Guest Reviews
- Anthony (8/5): -
- Lauren (10/5): - Clean, comfortable, modern
- Jaymee (8/5): Will be back - The best shower ive ever had, every room had a big screen tv and heating/aircon. Location is perfect 1minute walk to Westfield with every retail/food shops you could want Not very soundproof could hear the people in the other units
- Jo (5/5): It was private friendly people in the front house - Private The pillows were damp it was raining but a lot of condensation in the shipping container out the back
- Kalia (4/5): For the price facilities and cleaning was not up to the mark. - Location I found Hair on my bed, cleaning was not good and no salt and pepper provided.
- Annalise (8/5): Beautiful. Only let down is the parking. Will stay again but travel with our smaller car. - Beautifully clean and tidy. Very modern and comfortable amenities, probably one of the nicest places I’ve stayed at in the area. The beds were so comfortable and the temperature stayed consistent even with poor weather outside. The parking is a bit of a mess. There are spots available but the driveway and parking is awkward. Ended up parking out on the road on the second night because the car was too big to comfortably navigate the parking and we struggled to get out when another person parked next to us.
- christine (8/5): Very convenient - Very clean, a lovely little place The pillows were very hard
- Robyn (9/5): Very nice and good setup. - Very clean and modern. Was in the back unit, a shipping container that had been outfitted as a tiny house. Very comfortable and quiet. Nicely set out and presented beautifully. It was hard to park and as I arrived after dark it was difficult to find the unit at the back of the house.
- Tracey (8/5): -
- Pieter Oosterhoff (9/5): - Spacious and clean Parking,
- Roedan (3/5): -
- Cindy (10/5): -
- Ravat (8/5): All up loved my stay would definitely stay again so close to shops - The location was great At first was disapointed it was a tiny house would have been good to know before hand, would be nice to have a covered patio table and chair to sit at,the freezer needed defrosting a cutting board would be nice, shame there wasnt an oven,
- Tony (10/5): -
- Mosab (10/5): - Everything It’s a bit far
- Ellie (8/5): Great stay, probably more suited to one person than a couple. - 1.The bed was super comfortable.
2. The shower was a great size and the water pressure was fantastic.
3. The laundry was a great bonus.
4. The very large towels
5. TV in lounge AND bedroom
6. Airconditioning and fans
7. Lots of pots, pans and storage containers
8. Large great functioning fridge 1. Plumbing, you could here the shower running in the unit next door, very loud
2. Floor was dirty, my feet were black
3. Top of fridge had a very thick layer of dust. ( I’m tall so could see it.
4. Not enough towel hanging space, towel racks too small for the luxurious towels provided.
5. Nowhere to hang wet togs etc, a drying rack provided in the laundry would have been great.
6. No cups initially but staff soon provided cups.
7. No bin liners or dishcloths, Lily provided bin liners when asked🙂
8. Kitchen very compact
9. Limited power points
- Alix (7/5): It did its job, needed some improvements. - I stayed in a tiny home set up out the back, which was done up quite well and was very cosy and comfortable. Easy to find and very close to the Kotara shopping centre. Quiet location. The cutlery had food bits and finger prints still on them, the toilet lid didn’t want to stay up, there was hair in the bed that wasn’t mine (black hair when I’m a red head) and the shower didn’t drain. The freezer was open and unable to be closed to due too much ice built up within it. Upon arrival, there was no toilet paper. I have asked for an invoice and they have not sent one yet. This was a trip for business so I need the invoice.
- Glen (4/5): Won’t book again, uncomfortable 4 nights, glad to leave - At face value it looked neat, finishes were modern and nicely presented. Floors were grimy, no bedside table or lamp. Nowhere to sit. 200ml milk for 4 days. Accommodation is a converted container with limited light and not suitable for 2 people. Staff member on the phone was borderline rude on day of arrival. Shower didn’t drain properly. Wouldn’t book again, definitely not more than 1 person and not more than a 1 night stop over.
- SHAUN (8/5): Excellent value and location - Location and price Big party from other guests
- David (9/5): -
- Timothy (10/5): - Close to where I needed to be Felt the cabin was on a bit of a slope
- Angela (8/5): -
- Bishnu (1/5): How on earth it is legal to keep caravn as rental room??? - Nothing literally it was a caravan, we were shocked Nothing to like about it.
