Brenda (7/5): Nice and relaxing short stay near the monarch sanctuary. - Location was perfect as it was just beside the Spartan Race. If you don't enjoy remote locations, this might not be your first choice. It is also close to one of the many monarch butterfly sanctuaries, so it is an ideal location to stay if you are planning to climb up to the sanctuary. Very calm and relaxing. we loved spending time by the fireplace outside. Food was ok and staff was very friendly and accommodating. Value for money is a question mark for me. Cabins are cute and cozy but are really basic, so for me they are definitely overpriced (although there are not many options around, which might explain the price point). There is no wifi and poor/no phone signal, consider option B comms in case of emergency, especially of travelling with children! Check-out time was way too early (11.30am) for us as we attended the Spartan race and only at that time our race finished. Water heater was broken so couldn't shower. These cabins recently opened so definitely room for improvement! but great choice for a short stay surrounded by nature.
