• Pascale (4/5): - Terrasse avec tres belle vue Il n y a pas d espace commun à partager sauf la terrasse. Pour prendre le petit déjeuner il fait froid L établissement est sur 1 etage. Le wc et salle de bain est en bas. Il faut descendre pour aller au toilette pas d eclairage. Les portes sont fendues et laisse passer le froid. Pas propre

• Serena (7/5): Nice view & delicious fruit smoothie - Great view but it’s quite the hike up to the hostel. After the Inca steps, you will still have some ways to go. It’s not the fault of the Hostal but just something you would be aware of. Breakfast was good, bread, eggs, butter and jam with half a banana. You also get the choice between a fruit smoothie, tea or coffee. Wifi was good as well. Lots of blankets to keep you warm at night. You’ll wake up the sunrise. If you’re doing the south to north hike, you’re already on it so it will help save a bit of time - took about 6 hrs with breaks in between. There’s only one shared bathroom with shower. Shower is cold. Both the eating/common area and bathroom are outside so it can be chilly eating breakfast and a pain to have to go outside to the washroom - especially if it’s raining. No heating and the doors are secured via pad locks. No other meals available so you’ll need to get your lunch and dinner elsewhere.

• Kathleen (7/5): Very nice people. Basic facilities. - I liked the family who runs this. They are very kind and welcoming. The daughter cooked a great dinner, which was worth the 25 extra soles. I liked that it was close to the hike I wanted to go on (to the ceremonial site). The room was spacious and clean. I didn’t have hot water. The time of year (early September) was very cold and there’s really no escaping it here with the simplicity of the building and facilities so I was a bit uncomfortable. Breakfast was cold bread, 2 pancakes and tea. I don’t think they understand that pancakes require jam or syrup to be able to eat them. I would’ve preferred an egg.

• Timothy (10/5): Basic rooms but great value, and a super friendly welcome! - Sylvia, the manager, and her family are just delightful! The rooms are very basic, but clean, and the bed was comfortable and the blankets are warm. I woke up to watch the sunrise over Lake Titicaca from my bedroom window! And breakfast was lovely and filling. The wifi was surprisingly fast out on the balcony and in rooms closer to the entry. I mentioned that the rooms are a bit basic - but they’re fine for the price :) also, be aware that on Isla del Sol almost all properties require a climb uphill of about 200 metres. This is not only Hotel Amanacer - this is nearly all hotels. So it’s not a criticism of the hotel - just to raise awareness among visitors!

• Alice (5/5): Good location but poor facilities unfortunately. - Location is good, close to restaurants and the main port. Great terrace with beautiful view of the lake for sunrise. Ok breakfast There is only one bathroom for the whole complex and it is outside which is problematic. For example when it rains. No hot shower at night. The shower head was very dirty and the toilet Paper was wet. No soap provided to wash the hands.

• Eyar (8/5): Amazing view, staff and breakfast, no hot water though - Amazing view, great value for money. Efrain was so nice and helpful and even took us back to copa cabana once we were finished The shower had no hot water during the night