- Trudy (10/5): -
- Sandra (8/5): -
- Pik (8/5): -
- Arati (7/5): - Clean Pillows were hard
- Rebecca (10/5): - Beautifully set out very clean. Has everything you could possibly need whilst away from home! In a nice location not to far from everything. My only complaint are the pillows. Very uncomfortable.
- Kauri (6/5): Very enjoyable stay would book again - Location very central to what we needed The fact there was an oven advertised in the description. We had food with us to cook and were shocked when we found it was a microwave.
Disappointing.
Parking was tight.
Beds too soft & pillows too hard.
- Jaimee (8/5): Great stay. Check-in and separation between the multiple rooms could be better. - Self check in by a door code provided by the host
Clean and recently renovated space, modern kitchenette and bathroom.
Best shower I’ve ever had - amazing water pressure.
Off street parking. The door access code didn’t come through properly on the welcome sms. I had to chase this up several times (sms, email, then eventually phone call) to get the details in a timely manner.
The place is a house which has been separated into 3 separate self-contained spaces rended either separately or all together. Interconnected doors were left open when we checked in which was confusing, and would have allowed others access to our space. Luckily we closed the door before the other guests arrived.
The smart Tv was impossible/difficult to use as we were fighting guests in the other rooms whenever either party used the remote control for the TV and this happened several times (the remote controls appeared to operate via wifi/bluetooth rather than infrared line of sight, so the other guests’ remote control actions showed up on the TV in our room and vice versa).
Per other reviews, noise carries extremely well in the house. Can hear other guests normal conversation level noise clearly through the walls.
- Phyllis (10/5): - The lights outside were annoying while trying to sleep.
We could've done with a warmer quilt
- jeff (10/5): -
- Junaid Joe (10/5): - Clean, great location,
- Jessica (7/5): Pretty good for location but may stay somewhere else if we went again - Close to everything and easily walk to the Kotara shopping centre. Location and size was great. Would have been better with queen beds and cleaner things. I.e shower Matt was dirty, plates and cups were wet in cupboard and two small coach roaches in kitchen
- Wes (9/5): - Quiet The tiny house should have a slidding door and a deck
- Namgay (10/5): It was awsome, except the parking for unit 3 is not ok - All Parking
- michael (8/5): Good clean and private - Clean and good toiletries.. kitchen utensils No bedside table
- Sandra (7/5): -
- Kara (7/5): - Easy check in information
Great bathroom and kitchen Parking was confusing
No sheets provided for the pull out couch and we checked in late that evening so couldn't contact anyone to assist.
Not sure how clean the floors and sheets were in general.
- Dominic (9/5): Perfect place for a pit stop - Very modern and close to shopping centre which suited us The units are quite close together, so you can hear conversations from neighbouring units. As we were only there for one night it wasn’t really an issue, but it could be noticeable on a longer stay.
- Rana (1/5): - Full of ants, tiny place, can't get any sleep cause you can hear everything.
- Jo (10/5): -
- Hayley (6/5): Apart from the poor cleanliness and lack of beds being made up, it was an enjoyable stay. - The place was comfortable and a good location. I requested for a sofa bed to be made up. I reminded them Thursday morning when we confirmed checkin time and to receive the door code.
I was meant to receive the code at 3pm, but still hadn't received it and had to chase it up.
We arrived around 8.30pm Thursday night, to discover the sofa bed had not been made up and no bedding available. A packet of open chips in one wardrobe and a dirty towel and pillow in another.
It took several phone calls before the bed was made up Saturday afternoon, leaving us one bed short for half our stay and the number staying.
Considering the number of phone calls about this, it is totally unacceptable.
- Julius (10/5): - Clean and near to the mall Parking is too tight
- Regina (4/5): - Location Hard bed!
, Too small!
- Roshan (9/5): - Apartment was neat and tidy, good facilities. Would definately visit again.
- James (7/5): -
- Schellie (6/5): Happy - Location was great, good size for overnight. Clean and tidy will stay again for sure - love how many fans and aircons there was The tvs are all same brand. Therefore all controllers work for every tv. Had tv channel wars with the neighbour, they were trying to watch one channel and we was trying to watch another. Couldn’t watch anything in another room as will be competing with the others.
