The hut was very clean and tidy, everything you need in the space you have. I loved everything about this property!
- Tessa (9/5): Stunning countryside retreat - The huts were done beautifully and I really appreciated the little touches of luxury. So peaceful and a stunning view over the landscape The location was a little remote for me - as a solo traveller I would like to be able to walk to a pub or a shop
- Peter (10/5): - Lovely quiet place Lovely scenery looking over the fields. Shame the sun didn't shine. Nothing
- Robinson. (8/5): - Self contained
- Peter (10/5): - Location and view.Easy location lot shops,Takeaway, petrol staions Views

- Angela (10/5): Such a calm and relaxing stay, the hut has everything you need. - Everything, it was perfect. For my husband it was the clear starry night sky, for me it was beautiful sunrise and a visit from a resident barn owl before he went to sleep. Nothing.
- Mike (10/5): -
- Lindsay (6/5): Rural idyll but facilities limited. - Wonderful view. Bed was comfortable. Outside area was private and pleasant. Had the weather been better we could have made more use of the outside seating. There was very little space as expected from a shepherds hut with very limited clothes storage. No TV or Wi-Fi. Nowhere to sit to eat if you couldn’t use outside. Difficult to locate lane.
- twiggysarah (10/5): Peaceful and tranquil - Very comfortable. Lovely setting. Not far from all local attractions. Wonderful peace and quiet. Nice & warm in hut. Comfy bed. Great place to just chill 😎 Would've liked a microwave.
- Genevieve (9/5): Lovely stay with everything you need - Excellent facilities- shower had good pressure and temperature, comfortable bed. Our first shepherds hut stay has set the bar high!
- Jon (9/5): Lovely stay - Beautiful location and very cosy
- Abraham (9/5): - Solitude and peace. Slightly found it difficult to locate the entrance.
Google maps images and instructions to it would be handy.
- Sugarman (10/5): Great location - Very nice and quiet with great view’s of the Cornish countryside N/A
- Christine (10/5): -
- Suranne (10/5): Amazing and comfortable - It was very spacious and had lots of amenities
- Green (7/5): Don't expect a lot for your money - I used this property as a one night stay on my walk on the SWCP. The location was very peaceful but was a long way off of the SWCP after a long days walking. The location did not lend itself easily to access on foot as it was necessary to walk on a very busy B road with no verges or pavements for about 1/2 a mile. I was surprised at the lack of provisions for making tea or coffee. I managed for one night, but if one is staying for longer? I would advise bringing your own supplies. That applies too to toiletries.

- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely comfy big bed!! Countryside views. Clean and with all the little touches that helped, like having a bottle opener and some yummy fudge 😋
- Mark (8/5): Very good one night stay - Very quiet location
- Deb (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful tranquil setting. Clear instructions for access. Very well equipped with tea, coffee and milk. Highly recommend without hesitation. Great local taxi service . Thank you for a lovely stay.
- Alison (8/5): Great stay, lovely setting and so handy for the coast. - It would have been nice to meet the host just to say hello but appreciated the milk, tea bags and Prosecco left for me.
- Mike (8/5): Beautifully quiet - Peaceful and clean,
- Alexander (8/5): Very good - It was close to Port Isaac and straightforward to find. Would be ideal in all weather because hut had a log burner. Bed was comfortable. Fan was provided and was needed as the weather was so hot.
Very private location
Watched the most stunning moon rise while propped up in bed
Milk and tea were provided Unfortunately a dog on a nearby farm barks incessantly. Can be heard easily in the evening and still from 6am.
You need to be well prepared on arrival as you are miles from any shop
- Linda (8/5): Very good -
- Dominic (8/5): Lovely cabins, in a nice location, good value for money and fairly accessible for hikers. - The cabins are actually very comfortable indeed. Great shower, spacious, just really nice in general. It was also a lovely place to wake up in the morning. It would have been nice to have had Wifi but for us it wasn't a major problem. We did face problems finding the property, but when we were very lost and confused we were able to call the owner and she was very helpful. We found the instructions on how to get to the property rather confusing, which was compounded by the poor reception in the area. Also the name on the sign to the cabins and the name listed on Booking.com are different which made it all quite confusing. We were hiking the coastal path and 90% of the journey from the coastal path was absolutely fine, but the road immediately adjacent to the property (which we had to cross to get to it) wasnt very easy to navigate given the traffic. However, we arrived later than planned, had we arrived earlier this would have been ok.
- Anna (8/5): Lovely setting, nice big bed, enjoyable stay. - The setting was beautiful. We spent sunset watching a barn owl flying overhead. It could have been a little bit cleaner. The front of the fridge was grubby, the toilet hadn’t been flushed since it was last used and the hut smelt strongly of furniture polish. This sounds harsher than it is and just minor details.
- Adrian (9/5): Great place to chill and relax - Location was a little remote but the view / outlook was superb so quite and a great place to chill Can’t really think of anything.
Host / communication was excellent
- Cally (7/5): Conveniently located for us and in a peaceful location. - Peaceful location, which we loved. If you are marketing this for a romantic getaway, then a complimentary breakfast basket might be a great addition.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - fantastic little hut, enjoyed a change from a hotel. I would have liked free wifi and also a small bottle of proper milk
- Kevin (8/5): Very good -
- Ann (10/5): Just perfect for us, met all our expectations - Very private & clean
- Jackie (10/5): Fun and different stay in beautiful countryside - Lovely little hut, cosy and equipped with everything you need.
Away from the road, quiet and beautiful. Just the sounds of birdsong and occasional sheep. Wonderful views over rolling countryside.
Very comfortable and big bed. Nothing

