- Imee (1/5): Bad - TOILET DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY, BED AND FLOOR DIRTY,COMMUNINICATION WITH STAFF IS HARD AND DIFFICULT TO CONTACT.
- Hana (5/5): WE were satisfied and when we visit London ,we book this hotel again, good price in city centrum - location perfekt, Broken shower,it did not go water from basin, very cold room
- Bethan (7/5): Great location , great base to sleep and not spend time In too - Property is great location and great price easy to get on public transport and see central London sites. The room was very unclean the bed bases had damp on them there was a wardrobe with no rail or no hangers so unable to use this. There was a hole in the floor or bathroom and the sides of shower were full of dirt.
There were drawing on the walls with pen and it was very run down.
- Sandor (2/5): Missed payed bathroom. - Nothing. The first night accomodation was without bathroom. I complain on reception by phone inmediately. They said it's impossible to solve the problem, but tomorrow I will get a proper room and rebate. Next day I get proper room, but nothing rebate for the first awful night. I reclaim at Booking.com, but they said they can't do anything. I have photos, videos, voice files as a proofs, but the promised rebate refused, and no answer for the reclamation.
- Iacomussi (1/5): lack of hygiene - Nothing It was dirty. Bathroom was under standards in terms of hygiene.
- Georgina (2/5): Ok for one night - The location for the Royal Albert hall was good Main reception was ok but room left a lot to be desired, states WiFi but no passwords left, even when asked. Tv with no remote, room just had beds in no wardrobes etc and damaged plasterwork/all looking very tired and the mirror fell off the wall as the screws weren’t fixed properly
- Rohanie (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Not the Ritz but fantastic value for money for London Hotel - No Breakfast included
- Amy (1/5): Shocking! - The location. Photos and descriptions are NOTHING like the actual accommodation.
We were greeted by a man in the hallway who didn't introduce himself, just asked what room & then proceeded to get our key our of the lock box which wasn't locked and told us directions to our room which was on the second floor. We opened the door to find three double beds in the room, pillow cases on inside out, a random fridge infront of the hot radiator, hardly enough space to open the door because one of the beds was in the way, and that was it! No bed side table, a lamp with no bulb, and an extension lead on the floor. The room was filthy, the floors were filthy, and everything made my skin crawl. The shared bathroom which had other people's personal belongings in was absolutely disgusting, scummy, the glass in the window had paint caked all over it for privacy, the shower floor was thick with grime, it was utterly shocking. In checking out, we locked the door and put our key back in the box and jumbled the numbers - not a lot else we could have done. Couldn't see any 'staff'. Thankfully, we only needed the place for somewhere to sleep. Even then, that was uncomfortable. Luckily I was with my partner, if I had been travelling alone I wouldn't have stayed there. It didn't feel safe & i took all valuables with me - didnt eant to leave anything there unattended. 100% would NOT recommend. Spend a little bit more money & stay elsewhere!
- Ankita (6/5): Average - Kitchen service was good Room was not clean . Spiders and dust in room mat was dirty
- John (3/5): Poor - Great location for the Royal Albert Hall. Hyde Park and museums. The room was downstairs and overlooked a filthy yard. The room had no wardrobes or even a drawer. Tiles were hanging off the bathroom walls and the floor was also lifting. The worst was ants crawling all over the floors and in the bed. Tv wouldn't work. Awful place.
- Shelley (1/5): Bad - This is a dyer place it's not what the pictures sell first room had a ants infestation and second room was moldy broke toilet seat floors bath was grim would rather sleep outside
- Paul (5/5): The room was where I needed to be but it was really basic - but then, for London, it was cheap - The bed was comfortable and clean. The hotel has no signs so is difficult to find. The bathroom was really not clean. There was no toilet paper!
- Stickyblue17 (1/5): A very bad exp - To start, we couldn't find the hotel as it is not named on the exterior of the building. We walked all over the place to find it. Once found, we couldn't get in. We didn't have the code. We had to phone a mobile number on the booking email. He, after 4 phone calls sent us the code. When we entered there was a bank of key locks. We were given a code but not the room number. So we started with the first one, using the code. The third lock opened, we took the key, went and entered the room only to find someone else's case lying on the bed. We were then given a different code and a room number. And finally found our room. Very cramped and not very clean. There were no towels available to wash and shower. Unfortunately, extremely poor. We were so glad that we were only staying for one night. Location is fantastic, next to the Royal Albert Hall.
