Guest Reviews
- Eden (8/5): Can't go wrong - Julie! She was an amazing hostess. My room was lovely, and the time sitting in the common room in the evening reading was a perk (and yes, I had a nice couch in my room as well). Lovely breakfast. The road is busy, and parking is not easy there (then again, it's just the way with Morpeth). The curtains could have blocked out a bit more of the street light. And (this is an issue with a lot of places) there were too many perfumes used (atomisers and scented detergents on the bedding and towels); they irritated my sinuses and head until I was able to vent the room enough.
- Springthorpe (9/5): Very comfortable B&B with a fantastic hostess. - Julie was a fantastic hostess from the second we arrived, throughout the breakfasts we experienced and just generally making our stay as comfortable as possible with things like parking and pointing us in the direction of local amenities. I would definitely stay again if I was in the area.
- Dan (10/5): Charming Accommodation, centrally located, great host. - There was a great selection of cereals, fresh berries, and traditional cooked English breakfasts. It was everything I could have wanted and good coffee prepared in a cafetiere. As for the location, Morpeth is a pretty small town. It was close to where I was visiting our customer, and some beautiful trails circled the town for a nice evening run. The only thing that I could say to improve would be to have some additional blackout curtains over the windows, since in my room in the summer, the sun rises very early, and as I'm a light sleeper, I'd have benefited from a darker room in that particular scenario. That said, it wasn't terrible, and there was a beautiful view from the window of the river. Would definitely recommend.
- Mariann (10/5): I thoroughly enjoyed it. - The location was ideal for me as my friends live very close and also it was not far to the bus station. Like Morpeth very much.
The breakfasts were delicious and the hostess friendly and very helpful. The cold weather!!

I had a really good sleep (which isn't always the case when I'm not in my own bed) and really enjoyed the breakfast - the ingredients were high quality and there were 'free from' options available. The location was also beautiful, looking out from the back over the water. It's a short walk into the heart of Morpeth, really handy.

Situated in the heart of Morpeth and within walking distance of the shops and facilities. The park and river were the view from our window and was really beautiful. It is well located for all the places we wanted to visit in Northumberland and to visit family in Newcastle.
Julie our host was absolutely exceptional with hospitality, local information and the BEST breakfast each morning. She realy makes sure her guests are looked after and has lots of maps, info and local knowledge to make sure our visit was really special. We would not hesitate to visit again. Had a choice of rooms on arrival, rooms lovely, clean and warm, well stocked tea, coffee and biscuits and these were restocked daily as well as clean towels.
Parked outside the property over the weekend with a parking permit provided by the B&B, close enough to walk into Morpeth town and the shopping centre.

- Neal (9/5): An excellent stay, excellent welcoming host and a brilliant breakfast that set me up for the day! - Julie was the perfect host! Although I arrived late and tired, she helped me find a parking space and was very welcoming. Julie also suggested some places to go to for dinner and also asked what I would like for breakfast, which was excellent, with quality ingredients. Shame I arrived late and in the dark as I was looking forward to a walk down to the river to see the Stepping Stones! Maybe next time! Would highly recommend.

- Catherine (9/5): A wonderful stopover en route south - What a gem! Super comfortable bedroom and best cooked breakfast i've had in ages. Julie let me check in early so I could take a Teams meeting with a customer in my room - excellent wifi connection. I was grateful to get parking right outside on the street using the visitor parking permit Julie gave me. Plenty of restaurant options close by and nice walks around the river. We got a proper dumping of snow overnight so had to clear my car of the worst of it before I could leave, but can hardly blame the venue for that!!

Breakfast is first class, plenty of choice nicely presented and cooked to perfection. The property is just a five minute walk from the town centre where there is a good selection of cafes, eateries, shops & bars. There are plenty of walks along the river, as well as in and around Carlisle Park. The coast is only a short drive away for those seeking some sea air, plus there are several NT and similar properties close by to visit. I can't think of anything I didn't like and I would like to return to this accommodation and the town itself sometime in the future.
