• Saurabh (7/5): Great one - The property is in town which is walking distance (2.8km) from Kirkjufell as well as various view points for Kirkjufell. Apartment has almost everything you may need for a short stay. Wifi sucked. Owner had promised that it will be fixed, so may not be a concern for future stay. Had to buy additional data packs, as we had rest days. There is no washing machine
• Giovannini (8/5): Buono - Spaziosa per 3 persona, cucina ben fornita. Molto vicina al Vinbudin ;) Bagno da rivedere, doccia piccola e scomoda con getto d’acqua inefficace. La finestra del bagno rimane sempre leggermente aperta e con il vento fa sbattere continuamente la porta.
• Delphine (7/5): Emplacement idéal pour visiter la région, mais attention à la propreté du logement - Grand appartement confortable avec un vrai salon. Literie super. Belle vue de la cuisine qui était bien équipée. Sinon, on est en pleine ville. Emplacement idéal pour faire le tour de la péninsule. Supermarché à proximité. Parking juste devant. Nous avons eu le code pour entrer dans le logement peu avant 19h, après l'avoir réclamé bien avant, et alors que les instructions d'arrivée étaient déjà données. Le logement n'était pas très propre (intérieur frigo et portes de placards sales, cheveux dans la salle de bains, sol...), alors qu'il est demandé avant d'arriver de laisser le logement "aussi propre" en partant que lorsqu'on est arrivé ! (encore jamais vu ça chez booking)... L'annonce mentionne sèche-linge, mais attention, ni lave-linge, ni sèche-linge dans ce logement.

• Michael (4/5): Disappointing - It gives me no pleasure to write this report. Olga was very helpful and replied to correspondence very quickly. The location was excellent. Sadly the apartment wasn't at all clean particularly in the bathroom and kitchen. My wife found a discarded plaster in the shower tray and there was a large crack in the sink. There was considerable grime around the cooker hood. The apartment overall felt tatty with paint peeling off in the bathroom and some of the kitchen chairs needing TLC.

• Joel (1/5): Ne conseille pas le logement - Rien Expérience extrêmement décevante. La personne qui loue ce logement est malhonnête, peu arrangeante et absolument pas accueillante. Tout semble tourner uniquement autour de l’argent, sans aucune considération pour le bien-être des locataires. En plein hiver en Islande, nous avons eu de sérieux problèmes avec des fenêtres qui ne fermaient pas correctement, ce qui est totalement inacceptable compte tenu des conditions climatiques. Au lieu de chercher une solution, la propriétaire nous a menacés d’appeler la police simplement parce que nous la contactions à ce sujet. Le séjour a été très pénible dans sa globalité. À cela s’ajoute une cuisine clairement sous-équipée pour trois personnes, ce qui complique encore plus le quotidien. Nous avons passé un très mauvais moment et ne recommandons absolument pas ce logement.

Ho effettuato il check-in e il check-out in maniera autonoma ma senza alcun problema grazie alle indicazioni fornite. Ringrazio e consiglio l'appartamento.

• Maurice (1/5): Absoluter Fehlgriff - Das einzig Gute an der Unterkunft war die Lage. Das war es dann aber auch schon. Schlechte Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin. Keine Antwort mehr auf Fragen nach dem Check in. Schimmel in der Wohnung. Nicht wirklich gut gepflegt oder geputzt. Überall noch Haare auf dem Boden. Wirklich in die Jahre gekommen und dafür ein nicht gerechtfertigt hoher Preis. Sehr hellhörig, keine Nachtruhe möglich und da sich hier 4 Appartements das heiße Wasser teilen, schnell kein warmes Wasser mehr. Schlechte Ausstattung des Bads. Die Dusche wackelt und ist viel zu klein. Toilettenpapier muss hier selbst dazu gekauft werden. Wir können nur davon abraten !!!