- Bonnie (1/5): Horrible - Hotel was disgusting, was really dirty and the bathroom was full of ants and shower was mouldy and there was dirt everywhere, floors was filthy bedside table was dirty , didn’t have the facilities advertised…curtains was dirty and ripped ….wasnt a nice place to stay and defo not worth the money I paid . Waiting for the manger to contact me
- Cuckney (8/5): Very good - Attending a concert at Royal Albert Hall - very convenient, just a 2 minute walk Windows and shower could be cleaner.
- Anwesha (6/5): Pleasant -
- Shahzad (1/5): Didn't like it at all. - The room I was given had no heating and no hot water in the bathroom. And was given a thin blanket in a cold weather. After complaining was transferred to another room which had some heating but still have to use double blanket to sleep.
- Chris (2/5): Awful - No breakfast just some crisps in the room Was like a prison cell, not as described at all! Walls had graffiti and covered in cobwebs
- Erika (1/5): Bad - Horrible hotel not family friendly at all.Super dirty. You can't check in because none at the reception.Front door is looked.Stayed outside with 2 young kids. They said check in is at 3pm.Noone answered the calls.Postcode take you somewhere else.No sign at all .Absolutely disgusting.
- Adeyoju (10/5): Exceptional - Welfare, nearness to all landmarks and recreation centres
- Joanne (7/5): Budget accomodation in an expensive area - Location was excellent. Opposite Hyde Park. Very close to Royal Albert Hall and The V&A, Naturals History Museum and Science Museum. Finding the building
- Rachel (1/5): Very disappointed! - Location only! Nothing was clean, had to ask for bed sheets to be changed.
Room was top floor.
Only a wall for view out of window, with all rubbish in front.
- Shumbaimwe (1/5): Bad - Nothing The rooms were dirty, never cleaned, dusty everywhere, the bed sheets had blood on it which means they didn't change the sheets.
- Vanessa (1/5): Really filthy bathroom 🤢 - Location was good but absolutely not worth paying to stay in this awful place It was filthy. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. The toilet seat was broken and filthy. Cracked tiles. Mould. Hairs on the Bath. Broken and rusty bits of metal in the bath where it must have once been a jacuzzi bath. Head board broken on one bed. Dust and stains on the floor. It was a basement room which was dark and musty. The sheets were clean and beds comfy otherwise I would have left straight away. Asked to change rooms but the only other option had a shared bathroom and I was terrified of how disgusting a shared bathroom would be. Used the bathroom as little as possible. Didn’t use the shower it felt so grubby. Such a shame as it could be a grand building but was a horrific state
- Gary (5/5): Passable -
- Hakobyan (4/5): The facilities were bad. the location perfect. - the stuff and the location cleanness and facilities
- Ahmed (10/5): Exceptional -
- M (8/5): Very good -
- Karla (7/5): Good -
- Gurmeet (8/5): Very good - Value for money, cooperative staff, cheaper for family stay Sound Disturbance from neighbouring rooms very loud speaking sounds in midnight, disturb our sleep.
- Mohammad (7/5): Good -
- Networktelexonline (1/5): Awful, Never again - Very close to Hyde Park Appalling, how does such an expensive building in a fabulous location, be run like that.
- Shyamal (5/5): Passable - Free biscuits Water leaking in the room, kitchen was dirty, not enough appliances
- Werberich (8/5): Close to museums and parks. - It's nice ,clean . Close to museums and park For us was a good experience, noting that could influence our trip
- Michaela (5/5): Cheap and good location - Location is perfect - that’s all. If you want a cheap place the best in the location then that’s all you will get. You can hear everything from the room. The places it’s like a run down bedsit. The room is so small and no remote for the tv. Nothing like the photos at all.
- James (1/5): Great location but hotel in urgent need of refurbishment - not ready for guests yet. - The location is perfect. Staff were friendly enough. Hotel and room was filthy. Tap water not drinkable and wardrobe doors broken.
No heating in the room so had to have portable heaters. Staff were responsive to this request.
- Yosof (1/5): Bad -
- Saranya (1/5): Bad - I didnt liked the property at all. I booked a room with 3 beds. But got a small box room with 2 beds with no space to stand and or sit. The bedsheet were unclean. No duvet. Got very small thin blanket. No shower gel provided. Heater was broken. We slept in a frozen room. Most worst room i ever seen in my life.
- Sophie (4/5): Disappointing -
- Lopchan (3/5): Poor -
- Somya (2/5): I would not be staying here again. - The staff were helpful. The quality of the hotel is very poor. It was too warm through the night. The shared bathroom required regular attention and could do with a really good clean.
