- Silvia (10/5): Beautiful cottage in great location - Clean and spacious lounge and kitchen area. Well appointed kitchen. Free available parking. Great location next to friendly goats, cows and deer which we spotted every day. Friendly host. Very clean and well maintained.

- Louise (10/5): Exceptional - The location was great. In the countryside but close to Dumfries and A75. The hospital and farm shop. The kitchen was vèy well appointed . The outside would have been lovely to use,but we visited in January with the snow It was quiet ,warm and easy to make yourself comfortable. My only comment, would be a larger bed. But that is a personal choice.
- Fiona (10/5): Lovely quiet and peaceful rural retreat - The lodge is in a lovely rural, quiet and peaceful location and yet is really near Dumfries and the main A-road out to Galloway, so very near many of the tourist sites. A perfect location! The host, Wilma, met us on arrival and was really welcoming and helpful. The lodge itself was great - it had everything we needed - it was well equipped (you could actually cook and self-cater) and was warm and comfortable. We had a really wonderful stay! Thank you Wilma! Only very minor comment - the single track road the lodge is on could do with a bit of repair in the odd place, but this is obviously outside the owner's control (it's a public road). The road is also very quiet so it wasn't a big deal.
