Guest Reviews
- Richard (8/5): I’ve stayed many times and still love coming here. - Location is great Quaintly and self contained. Well equipped and comfortable.
- Vicky (9/5): -
- David (10/5): A great relaxing weekend away. - Very cosy and comfortable with a great location.
- James (10/5): A perfect cute small space to stay in a gorgeous location - Very attractive property and very well renovated. A small space, but perfect for 2 people and an excellent use of that space
- JMacGrory (10/5): - Very comfortable and well equipped cottage.
- Antoinette (8/5): -
- Lis (9/5): -
- TONI (9/5): - Stayed many times to see family and friends, perfect location for me Nothing apart from the rain
- Diane (9/5): We had a very comfortable stay at the cottage, for the second time. - Comfortable, well-equipped and convenient for visiting family. Nothing. The one small disadvantage is that there is no parking directly outside. We managed to find spaces nearby so it worked out fine but was slightly inconvenient when unpacking the car.
- Alistair (10/5): Lent value and very comfortable - A cosy artisanal house which has been sensitively modernised and upgraded. The village of Upper Beeding is attractive and has a remarkable Nisa Supermarket with an extraordinary range of grocery supplies; I confess we had been to Tesco before arriving for food for our first night- we should not. Have bothered as the Nisa store would have offered us everything we needed, and more. The Kings Head pub is 20m away from the front door and is friendly but, sadly, not offering evening meals at the moment. The landlord, however, drew our attention to the ‘pop-up’ Pan Asian street food van which visits on. Wednesday evenings the food was exceptional and freshly cooked.
As far as the accommodation itself is concerned,it was convenient, clean and had everything we needed - including washing machine and tumble drier. The electric shower (usually a bete noir of mine) was powerful with a good flow of water and easy to operate. Cooker and microwave speak for themselves. The heating was efficient but there was also a log burner with a small supply of logs and kindling. Parking is restricted beside the house but with care and attention there are spaces nearby.
All in all we had a thoroughly enjoyable time and will hope to reun soon. There was nothing to dislike.

- Victoria (10/5): Lovely peaceful terraced cottage - Tiny but delightful Victorian cottage, beautifully refurbished and well-equipped. Upper Beeding and Bramber are beautiful and historic, and this was a great location for exploring Sussex. No immediate parking. Not a problem for me but something others may need to consider.

- Diane (10/5): Exceptional - Tremeer Cottage is just lovely. We were greeted on arrival and shown around by a very friendly host. The cottage is clean and tidy, newly renovated, and very comfortable. The washing machine and tumble dryer were really handy as well in the middle of our South Downs Way. Just perfect.
- Elisabeth (9/5): Superb - Perfect location for South Downs way.
Everything very well put together considering the tiny space. Warm and well equipped. Delightful host. Very easy access.
- Diane (9/5): A lovely quiet and comfortable cottage - just right for a short stay. - The cottage has been very nicely renovated but still retains the charm of being an old building. It was clean and tastefully decorated. Although compact, it was well equipped with everything we needed. There were always parking spaces nearby but not always in the same place so you need to go looking.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Exceptional - I loved this gem of a cottage which has been extensively renovated but retains its historic charm. The kitchen is very well equipped, the bed is very comfortable and the shower really works! I particularly appreciated some little touches that made my stay comfortable, I arrived late and was delighted to find tea, coffee and milk available for the morning. There are even garden chairs for the tiny courtyard.
The cottage is in easy reach of the South Downs Way and Downs Link. The village has pubs and take aways and buses pass the end of the road.
Highly recommended.
- Barbara (7/5): We enjoyed our stay. - Nicely decorated. Good location. Comfy bed. Well equipped. Clean and tidy Parking a little difficult with a big car. Stairs rather steep for oldies like us but manageable with care.

- Barbara (10/5): Just perfect in every way .. we will be returning. Thank you . - It Was in great location and had every comfort and faculties we could ever want .
It was very nice to have the personal greeting from the host .
- John (9/5): Enjoyable value for money - Owners really friendly and helpful. Convenient for many locations on West Sussex. Parking not overly convenient
- Janet (9/5): A magical, homely yet modern convenient holiday base. Wonderful! - We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tremeer Cottage. We couldn’t have asked for a more characterful and beautifully updated place to stay. A wonderful mix of original and modern features and so close to excellent village pubs, store, restaurants and the historic Bramber Castle. There really wasn’t anything although perhaps the lack of on-site parking might deter prospective guests.
There is however plenty of on street parking nearby and this certainly wouldn’t stop us booking again even though my husband has difficulty walking.
- Inez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bridges (9/5): Superb - The house has been updated to a very high standard and has everything you could need on hand. It is in a very nice quiet location. Nothing major at all, parking was always available on the main road, never needed to walk more than 209 yards.
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (10/5): Quality cottage in West Sussex - A superb compact and very clean cottage sympathetically renovated to a high standard in a quiet location ideal for couples. Beds are a little soft for our tastes, but that's a personal preference.
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alan (8/5): It's a small apartment, very well equipped and has everything a couple need for a lovely stay. - The quality of the furnishings. Nothing
- Richard (8/5): Fantastic, don’t want to rave too much as I want to come back regularly. - Cute simple and compact. Nowhere to sit outside, but really that’s so minor as you are in a beautiful village in the countryside. Parking could be an issue, but there is local street and a free carpark just around the corner a little way.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roger (9/5): Suited my purposes very well and the hosts were concerned about my welfare - Convenient location and good facilities Parking was an issue and the stairs are a bit steep.
- Seymour (10/5): very comfortable everything you would need - The accommodation was excellent, the owner met me at the property and was very friendly and helpful Upper Beeding is a lovely little village a few minutes walk from Bramber also a lovely village, quiet and charming. The bed and shower were perfect. Everything you would need was supplied. I guess the parking was a little difficult because I came back late in the evening when everyone had parked up for the night also it was bank holiday so I guess there were visitors, but I always found a space and never had to walk more than a minute or two to the cottage, but I would still book this lovely cottage again.
- Patricia (9/5): All mod cons in property. Landlords were very friendly and helpful. An enjoyable stay. - We liked everything about the house. All refurbished to a good standard. Nothing to say negative.
- Heather (10/5): our stay was nice, plenty of walks from the location, a short dive to Brighton, the village is really quaint with river - it was cosy nothing
