It was a bucket list item for us to stay here. While it’s pricey, you feel like you’re special here. You won’t forget the experience. Didn’t want to leave.

I got into the hotel to check in only to be told there was no room available AFTER I had processed booking and payment on booking.com I had the most horrible experience at Chateau. I got into the hotel to check in only to be told there was no room available AFTER I had processed booking and payment on booking.com. I was met with such degrading attitude by the night time manager. When I questioned how I was possible to make a booking but they are telling me there are no rooms available. I asked if they had made a mistake. Only to be yelled at by the manager that is it not his fault. Regardless of it being his fault or not I expected the most historical property in Los Angeles would have some competent employees who knows about customer service. Clearly the hotel does not have that standard when it comes to their employees therefore do not expect anything extraordinary here.
• Gail (9/5): Love the property! - Alex the chef is outstanding and the food and service superb! Love the pool and everyone except for the girl at check in was wonderful and really kind. The entire reason we booked a room with booking.com was because we wanted a patio. Booking.com site said a patio was included. That’s what we paid for but No… When we arrived the girl at the desk charged us hundreds of dollars extra for a room with a patio. That was very disappointing since we had just stayed at the hotel 2 weeks prior & it was late at night when we checked in so obviously nobody else was going to book the room she charged us so much extra for. I thought that was rude.

From the moment I arrived I felt something you can’t buy or plan:authenticity,atmosphere and history.I was met not with formality but with grace.Ana from the front desk stood out. My Suite was filled with character! It simply exist in its rare category-where soul, service and subtlety meets.Every member of the staff was was utterly charming,attentive and effortlessly elegant. I will return as soon as possible. Two days were not enough. Thank you -

Это очень модное место, вечером тусовки , шумно, весело. Номер оочень маленький. Особенно неудобная , маленькая душевая кабина. И, конечно , всё старенькое - особенно это заметно в ванной комнате. Но к этому мы были готовы. Остановиться в этом отеле более чем на пару ночей мне бы не хотелось.

Gardens, fountain are well cared for. Complimentary bottled water at night turn down was very thoughtful. The steak frites at the restaurant was so very delicious! A bit pricey. We arrived at 2 pm, aware this is early, was told we would receive a text when room was ready; approaching 4 pm, we checked with reception again & was then given a key. Seems as if we were forgotten.

• Hans (10/5): Amazing hotel with a lot of history - - a unique experience in LA’s most historical hotel - amazing atmosphere, boutique style - very good service - rooms are outdated, particularly the bathrooms. I know this is part of the concept, but this is a five star hotel so i would expect at least the bare minimum without losing the historical appeal

I worried this iconic hotel would be snobby, but I have never felt more welcome by the charming staff. Loved the ambience, midnight food menu, and breakfast in the patio restaurant. We met many of the guests, which was fun. The black floor in the lobby, gothic architecture, and gardens enchanting. We only stayed one night, then we checked into the Beverly Hills Hotel. Next time we will stay at Chateau Marmont!

Alcune persone dello staff mancano a volte di rispetto verso ai clienti… mi è capitato almeno tre volte di essere fortemente imbarazzato per battute fastidiose e antipatiche, in particolare coloro che accompagnano al ristorante i clienti… battute su abbigliamento e frasi sussurrate ironiche ad altri colleghi. Nate was so kind to us and upgraded our room as we were on honeymoon! Would find it really hard to stay anywhere else in LA after staying at Chateau Marmont! Even bumped into Jessica Simpson in the elevator! There was nothing we didn’t like!

Had a nice big room but a shame there was no balcony (which it showed for this room type in the booking.com photo). A great hotel to see celebrities. (Baz Luhrmann at the next table one night). Concierge was always very helpful. Restaurant terrific too. Nice to have a kitchenette. Could be noisy at night (but I suppose that is to be expected). Room furniture a bit of a hodgepodge. None of the styles matched. Quite a few of the doors had been removed which was a bit strange, especially in the bathroom area. Pool was fine but not as good as other high end LA hotels.

• Alec (10/5): A remarkable and magical anniversary getaway. - I loved the personalized touch. I mentioned that I was staying here for my anniversary with my partner. I was stunned to see wine waiting for us but also receiving a room upgrade. It was a literal dream. I do not remember his name but he was working the front desk, hispanic, and told us he lives in Ktown. He made my trip with my partner just out of this world. The wine was great but being surprised to a room upgrade was just everything. I wish I could stay here everyday That I had to leave. I wanted to stay every single day lol.
