Wenn ich es eine Kleinigkeit gäbe -und das ist jammern auf ganz hohem Niveau - wäre es ein Schokoaufstrich zu den tollen Croissants und eine 'richtige' Verdunklungsmöglichkeit im Zimmer.

• Peter (10/5): Perfekt von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise alles super - Das Frühstück war sehr delikat und reichhaltig, frische Speisen und leckere Getränke und perfekter Service. Die Lage war ruhig und vor allem am Abend fühlte man sich auch außerhalb der Unterkunft zu jeder Zeit sicher. Gute Restaurants waren fußläufig erreichbar und ebenfalls sehr gut. Der Besitzer stand mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und war auch bei Buchungen für Ausflüge behilflich. Er hatte jede Menge Tips parat. Rundherum ein "sorglos Paket". Jederzeit wieder und absolut zu empfehlen.

• Ingrid (10/5): Wie Urlaub bei Freunden ☺️! - Entzückende Viktorianische Villa mit Pool und Garten in bester Lage! Der Gastgeber Henry betreut seine Gäste jeden Tag unglaublich herzlich und aufmerksam und gibt einem das Gefühl, dass man hier Urlaub bei Freunden macht. Nach ein paar Tagen fühlt man sich bereits wie zuhause:-) Die Reservierungen für Restaurants waren ausgezeichnet, alle anderen Tips und Empfehlungen ebenso. Hervorzuheben ist das liebevoll servierte Frühstück mit hochwertigen Produkten vom Gastgeber mit Sorgfalt ausgesucht ! Wenn man es etwas persönlicher mag und den Charme einer alten Villa schätzt ist man bei Henry und seinen netten Mitarbeitern bestens aufgehoben.

• Arthur (10/5): Excellent choice for our short stay in Cape Town whilst attending a family wedding. - The hosts were very welcoming and helped with enquiries about activities. Also helped to retrieve some binoculars left in the taxi after a trip around the Cape Peninsula. We loved the front courtyard and the pool area, although didn’t have enough time to use the pool. The two bedrooms, with en suite facilities, were very comfortable. No dislikes. Neighbourhood and property felt safe and secure.

Ruhige Wohngegend, freundlicher Empfang, ein Schmuckstück von einer Villa mit Pool und nettem Innenhof mit riesigen Zitronenbäumen. Die Zimmer sind sauber und liebevoll gestaltet, Blümchen auf dem Nachttisch etc. Dusche ausgezeichnet. Eine kleine Selfservice Station mit Getränken und Snacks , hier kann man noch ein Bierchen oder Wein kaufen und vor dem Kamin den Abend ausklingen lassen. Gutes Frühstück mit allem was das Herz begehrt. Ein angenehmer Plausch mit dem sympathischen Gastgeber Henry, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Wir waren leider nur eine Nacht da

• Ursula (10/5): - We were amazed at the beautiful situation of the guest house so close to Lion's Head, with great cafés and restaurants within walking distance, yet absolutely quiet and safe high above the bustle of town. We loved everything about the beautifully restored house, our spacious rooms and bathrooms, the lounge and the breakfast room with the fantastic breakfast buffet. The pool in the palm-studded garden looked inviting, too, but it was a little cold still in August. Next time! A big thanks to Henry & his team for the warm welcome and for providing such a marvellous haven in the city bowl of Cape Town.

The place is lovely, the breakfasts delicious and tailor-made to your taste, and the hosts, Henry and Andrea, friendly, entertaining, attentive, and ridiculously generous on your every request - to the point of going shopping for hardware for you and arranging transport around town. In the winter time when we were here in August, it was a little chilly in the room and the bathroom did not have a heater, which is apparently a South Africa thing so little bit cold but OK.

From all the neighbourhoods in Capetown, we liked this one the most as it is relatively quite and it has quite some great restaurants on walking distance from the villa. The Lion's head hill climb is also very close! Nothing, this place is a 10!

It's an intimate, very clean, beautiful establishment with lots of fruit trees and plants where local birds can visit and guests get to enjoy. The host was gracious, friendly, and personable, offering lots of information about the area and things to do. The daily breakfast spread is superb. It was plenty for me, offering fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, specialty coffees, and much more. In addition, a hot breakfast is offered as well. I appreciate the hospitality and will definitely stay again when visiting Capetown.

It was all perfect The room itself was a disappointment: no airco. no television, no cupboard, blinds that could not be closed, no curtains, only a net curtain that came half off the rails. Towel rack in the room but two small for the towels. Energy lamp that should work during load shedding did not work.
• Eva (9/5): A perfect and friendly get away in a nice neighborhood - Its a beautiful and truly Mediterranean get away in a nice calm neighborhood and very friendly persons (German speaking). The breakfast was extraordinary good and healthy, very good coffee, too. We would definitely recommend to stay here - also to be able to see sweet little dog Charly! It might be more expensive than others, but with the breakfast included we liked the value getting for our money.