- Rebecca (10/5): A hidden gem - What a hidden gem and what a view to wake up to! After a disastrous journey down it was so cosy and lovely to fall into bed to! The host was so accommodating and kind as we didn't arrive until much later than planned. Thank you so much. We'll equipped and no complaints !

- Shane (10/5): Absolutely amazing - The views and comfort exceeded all we expected and more It was faultless
- Ellie (10/5): Lovely hut, host & location :) - Lovely location!
Just a tip; remember your wellies as the gravel path to the huts is muddy this time of year (winter)!
- Jasmine (10/5): We loved our stay! -
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (10/5): Absolutely perfect in every way exactly what we wanted. - This hut was absolutely perfect, it had everything we needed and was warm, very comfortable and very clean.

- Alison (8/5): The best part was watching a barn owl hunting and the sunrise - Beautiful location
Peaceful and relaxing None
- Robert (9/5): Superb - A lovely hut in a beautiful location and an exceptionally receptive host. We were on a walking trip and a stretch of the busy B3314 which could not be avoided to reach the hut
made for quite a hazardous few minutes. The location is brilliant with a car but not so good for walkers.
- Chand (8/5): relaxing - peace and quiet inclement weather
no wi fi
- Julie (10/5): Had a wonderful , peaceful experience . - Location was fabulous , views spectacular , the Hut was comfortable , cosy and well equipped and spotless . That I only stayed for one night 🥲
- Helen (9/5): A very homely “hut”. Had everything we needed and in a very rural spot. - Not really in Port Isaac. Wouldn’t recommend for people walking the coastal path. No taxi availability. Need a car to get to this place
- Lawrence (9/5): Superb -
- Majella (9/5): Comfy and cosy particularly after a soggy days walking. - Such a beautiful and peaceful spot. And a very comfortable, clean and welcoming shepherd hut. Lucy was also really helpful as we were walking the SWCP and had no car. But we took the bus out of Port Isaac and Lucy met us and then dropped us back to Port Isaac the next morning to rejoin the SWCP for our walk to Rock.
- Griffiths (8/5): Fabulous from start to finish. - The place from start to finish was just perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to go back. It got a little hot in the evening but there was a fan to try and cool us down. Every procedure was there to help us cool down.
- Stephen (8/5): Very good -
- Martin (10/5): Perfect getaway if you value beautiful views and blissful peace and quiet. - Location, views, facilities and cleanliness. Nothing to dislike!
- Janice (9/5): Superb -
- Ann (10/5): Fabulous hut,in peaceful surroundings. - This hut was Fabulous, cosy, clean, warm, good amenities, cooking facilities,Comfortable bed,so compact,so private too.Owners are so helpful and friendly.Good price for the days we had,in a lovley relaxing location.Would recommend highly and would love to visit again....Brilliant.
- Daniela (8/5): Very good - The mattress was very comfortable and the views were calming. The furniture and furnishings were not functional and there was no wardrobe.
- Paul (10/5): It was great - Was amazing Liked all
- Jonathan (9/5): Superb - Honeysuckle Hut is in a fabulous location, very peaceful, with beautiful views and easy to get to. The hut is very compact but everything you need is there.
- Katherine (10/5): It was everything you’d want for a quiet stay in Cornwall - It was quiet and comfortable with everything needed for a stay away from home Nothing
- Susan (10/5): Very very secluded. - Quite secluded. Nothing at all there. We loved it. There is no tv etc . We had a iPad . People must be informed to take food etc on the way in. As there is a barbie and cooker there. We had to go back out to get food. Port Isaac is a nightmare to park .
