• Holger Christian (9/5): - Abbiamo trascorso una settimana nell'ampio appartamento con terrazza privata e ci siamo trovati benissimo. La vista dalle nostre finestre sulle antiche mura di Montone è splendida. Il letto è incredibilmente comodo e non manca nulla. Il proprietario è molto gentile e disponibile. Se cercate pace e tranquillità, questo è il posto perfetto. Grazie mille!

Colazione eccezionale e ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo Da tenere in considerazione che la posizione, strategica per raggiungere diverse località dell'Umbria, è raggiungibile attraverso una strada un po' tortuosa...ma ne vale la pena!
• Fiona (9/5): - Kind friendly owner who accepted a late check in. We only stayed one night as we we only there for a meeting but it was easy to find and the road was good to get to it with easy parking. Very comfortable bed , all facilities there with bottle water provided and tea and hot water. Had a lovely breakfast , in a cosy comfortable seating area inside as we were there in April. They provided gluten free alternatives for my husband which was kind.

• Lorenzo (7/5): Bella struttura, in stile antico, gentilezza personale, peccato per lo sterrato ! - Il posto è immerso nella natura, è tutto in stile antichizzato, si dorme bene, il bagno è spazioso, la temperatura in stanza è ideale. La colazione è molto buona e completa, il personale è molto gentile e a disposizione. Per arrivarci c'è un tratto di strada sterrata tra salite e discese per cui consiglio al servizio Booking di segnalarlo a dovere nella descrizione della struttura. All'arrivo il gestore non era a conoscenza che fossimo in tre, credeva che eravamo in due, anche se prontamente ha integrato quello che mancava e comunque c'era già un letto in più. La stanza era molto pulita ma ho avuto a che fare con qualche cimice e qualche insetto sul piumone, sicuramente dovuto al fatto che la struttura è in aperta campagna.

• Elisabetta (8/5): Immersi nella natura prima della Marcia sulla Pace - La posizione è panoramica, calma e tranquilla. Per arrivarci c'è un pezzetto di strada bianca ma è curata. Abbiamo scoperto il Comune di Montone, è veramente un borgo bellissimo. Buona la colazione, accoglienza più che soddisfacente, torneremo!

• Sadikario (10/5): A real 💎 - It feels like you are guest at someone home. The view is spectacular. The rooms are cozy and very authentic. Total silence and pure relaxation. Perhaps the pool should be bit larger and the pool area in general needs a bit more space.

• Peter (9/5): Superb - Sometimes while visiting a classic Italian hilltop village you want to stay right inside the town and sometimes you want to enjoy the classic experience from a bit afar, and Borgo Cardaneto was wonderfully the latter. Having a glass of wine from the peaceful late-afternoon patio of my room with the lovely town of Montone up on the hill framed by my olive trees was exquisite. My host there could not have been more cordial and I trust you will enjoy your stay too.

• Kelly (9/5): Charming property with lovely views - This is a great little B&B, very welcoming and easy to find. I only stayed one night and could find no fault. The breakfast was simple, but it is out of season and there was only one other guest staying, so my guess is this is not the normal breakfast on offer during the summer. The views are fantastic, the room was large and the bed was comfy. I would have loved to stay longer and come back in the summer when the pool is in use. I feel bad writing this as I was going to tell the lovely man who runs the property, only I forgot before I departed. The shower has a very slow drainage and started to over flow in to the room. But my guess is if they read this they will have it sorted very quickly. This is a property where you can see they care about it!

• Mitchell (10/5): Exceptional - It was so peaceful here! The room was beautifully decorated, and the surroundings are stunning. Most importantly we loved the kindness of the man who took care of us whilst we stayed here. He made this stay really special. Breakfast was also incredible!

• Iryna (10/5): If there’s a heaven on Earth, it’s at Borgo Cardaneto. - We loved everything about this place. I’d definitely say that the best memories of our trip across the country were made here. It’s a very special place, from the interior and exterior to the way guests are treated and the attention they receive. There was a lovely man who took care of us. Although he didn’t speak English, he did his best. Their attitude toward children is absolutely wonderful. Love, love, love! Nothing, just perfect!

• Deb (10/5): Exceptional - We had a double room in a building that was built into the hillside, entered from stairs underground and then a French door on the opposite side of room that opened to a small shaded area overlooking the vast valley below and the beautiful Montone, a hilltop village straight across the valley. The view was magic and made us smile every morning when we woke. It was then down the path to a small but lovely pool near the mountain edge. We had exploring to do, so regrettably didn't have as much time to spend just relaxing at the venue, as we would have liked. A next visit for this is being planned. We had a delicious and plentiful breakfast each morning with many choices available. It was a 20-30 min walk to Montone, an uphill, and down dale stroll. There are other accommodation types at the B&B, I believe, but we just loved ours. There wasn't air con, but we didn't need it because of the underground nature of the room, and it was very hot out. Montone is a delightful village and was the purpose for our initial stay, however the area has some lovely other villages and a devine winery not if you have a car to explore in. Really couldn't find anything to fault, loved it.
• Nissa (10/5): Perfect retreat in nature, with stunning views - This is a peaceful, tranquil, beautiful place. The view from the room was stunning. Seeing the town of Montone in this distance was beautiful from morning to night. Everything in the room was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you need to cook. The property is beautiful and we walked everyday on the road and trails. It is just 5 minute drive or 15 minutes walk to Montone which has several restaurants. The Wednesday morning market in Umbertine was wonderful. The whole area is green and quiet and very laid back...lovely for taking country drives. We loved visiting Gubbio. The host is very helpful, accommodating and kind. He prepared a perfect breakfast and coffee for us each morning. This place is a delight. Anyone would be lucky to stay here!

• Emily (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, lovely room with outdoor area, good bathroom and spacious. Pool was lovely - though more for plunge than a swim. luckily was very quiet so we had it to ourselves. Could be unusable if place was busy. Host and breakfast delightful. Not a problem for us, but it is very bumpy road to get here and further from village than we suspected. Tricky if you don’t have a car.