- Kathy (6/5): A nice clean and convenient place to stay but seriously considering not staying again which is a shame as our first stay - It’s lovely and clean and everything provided. Great position for us. It was windy at night and all the windows rattled and the outside sensor lights came on and off all night. The windows are very old and need replacing. Also for some reason I had four phone calls to ask me what time we were checking in and four texts advising me the code etc. I don’t know what was going on but it was very annoying.
- Lauren (10/5): -
- Taylor (9/5): Lovely stay, very clean and great shower!!!! - We loved how clean the house was and how lovely it smelt when we opened the door.
Some beautiful cats greeted us as well which was lovely. 🐈⬛ The only thing we didn't like was the driveway, felt quite scary driving into it. Driving out was a breeze though.
- Aurelie (9/5): Very clean accomodation - Very clean and recently refurbished . Not enough chairs and cutlery for 5
- Heather (9/5): -
- Litchfield (9/5): Very peaceful, and nice atmosphere - Everything was great, except the tight offstreet parking, somebody parked in my allocated spot and it was a challange to park, not having much room to manoeuvre, with other cars already parked
- Debbie (9/5): -
- Tracey (8/5): Lovely stay in great location - Beautiful apartment, very clean, lovely amenities, great location. The shower was beyond amazing! Lovely big fluffy towels, very comfortable stay. A problem only particular to very tall people, toilet placement meant not much leg room.
Car park is a little bit interesting to get into and out of.
- Ken (8/5): - Very homely Kids in connecting room very noisy
- Porter (9/5): Location great for medical appointments and very close to Kotara shopping Centre. -
- Lionel (9/5): -
- Krystle (8/5): -
- Leanne (4/5): No sleep - Lovely inside Parking, noise-you could hear every conversation outside and in other units.
Lights from outside shine straight into rooms.
- Sam (5/5): If they fixed the windows a great little afordable spot right next to the westfeild - Newly renovated with good features around the house, Good showers, good tvs in all the bedrooms ect. Parking was easy and pretty central. Aircons in nearly all the rooms The old windows have been left out of the renovation and they rattle in the wind and kept us up at night. I had to get pieces of paper and fold them up to try and take some of the rattle out.
- Natasha (10/5): Fantastic value - Modern, clean, spacious, comfy bed and fold out couch Can easily hear other people in the house
- Lionel (9/5): -
- Alexandra (9/5): - A great place to stay for a weekend away. Close to shops and other amenities!
It was really handy being given the door code in advance so that if I arrived later than expected, there was no issues in checking in!
Great having a kitchen, even if I didn't end up using it - love having the option for meals either way.
Plenty of on-site / street parking and a really quiet neighborhood!
Would definitely come back again Nothing
- Mason (10/5): -
- Zhehao (10/5): -
- Kathy (8/5): We would stay there again. - very clean and comfortable We could hear the people in the next apartment.
- Tricia (6/5): - Location was good near shops Only 1 chair for 2 people and very little space - no room for bedside table. Not much space for luggage - except on the damp floor.
Everything was damp - lots if condensation running down walls and dripping off windows and the floor was cold and damp.
The path down to the tiny room was steep and narrow and this made it hard to move luggage.
Used the filter asking for parking so assumed there was off street parking but all parks were taken so we had to find a park on the busy one way street and carry luggage further than we would like to.
- Michelle (10/5): - Very nice
- Frank (6/5): -
- Kylie (10/5): It was so beautiful. As a country girl I loved the water pressure and the massive shower head!!! - Walking distance to shopping centre. Beautiful and spacious Not a major issue but the bathroom door did not lock.
- Latana (8/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): Great accommodation very comfortable - As I was in hospital longer than expected I needed a comfortable place for my husband to stay & we asked for an earlier check in so he wouldn’t have to wait at the hospital & the host kindly allowed him early access. All was good except for noisy neighbour
- Wendy (9/5): -
- Katrina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alacia (10/5): I would and have recommended to everyone I know that travels that way I would stay again - Everything Nothing
- Daniel (10/5): - Over all very good thank you
- Sarah (8/5): Great location with a touch of luxury.... - Beautiful, clean and love all the motel goodie supplies 😁 Love the towels and the shower was awesome! Didn't use much of the stuff like the TV and appliances but all looked clean and well maintained, very impressed overall from the room to the timely way my call was handled.