• Jon (9/5): Wonderful spacious apartment with great location and view. - Ground floor apt with off street parking and amazing view of Kirkjufell, right in the middle of Grundarsfjordur. Initially thought the frosted glass was odd, but it works perfectly from inside to sit and stare at the mountain with privacy. Large apt with kitchen and separated small area for sofa with large TV. Olga was great communicator. Towels had musty smell. The ONLY thing I could suggest is possibly an ice cube tray for the freezer.

• Luca (6/5): Pleasant - Clean, wide and well equipped flat The building is pretty old, internally refurbished. Probably it was a shop or similar before being transformed in a guesthouse. Missing privacy, and bad view: the flat is at ground floor, facing a parking area, with main and big windows. Yes there are mountains in the far surrounding, and if you're lucky and have good weather you can see them. But what you have just in front are cars and asphalt, and people passing 20 cm from your windows. So in the end you have to always keep the curtains closed, or decide to make a show of yourself while you come out naked from the shower. Noisy bedroom (unidentified equipment working by night)

• Jessica (8/5): Spacious Apartment with a Comfortable Bed - The apartment was very spacious, which was ideal for our four night stay. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. Local cafes and restaurants are in easy walking distance, the village shop is very close and access to local hiking is straightforward. The village is also on the main road so heading out to explore other areas of the peninsula is very simple. Communication prior to our stay was sufficiently clear. The curtains don't really block out the light very well, so if you're sensitive to that then bring an eye mask. We both slept fine, but I once slept through an earthquake so I'm probably a bad comparison point. There were bins in the flat for food waste, normal rubbish and for paper and card. To recycle metal and glass there are some bins next to the local shop, I think there was a bin for plastic recycling inside the local shop.

The space was pleasant for a small group, and the kitchen was well-equipped so we could make dinner and breakfast with our own groceries. The listing says that there is a king bed, a full bed, and a sofa bed, but the sofa bed has been removed and replaced with two small sofas. We pushed the two sofas together to make it work but this means the space is pretty cramped for 4 people.

• Elizabeth (9/5): Amazing apartment in a great location. - After multiple nights of sharing a triple room, having this 2 bedroom apartment was wonderful for my family. We had everything we needed, the view was beautiful and we had an amazing dinner right across the street at Harbour Cafe. Google maps still shows the property as Lux Apartments, which is a bit confusing but ended up being fine. The only thing I'd improve about the apartment is making the shower a bit larger.

It was very clean and the appartment kitchen was well equipped. The staff was very nice. Unfortunately we only stayed one night, but we enjoyed our time there.
• Chris (8/5): Convenient Stay at Olga Apartments Grundarfjörður - Smooth check-in with clear lockbox instructions. Apartment was spacious, though bedroom was smaller but comfortable. Initial heating adjustment needed but resolved after first night. All necessary amenities provided. Shower is small for taller people. Excellent location near restaurants and supermarket.

• Artur (7/5): A cozy place with a horrible door lock - It was a nice, clean, cozy apartment. Shops were very close and check in/out was easy. The door lock - it was very hard to lock and unlock the door. Nobody answered the phone when we were calling the first evening when we couldn't open them for the first time. It took us a long time to get in during snow and it was stressful. Each time we wanted to use the door lock it took as a few minutes and my husband still can feel some pain on his palms. I wouldn't been able to open this door on my own. Also WiFi signal was poor.

• Paulina (6/5): Pleasant - A well-equipped, spacious apartment with a comfortable bedroom. If you don’t close the toilet seat cover, a geyser will appear in the bathroom. After a shower, the bathroom looks like it just rained (there’s no shower curtain). Icelandic openness provides a door lock with a complicated locking procedure. Even though the instruction I couldn’t lock it, and it’s a shame that despite earlier assurances that the owners are “dedicated to tourism,” no one showed up after I reported the issue—neither in the evening nor in the morning—to check if everything was okay or to prove me wrong about the lock being broken.
