She was very hospitable and friendly recommending lots of local places we would enjoy. The cottage was lovely, very nicely furnished, beautiful bathroom, well equipped, apart from a salt and pepper pot. We felt quite contented to stay in and relax when we had rain all day. There wasn’t really anything to dislike but it was a bit inconvenient to have to carry food and drink downstairs if you wanted to have breakfast on the patio. Also, I don’t really like the very narrow roads leading to the cottage. I wouldn’t like to travel down them on a dark rainy evening. We were disappointed that we were unable to see Ruskins View properly as the pathway was still closed off.

- Gillian (9/5): Lovely cottage in a peaceful location - A lovely cottage in a peaceful location but within walking distance of Kirkby Lonsdale for it's great pubs and restaurants. The Lakes and Dales are an easy drive away. Ella and Matt are wonderful hosts who live next door. We definitely recommend this cottage.
