- Stephen (2/5): Great location and value for money let down by a terrible restaurant - Location. We have stayed here many times as an overnight stop over between Northern and Southern Thailand. The restaurant. No prawns, no sea bass, no river fish, no deep fried fish cakes. As non-meat eaters the only thing we could eat was a vegetable fried rice and it was terrible!
We will not return and will find somewhere else in Chai Nat to stay.
- Hannu (1/5): Vaatimaton taso. Henkilökunta ystävällistä. - Majoittuessa respan henkilökunta ylimielinen. Taso vaatimaton. Suihkut puuttuivat ja ammeiden reunoilta suihkuverhot.
- Mario (7/5): - Petits geycos dans la chambre
- ประภาพร (10/5): - อาหาร
- Andries (9/5): Heel fijn hotel, mooi gelegen aan de rivier - Mooie ruime kamer. Restaurant op terras aan de rivier, prima plek om te eten. Erg vriendelijke staff. Fietsen mochten binnen in de hal staan. Niets.

- Stephen (7/5): Excellent location and value for money but overall it could be even better …. - Location. View from the balcony. Overall value for money. 2 x outdoor chairs for the balcony. The shower was disappointing as the shower head is too low and the water wasn’t very hot. For the breakfast buffet it needs a commercial toaster as a 2 slice domestic toaster isn’t adequate for the number of guests. Please don’t cook so many fried eggs in advance!!!. By 7:00 a.m. when breakfast starts they are cold as they are put on cold plates and the yokes are solid as they have been left out so long. We stay here regularly and have raised this many times but it doesn’t get addressed.
- Martin (9/5): Classic riverside hotel - Beautiful location by river. Classic older hotel. Lovely staff and excellent food Some room facilities ( bedside lights) not working or missing!
Google maps took us a very long way round through rice fields and farming, very dark streets. Our balcony view was obstructed by a wall so we didn't get full river view.
- ประสิทธิ์ (8/5): - มีตัวเลือกอาหารเช้าน้อยไปหน่อย
- Jason (10/5): Great accommodation, friendly staff and good breakfast. - The staff are always so polite and helpful.
We stay here every time we visit Chai Nat.
The rooms are always clean and we have never had any facilities that don't work. We dont have anything that we don't like here 🤔

- Andrew (8/5): The restaurant was excellent. Great service, relaxing riverside views and fantastic food. - The breakfast was excellent! Plenty of choice and the food and drinks were delicious. The wi-fi for the room didn't work and the hotel wifi was a little patchy at times.

- Stephen (9/5): Excellent Value for Money - Location, quietness, value for money. The card payment machine always seems to have a connection problem. Make sure you have cash or can make payment via QR Code.
- Sanee (9/5): - อาหารอร่อย
- Matthew (7/5): Good - Great location with a decent sized room. Bed was a bit too hard for my liking.
- Stephen (7/5): Great value for money but need to sort the breakfast buffet out - Location. Value for money. Breakfast. We stay here regularly as a stop over between Chiang Mai and Hua Hin. We go to breakfast at 7:00 a.m. every time. The buffet breakfast is cooked and laid out so early the hot food has gone cold. Some items are in trays on burners but other items are not. The fried eggs (about 30) are just put on cold plates. They are always stone cold. My guess is the fried eggs have been sat there for at least 30 mins. When we arrive the chef is sat outside the restaurant. Between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. only 4 guests ate breakfast. Why can’t the chef cook fried eggs once the breakfast opens and do fresh ones as required. Or at least put them on a hot plate. As non-meat eaters this and fried rice there the only hit things we can eat. Very disappointing.
- Stephen (8/5): Stay here regularly but they need to do better with the hot food at breakfast - Location, value for money. We arrived for breakfast at 7:00 a.m.when the restaurant opens. The choice of buffet food was good but the hot food was already going cold. The fried eggs were stone cold and had clearly been cooked and sat there on two cold plates for a significant amount of time before the restaurant opened.
- Ken (1/5): Bad - The food at the restaurant. The damn music in the event hall that is next door and part of the hotel. The drum beat went on until well after 11p.m. and gave me a physical headache. If you're looking to relax for the weekend or the night, choose a different hotel.
- Paulvturner (4/5): Disappointing - The room wasn't as described
The feature was meant to be a hot tub but it didn't exist. If it was the bath then it was far too small, really crap.
One day we had to ask for the room to be cleaned
No safe deposit box
No telephone in the room to contact reception
- Stephen (8/5): Excellent as always but disappointed the restaurant was shut - We stay here regularly as a stop off point between Chiang Mai and Prachuap Khiri Khan. Always rate as 5* taking everything into account and it offers fantastic value for money. This is the first time we have not rated 5*. We arrived to be told the on-site restaurant was shut. Having driven for over 6 hours we just wanted to relax and eat at their riverside restaurant. We had to get back in our car and find another restaurant. When we returned to the hotel the restaurant was open. We asked why and they said customers had turned up. Be aware the restaurant is shut on Sundays. Unless of course they decide to open it. But not for us. Very disappointing.
- Jason (10/5): English native and Chai Nat native recommend this hotel - Everything. I'm definitely staying here every time I stay in Chai Nat. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Thai-style breakfasts were great. The housekeeping team were above and beyond expectations. Definitely my go-to hotel for Chai Nat! If I had to choose... maybe the 'American breakfast'?
Was still nice, though
- Stephen (9/5): Incredible value for money! - Incredible value for money. We regularly drive from Chiang Mai to Hua Hin and the hotel provides the perfect stop off location. The hotel a little tired and the rooms could do with some updating but that is reflected in the price.
- Adam (9/5): We like this hotel and we would stay again. - Everything was good for breakfast and for dinner at the hotel restaurant.
The location was great for us and we enjoyed the river.
The employees were nice and very helpful. The bathroom smelled bad.
- Philip (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (10/5): Perfect! - The best value for money hotel we have ever stayed at.
- Stephen (10/5): Best value for money hotel! - It is the perfect overnight stay on a road trip from Chiang Mai to Hua Hin. After a 500 km drive, park the car, relax in the comfortable room and have a reasonably priced delicious meal at the on-site riverside restaurant. Great sleep in a very quiet room and a great breakfast catering to Thai and Western tastes. We were the only foreigners staying there but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Probably helped that we can both speak a fair amount of Thai. The property is a little tired but given the price it is the best value hotel in Thailand we have ever stayed at. Living in Thailand we have stayed at dozens and dozens of hotels.
- Duncan (8/5): Very good -
- Hans (7/5): Good -
- Helene (8/5): Enjoyed our stay - Ambiance
- Suvimon (8/5): Very good -
- Pattyfreque (6/5): Good location - Location Room a bit too old-fashioned
- Pattyfreque (7/5): Good - the Location was nice and quiet The room was a bit too old-fashioned
- Mark (8/5): If you are coming to Chainat, I recommend this Hotel. - The breakfast was well prepared and presented. They kept the buffet stocked and there was a fair amount of choices.
I have stayed many times and this is the place I chose every time because of the comfort of the rooms and the breakfast buffet. I love the Breakfast by the River! You can always say something could have been better but for the price and quality, I really like this place. They have bikes for you you to use, What's not to like? Oh, Maybe the staff if not so good...NOT!!! They re great!!!
- Rhys (8/5): good value , friendly helpful staff - right on the river and street frontage had massive action for Songkran restaurant shuts early
