• Shang (6/5): They tried to put us into a smaller room than the one we booked and overcharge us for breakfast - They provided liquid hand soap and other toiletries which is not very usual in a lot of accommodations in Sri Lanka. Hatton is cool so it was fine without AC. The staff helped with bags and offered our driver a room. We booked a room with two double beds but when we arrived we were initially given a smaller room with just one double bed. The staff cleaned the other room swiftly and gave us the correct room. They quoted us 1800 rupees per person for breakfast which is already more expensive than most hotels. When we checked out, the staff attempted to charge us more (2200 rupees). Breakfast was purchased by staff from local shops rather than made on site. The towels and duvet cover had visible dirt marks. One of the duvets was ridiculously long with a much shorter duvet cover. The room could have been cleaned better if it weren’t so rushed. Noise: We could hear call to prayer at 5 am.

• Khan-Marcus (10/5): Warm and friendly staff member. Perfect location. - Tailer's cottage was truly outstanding. What made it special was the staffmember, Jeewa. He went above and beyond to cater to my needs. He made excellent tea and breakfast. Very knowledgeable about the town. Very warm and welcoming. My room upstairs was very modern and comfortable. The view of the building opposit was not the best when I pulled the curtains at night, it was not an issue. It is 1- minutes from town walking. Absolutely loved my stay and would highly recommend it. Loved everyhting

The room was spacious and exceeded my expectations. The washroom was modern and very clean. Jeeva also helped me find authentic Sri Lankan food for both dinner and breakfast. I was very happy with his service and the homestay facilities. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and would love to come back again.

The location was perfect, close to [Hatton trailway, Bus Stand], yet peaceful. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, going out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. Rooms can and should have fan as there is no ac . It's hot out there. Parking is tough and location with no mistake of anyone is bit hard to reach.
