 jours et ça ne nous a pas empêché de passer un bon séjour !

• Rolf (2/5): Very disappointing - Not much Location: Near train station which is a positive, but the unit is in a low socio economic area. Image attached of unkempt area outside near front door. Cleanliness: My wife is allergic to dust and cannot stay in dusty places. On arrival, some areas of the unit had not been properly cleaned (see photos). We had booked for six nights, but decided we could not stay there and left. Owner: Must have been watching us, because after we had left, the owner messaged us asking if we had checked out which we said we had. We told owner of the cleanliness problem and that we could not stay there. The owner wrote the dust issue was because of the nearby main road and a cleaner would be sent. Unfortunately, we had already booked elsewhere and had already left. We requested a refund for five of the nights, but was told it was not happening, could not be done, and were abused over 'whatsapp'. The owner said we had 'scammed' him/her. Very sad. Funny that, they were the ones with the funds, not us. We contacted Booking.com who have said they tried to contact the owner about the complaint, but he/she is not responding. We would not recommend staying at Starlet Stepney.

• Lana (6/5): Very clean, comfortable and good value for money - The room was basic but great for the price. I couldn’t get the hot water to work in the shower sadly but may have been my fault. The mattress needs replacing as dips to the side. However my stay here was pleasant and the cleaner was excellent. The place is spotless! As above
