• Celeste (10/5): Cumple las expectativas - Todo limpio y muy ordenado. Cuenta con agua caliente y cómodas habitaciones. El desayuno un poco simple, pero se entiende por la tarifa del hotel.

I arrived at 4:50am, and was allowed to check in early - and was even given breakfast despite getting an early check-in rate and not being charged for the full night. If the staff of TruGarden read this - I am immensely grateful for how you helped me with this. Bed wasn't super comfortable. It was fine, but not amazing.

• Marcelo (7/5): Good - Great location. A few blocks from huge shopping mall and quaint restaurants and cafés. The WiFi signal was spotty when it worked, though it was down +90% of the time I was there.

The ladies who run the hotel are super friendly and even surprised me by offering to doo my washing for me which was a massive help. The hotel is out of the town centre. I always walked and it's easy if sometimes dusty!!!!
• Bernd (8/5): Very welcoming staff! - Stayed at the Tru Garden before. Was a pleasure to come back. If I could rate the staff a 12, I would. They help you with anything and everything. They store your luggage if your flight leaves late. If they have a room available they even let you in early! Nothing comes to mind. As mentioned in an earlier review, the location is not near the center, but you know that when you book it. Nothing a fairly cheap taxi can fix!
• Bernd (8/5): The people make the difference! - First of all this was my first hotel in Peru on my first visit of Peru. So I have no comparison to other hotels. But I can say this: People make the difference. From what I could find out it is a family run it and they go above and beyond to make your stay as memorable and as comfortable as possible. When I couldn't book a bus from from A to B they stepped in and book and paid the bus ticket for me (I paid them back of course, but nevertheless that just shows what kind of people they are! They were patient und always welcoming - great experience. They are fairly new to Booking.com, because they took over the hotel from someone else. There little things which could be and I am sure will be improved over time, but since they are only running this place for 2-3 months it will take time. In fact when I go back to Trujillo I will stay there again! It is a bit far from downtown, but I knew that when I booked it, so no complaints here!
• Marcelo (8/5): Very good - The general manager was welcoming and accommodating. I checked in early and was offered the opportunity to relax in the lounge or have my luggage stored while I went out to eat and my room was prepared. They also coordinated my airport transfer with a reputable taxi service. Some of the metal fixtures like the clothing rod in the closet and the towel rack and faucets in the bathroom were rusted.
• Katherine (10/5): Helpful staff, clean, safe - I stayed here after a long bus ride from Ecuador. I arrived around midnight. This hotel was clean and safe. They had 24 hour reception, they confirmed with me before my stay that someone would be there to check me in. The breakfast was good and delivered to the room! The owners were so helpful and helped me figure out a ride and gave me other public transit options as well.