- David (8/5): A Delightful and Peaceful Stay in the Countryside - We recently spent two nights at Honeysuckle Hut, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. Nestled in a totally peaceful location, the hut overlooks beautiful rolling farmland, providing a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
The hut itself was incredibly comfortable and cozy, offering everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The surrounding grounds were well-maintained, and we appreciated that the parking space was just a short walk away, tucked out of sight to maintain the tranquil setting.
Although there are three huts on the site, they are thoughtfully arranged to ensure each one enjoys complete peace and privacy. We felt like we had our own little corner of the countryside all to ourselves.
During our stay, we were blessed with warm weather, but we noticed the wood-burning stove inside the hut, which we’re sure would make it even cozier during colder months. It’s clear that the hut is well-equipped for all seasons.
Honeysuckle Hut is ideally located for exploring the nearby attractions, with Port Isaac, Polzeath, Rock, and Padstow all within easy reach. We loved the convenience of being able to visit these beautiful spots while returning to such a peaceful retreat.
Overall, our stay was truly wonderful, and we would highly recommend Honeysuckle Hut to anyone looking for a tranquil countryside getaway.
- Geraldine (10/5): Excellent short stay - Lovely & cosy very peaceful and comfy Never stayed in a shepherds hut before but will again Nothing
- Carola (10/5): Exceptional - We really liked our short stay. You get everything you need and the hut is in a pristine condition.
We would like to come back some time. And you have also a nice view if you like nature. :) If we could, we would give a 12 instead of a 10-rating. ;) Be careful as the driveway is a little bumpy. So it might not be suited for every vehicle. Also don't expect your car to be clean after the stay ;)
- Harry (10/5): Exceptional - Super cozy, private and spacious hut ideal for a short trip away
- Graham (10/5): Great location, good value for money - Great location, nice and piece full. Nothing I didn’t like
- Gav (7/5): Good -

- Graham (6/5): Pleasant -
- Chris (10/5): Excellent - Good Nothing
- Dee (8/5): Honeysuckle hut 1 night stay - The quietness was lovely for a night away and the views were amazing the area outside was kept very neat and tidy. The card which was left on the side was a lovely touch as was the bottle of prosecco and pint of milk. I also contacted the host as needed a taxi to get to wadebridge as the nearest bus stop was on a main busy rd with no pavement and Lucy didn't hesitate in giving us a few numbers. The wood that was left for the fire was damp and kept putting the fire out and was concerned as the carbon monoxide alarm kept going off which was concerning. Apart from that was a lovely place and would deffinately stay again but would drive there.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely place loved the wildlife owls bats ect Lucy was really nice and helpful great place to stay
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was clean and cozy and a lovely log burner with wood supply if needed nice shower too Everything OK except we has some pasties to heat up but to no avail
Maybe a microwave would have helped
But can't fault it otherwise would book again 👌👌👌
- Austin (9/5): Totally relaxing idilic setting - Lovely location close to nice beaches The drive was a bit rough bumpy but to be expected as off main road and nicely secluded
- Emmie (10/5): Amazing! - It was super clean, comfortable and the views were amazing. Very secluded and perfect for a night away.
- Roma (10/5): It was a beautiful stay, perfect way to end our holiday. The hut was so cosy and romantic and had everything you need. T - Beautiful location, it had everything we needed. It was so romantic. There aren’t any public footpaths close by to go for walks.
