Guest Reviews
- Guest (10/5): Exellent Experience - Our host Captain Wilson was very accomadating and nice, the original boat we had rented was getting repaired so our host, upgraded our stay at no charge . Boat was clean, cozy and comfotable. Very close to BC place. Marina felt very safe. We would deffinatly reccomend staying here. Thank you Captain Wilson for a wonderful experience.

- Tom (10/5): I would recomend this yatch if you want a unique experience. - The location was great, closed to many ammenities. The yatch experience was unique. It's not like a regular airbnb so don't expect it to be. You are on a boat on the water.

- Susan (10/5): - One of the best trips in my life. Such a unique and positive experience. Excellent location and Wilson was a top class host. So helpful and accommodating. Would highly recommend this booking.
- Gerard (9/5): - Great location, A very comfortable Boat , really enjoyed staying on the "Gypsies Drifter" The owner was very helpful with everything., will definitely book again!
- Alisha (10/5): - He didn't tell us the key was on the boat knowing we where comming in late and we had to stay in our car the first night
- Fatemeh (4/5): It would be a good stay if it was clean - It was new experience for us so interesting to stay in a boat over night. The guy who handover the boat and briefed us to facility was helpful. It was terribly dirty.. luckily we are staying in Vancouver and we went home to use washroom and take shower.. even garbage bin was full.. all the kitchenware, fridge, microwave and sheets were disgustingly dirty. One of the bedrooms carpet was wet and full night had a bad smell and make the cabin cold.
One of the washroom facility which looks bigger was out of service..hygiene was severely compromised..
- Frances (1/5): Unacceptable. I would warn others about this booking.com - Unfortunately it was not at all as it was represented by the booking.com info and pictures. The area where the dock is located is in an unsafe area of Vancouver. Sadly we saw some quite disturbing sights in the vicinity of the dock area. The “security“ gate was broken into while we were there and we witnessed two people making several trips ferrying goods up the ramp. The owner was of no assistance and suggested that we should go and shout at the intruders. We had to call the police who attended. More importantly the boat itself was not able to be secured because the door lock was broken. When we pointed this out to the owner his “solution” was to store our valuables on the Sun bridge and gave us a flimsy bicycle lock to secure the hatch, not really acceptable unfortunately. The boat inside was not clean by any means. Stained upholstery, dirty galley, pots and pans stuffed into a cupboard. It was apparent the owner had not put much thought into what his guests might need for their stay. Very little cutlery but lots of chopsticks thrown in a drawer, the coffee maker was filthy and we did not use it, a few plastic plates stuffed in a cupboard and paper throwaway cups. The pots and pans thrown under the sink did not look very clean and we didn’t want to use them. We were given 2 litres of potable water for 3 days. Again, not really acceptable. The fridge seal was broken and leaked water onto the galley floor as well as another mysterious water leak that required regular mopping up. When we arrived for our stay and to meet the owner he came out of the forward cabin with a sopping wet towel, not sure what where that came from. For some reason the water tank could only be partially filled and he would have to come back when it was down and add more water but not fill it. Very odd ! The “heating system” was two ineffective fan heaters that tripped out regularly. Please see the photos for some examples of what I am talking about. I have several other photos illustrating the issues we have raised. In conclusion all I can say is that it is obvious that booking.
- Courtney (10/5): Wonderful weekend away in a fabulous location! - We loved the location. The parking was a little far away which we weren't expecting, but once we got it figured out, it was a nice walk. The bed was super comfortable and the owner came and showed us everything we needed to know during our stay. We will definitely be keeping Gypsies Drifter in mind for future trips! There weren't any coffee cups, but we made do using the solo cups provided.

- Carole Shaw (10/5): Superb and unusual accommodation and location - Superb accommodation and location. Wonderful to wake up to the water lapping at your door. Everything you could want was provided. Close to transport links. Could do with a toaster.
- Levon (9/5): - Location, value, owner was very very friendly. Very comfortable nights sleep. Quiet peaceful location. We didn't get the actual boat we booked. However we were given an adequate replacement.