- Muhammad (6/5): Pleasant - Location, Facility
Attached toilet.
Kitchen to use along with complimentary snack bar, coffee/tea and water.
The cleaning staff was helpful and good.
Checkin available till late, extension on checkout time and located in center. Service, Reception
More of rooms in an apartment complex than hotel.
Says 24-hour checkin but no receptionist available till after 11am so have to wait or plan accordingly, also just gave key over the phone and didn't tell the available complimentary snack bar and water, found out later.
Not the room advertised, got the basement room, was decent and clean but would've preferred ground floor or 1st.
- Mohammed (1/5): But - I don’t like No good
- Narelle (1/5): Avoid at all cost! You’ll end up getting sick it’s a health hazard! - If I could give 0 stars I would this was the most horrific place I ever been too! Please avoid at all cost! It’s false advertisement it’s nothing like the pictures! Please be aware. It was disguisting everything it wasn’t cleaned it’s horrific it was so dirty nothing like the pictures tv not working no kettle no cups no tea no nothing shower was horrendous half of the ceiling was coming down the room that we were staying it was really really bad please avoid it all cost it’s not worth your money and they do not want to refund you back!! I wouldn’t recommend no one £90 straight in the bin
- Tamzin (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU HATE YOURSELF - Almost impossible to contact a single staff member that works there! No reception when you come in, have to ring a dodgy number to find where your room key is. Bathroom was covered in mould and dust. The air vents also covered in dust! The room didn't even have a real window!! A fake window frame was glued onto a brick wall!!!! Have requested a refund for the past 3 weeks which they agreed to giving me and have heard nothing since!! I booked for two nights and left after an hour of trying to call them back to notify them i'm leaving. DO NOT STAY HERE! unless you're willing to become ill from the lack of air ventilation and hazardous mould circulating the room.
- Murphy (1/5): Please do not stay here! - The only positive aspect of this hotel was the location Due to our original accomodation falling through mere hours before we arrived in London and a lack of support from booking.com customer service to find a suitable alternative, we were forced to book a stay at the streathem hotel, as it was the only accommodation within our budget. Before we even got to streathem hotel, we were all very stressed and upset including my 10 year old niece who we had booked this trip for as a birthday present. Upon arrival at the Streathem Hotel we weren't greeted by a person or reception desk, we were left a key in a box. Unfortunately the worst was yet to come. I've attached pictures below of what can only be described as an unsanitary nightmare. I have more pictures but was only able to upload 4. We found the following:
Badly damaged door with a non functional lock - any safety concerns?
Actual dirt on the ground
Curtains that were held up by a hanger
Filthy wardrobes that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years
3 beds that very clearly hadn't been changed
Blood on one of the bed covers
Footprints on one of the bed sheets
Dirt and handmarks on the wall
White stains on the curtains
Bedside lockers with filthy drawers
Taps so loose in the bathroom they almost fell off
Mould and hair in the shower
Foul smelling fridge
I've never in my life experienced anything like this. It was like something from a horror film. Bearing in mind we already had a very nervous and upset child with us, this tipped everyone over the edge. It was simply not safe or sanitary to stay here. And even worse we had nobody on site to talk to about these matters?? At 11pm on Friday evening we had to frantically call hotels and beg them to find 2 rooms for us. Thankfully the Crowne Plaza offered exceptional service and helped us locate clean and safe accomodation. However this didn't come for free we had to fork out another £1400!! We actually had to borrow money from our family to do this.
- Bannister (1/5): Bad -
- Jones (1/5): It was gross - Nothing Everything
- Sewell (1/5): This hotel is not as shown and is very unwelcoming. - The only good thing about this hotel was the location; even though it is not well to identify on maps or in person. The hotel is nothing like what it shows in the pictures and is such a tight room with separate toilets not even on the same floor! I had walked into the hotel to only be greeted by a piece of paper with a phone number saying ring for reception. Following on, 5 minutes later a man came down and handed my a key, told me my room number and that was that. Was not made to feel welcome and was nothing like it shows, reasoning for why I had immediately left and booked another hotel!
- Clara (1/5): Horrendous do not book. - Nothing. The hotel was not as advertised. It was more like a hostel than a hotel. We had booked a deluxe double room and were shoved it a small room in the basement of the hotel. It was a tiny room with 2 double beds. One of the beds had a broken head board, the mirror was hanging off the wall and there was mold in the bathroom on the ceiling. There was also someone else’s toiletries left in the shower and the tiles were cracked and chipped. We moved hotel as we did not feel safe. There was a smell of cannabis in the hall way and also a smell of sewage.