The service was so punctual when I rang with a problem, the guy that came was so great! Give him a pay rise! The rooms are close together and thin walls so could hear both side neighbours were noisy😩
- Stacie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shae (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vani (10/5): Day tripper/ 1 night over in Newcastle - We all enjoyed our stay at the lodge.Location was 7 minute drive to the sports stadium. The 3 rooms with double beds, including 2 sofa beds, linen provided, towels, kitchen utensils, 2 bathrooms - shower pressure! Tea, coffee, sugar sachets, Clean and new, neatly presented. Close to shops. The TVs in each room, WiFi, aircon, it fit well our Fijiian family There were 2 small containers of milk, but we went and got more because Westfield mall is a walk down the road. Nothing that can be fixed.
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Laura (8/5): Very good -
- Naomi (8/5): Super handy - The aircon, the internet was great, handy location, parking Neighbours were a bit noisy & thin walls but it was relatively harmless
- Donna (7/5): Good - Presented well, great value for money, plenty of soaps etc for each person. No bin in kitchen, toilet seat loose and shower screen didn't roll properly.
- Tyler (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mcbride (9/5): Great easy entry and departure! Very comfortable - Clean comfortable and great location! Would recommend to anyone needing accommodation, close to all amenities! Had difficulty with internet, other people were dropping in and changing the channel!
- Jane (9/5): Superb - Perfect location for our visitors.
Close to shops, restaurants and transport.
- Cristi (7/5): Good - Didn’t get the property we booked. They moved our group 2 hours before checkin time. Be careful booking Newcastle Executive Apartments. They manage lots of different properties all over the area, and just move you to wherever they want. Did it to friends of ours too on the same weekend. Totally different suburb.
- Stevie-lea (10/5): it was a good apartment for late hospital appointments and especially when I live 5Hrs away I would go back anyday.nice - cosy
- Katrina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional - Nice rooms, new and modern.very comfortable We had trouble finding it as the street was dark
- Mitchell (8/5): Very good -
- Violet (7/5): GOOD, minor issues but overall good very happy with our family staying here would come back again. - Good we were given a code via email as they couldn't text to a NZ mobile number. Literally minutes away from the mall very handy - great location. Wooden floors probably needed a good clean as found a few loose hair strands in the bedroom and bathroom and crumbs near the kitchen table/area. WIFI stopped working all weekend, the support Centre office was closed when we rung number provided to lodge a fault - only open Mon-Fri. We then rung the property manager good service, they lodged the fault but WIFI still didn't work for the duration of our stay had to use our own data so kids could Hotspot. Pillows were hard maybe invest in some medium-soft ones. Be nice to also include some salt/pepper/cooking oil for those traveling from overseas and staying for less than 2-3days saves your customer from buying them and not using it again. It's the little things that sometimes that help.
- John (1/5): Bad -
- Mcbride (7/5): Good -
- Jennifer (9/5): A comfortable, quiet, & convenient location. I recommend it to others. - I appreciated the location to John Hunter hospital.
I liked the modern finishes, the security door lock, the bathroom was exceptional (great shower & hot water).
It was very nice to find toileteries waiting for me, as well as a galley-style functional kitchen with all appliances necessary. Bed was comfortable, plenty of blankets as well as Reverse Split AC.
Booking was easy online.
I received a phone call from property managers the day before arrival, and a text with further instructions (including door codes) approx 30 mins prior to my designated check-in time. Check out was super easy by scanning a QR code on the back of the door and sending a text. There was no bedside tables or lamps in bedroom.
Unit 3 is up narrow steep stairs.
Parking off-street is limited - but on-street parking was right out the front anyway.
There was only one teaspoon... not an issue for me, but may be for future guests.
- Amanda (5/5): Interesting - Great location. Very comfortable beds. Very clean When we got there the code to get into the unit didn’t work I had to ring reception & it took 3 different codes to get in.
On the first night the hot water didn’t work. I rang reception & they said they couldn’t get anyone to fix it till the morning,My father had to have a medical procedure early the following morning & he had to have a shower before so he had to have a sponge bath. I contacted the compliant department & no one has contacted me,