- Qingwen (7/5): Good -
- Mayra (1/5): Bad -
- Alix (4/5): Really uncomfortable, not clean and a certain member of staff violated my personal space BIG TIME. - Hotel itself wasn't easily identifiable, nor easy to locate. No member of staff on reception on arrival. The plug hole in the shower was blocked and began to overflow when in use. There were dead insects on the floor in the ensure and one less bed than we requested!
- Vince (5/5): Good for my purpose - Convenient for Royal Albert Hall. Pleasant Staff. Room felt run down. Needed redecoration.
- Mikaela (1/5): Dirty and smelly, not as expected by pictures - Good location and price. The room was not at all the same as shown in pictures. No kitchen area as promised for one ex. So dirty and it smelled so badly. Reception was unattended most of the day, once you called the phonenumber on the door, no one answered. No instructions how to get the key when arriving, and nothing regarding check out later so really stressful when we had to leave for airport and we could not reach reception. due to it was so dirty and not at all as expected we do not recomend this hotel.
- Adeyoju (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (6/5): Quiet, comfortable, private, basic - It was a bog standard room for a one night stay acceptable and never bothered at all so comfortable. It just wasn't the cleanest, know cups in room but available, even if 1 t=bag sugar , coffee and milk and a tv. But people's own can be used. Spot on for circumstances. +
- Bernadette (2/5): Very poor - Accessibility to public transport. Thry have free snacks in the common kitchen Tele was not working, poor wifi connection. Cleanliness needs improvement. Description in the booking.com is different from the actual room.
- Jessica (4/5): The price was good for the location but false advertisement - The location was amazing and the price was very reasonable It was nothing like the photos I booked there was no kitchen or TV we were in a basement room with a bathroom and it wasn't the cleanest the bathroom door didn't even shut we booked a superior double
- Danny (1/5): Shit - Nothing Everything not dirtiest place I have ever seen. Wouldn’t let a rat sleep there. Went to the first room we was offered full of drugs dirt unmade dirty beds. Seconds room mouldy dirty no windows. Third room offers absolutely horrendous.
- Mark (1/5): Location was ok got to do what we wanted to do - Location This property was one of the worst I’ve stayed in a long time dirty sheets pillows no towel not clean very poor for the price I payed will not use this property again
- Sirveang (6/5): Pleasant -
- Gendjay (1/5): Bad -
- Harvey (5/5): Cheap but don’t expect anything dazzling 👍 - Location No bathroom, gave me different room to what I ordered. Walls were thin, could hear everybody’s room
- Richard (1/5): Bad - Location was excellent local area first class.very close to where I wanted to be. The hotel was unmarked just a number.was given a key after a phone call room could do with a good clean toilet was unacceptable very dirty if you cleaned it up a bit you could have kept pigs in it .I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
- Alison (1/5): Bad -
- Therese (1/5): Very dirty. Furniture all broken - Everything
- Charlie (2/5): Filthy - A working kitchen with a few snacks and drinks The hotel was dirty holes in walls cracks everywhere floor was dusty 1 room had a bathroom with a shower and toilet the other room had nothing the rooms were cramped no space and we saw a few small bugs around the rooms as well
- James (1/5): Bad - No TV
No WiFi
- Charis (4/5): Wouldn't recommend... - The location is great, I also liked the huge windows with original shutters. There was lots of bottled water available. Staff answered the phone straight away when I called, as I couldn't find the hotel. Bed sheets seemed clean and bed was comfy enough. Toilet hadn't been cleaned and there was evidence of the previous guest, if you catch my meaning, which was really off-putting. No kettle or cups for tea and coffee. Upper walls had lots of cobwebs and they also seemed to have run out of paint half way through the job. Walls were also so thin we could hear someone else snoring during the night.
- Getnesh (1/5): Stay away unless you like dirty places - Nothing except the location It was dirty, no air con, no elevator plus the hotel had three different names. it is because the owner was fined by council for putting people lives in danger for mold and fire hazard
- Amna (1/5): It was disappointing and disgusting. - Nothing. When we arrived to the hotel, we were taken aback by the state of the place. The building looked rundown and the rooms were disgusting. There was cobwebs everywhere and a foul smell was emitting from the rooms. The rooms did not look like how they were shown on booking.com. We told them we didn’t want to stay here at all and asked for a refund for our rooms.
- Huzayfa (5/5): Passable -
