Guest Reviews
- MOEMA (8/5): -
- Ran (10/5): Great accommodation and lovely staff - I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were friendly, accommodating and always happy to help. Breakfast was a great selection and delicious, I especially enjoyed the coffee. The environment was pretty and the room was spacious and comfortable. 10/10 experience overall No complaints at all
- Abigale (8/5): - The place and food The showed brkngs kut water very slow
- Duncan (5/5): Basic accomdation for the price. - Garden is nice Hotel is not well kept. Bar and restaurant are closed. There are no services, no milk for cereal, no pool towels. WiFi in room worked 40% of time, shower mixer could barely get a constant temperature, lots of nice bright white lighting etc.
We checked out after one night and paid a penalty.
- Leslie (8/5): - Secluded and far from the noise Nothing
- Lebogang (4/5): - Nothing Everyhting. They dont clean. the breakfast was boring and very limited
- ewa (10/5): Cudowne, spokojne miejsce - Spokój, ogród, śniadania. Cudowny pobyt. Bardzo mili ludzie, którzy we wszystkim pomagają. Ogród przepiękny. Transport na miejscu. Najlepsze miejsce w Victoria Falls
- Cynthia (8/5): - The staff and host were exceptional. I had a challenge as my boy fell sick and they offered as much help as they could. I was also allowed a late checkout with no extra charge.
- Hayata (10/5): -
- Anna (10/5): Fantastic - Very beautiful calm place with nice restaurant close by. Super friendly staff.
- Musaemura (10/5): -
- Nyasha (7/5): -
- Esme Blair (6/5): Pleasant and very usable for a short stay. - Room wasn't serviced late afternoon. Pillows were hard. No ice for drinks. Guest children making a noise late at night
- masanga (10/5): jacaranda Lodge the place to be - the place is beautiful and clean the staff very friendly and professional nothing
- Pamela (10/5): - Beautiful place and outstanding hosting. The staff were super friendly and helpful. There is nothing I did not like about this place. I would highly recommend. Very close to town and Victoria falls which is what we wanted. Superb!
- Melissa (8/5): Really nice staff and location - The customer service was fantastic I cannot think of anything
- Stewart (10/5): -
- Dozwah (10/5): THINKING OF VISITING AGAIN - THE ROOMS WHERE EXCELLENT AND THE FOOD WITH THE FRIENDLY STAFF THAT WAS THERE. GOOD NETWORK CONNECTION. A LITTLE HEADS UP ABOUT HAVING DOGS WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE BUT OVERALLY THEY ARE WELL BEHAVED AND VERY FRIENDLY ESCPECIALLY S.....
- Bryn (9/5): -
- James (10/5): - Quite peaceful lovely staff
- Doug487 (6/5): Ok, but could have been better with proper management - The staff were quite nice and the property is in parts quite pretty however there are alot of expansion works ongoing. Breakfast is good and there is good machine coffee available. Rooms are decent. Shame that they had non-essential building works going on for most of the time we were at the property which meant we couldn't relax and enjoy the space. They had ample opportunity to warn us as we stayed there a few days prior. Although they stopped when we raised this as a major issue it shouldn't have got to that point. Also there seems to be an issue with the pool as its constantly cloudy and really irritated my skin which isn't normal. Overpriced considering these issues.
- Bryn (9/5): - Jacaranda was superb for our group of 11. Hospitable, warm and assisted with early check in. Amenities varied a little from room to room. New soaps would be nice.
- Sandra (9/5): -
- Juliana (6/5): The property requires both physical and procedural changes before I could recommend it - There are extensive building works being undertaken that we were not advised of. This meant that after many early mornings and long days when we were hoping to relax by the pool it was not possible. We should’ve been advised of the building works after booking, as had we known, we would not have stayed there. The works were loud and ongoing all day, until we raised it with the staff and they finally shut it down for one afternoon. The staff are friendly however it was up to us to request fresh water and housekeeping each day. I expect water and housekeeping to basic practices of all hotels so it was disappointing that we had to go out of our way request them each day.
- Vanessa (10/5): A comfortable stay with a pleasant staff. - Jane is so friendly and helpful as was all the staff we interacted with. . Our room was clean, spacious and had 2 balconies which we enjoyed. Something we really appreciated was that our room had mosquito netting and air conditioning that was very powerful so we slept comfortably and peacefully. The breakfast was well prepared. When we left early for Safari they kindly packed a to go breakfast for us. Water was available from the kitchen 24 hours a day, you grab the number of bottles you need. The room had a fridge so we could always have cold water. Important since there is not any ice that we were aware of. (This was throughout Zim, nut just here). Our bathroom was very spacious. They have a well stocked library and games but we didn’t have time to enjoy them due to our schedule. At night, you hear the drums from the nearby show. The Chinese guests received Chinese breakfast which looked delicious. We were not given the option to have that but were served the exact same English breakfast daily. We enjoy variety.

- Martin (8/5): - Very spacious room with large balcony overlooking the gardens and pool. Very nice staff. Peaceful, relaxing, close to a great restaurant and small supermarket. It is a little out of town, but a very short drive with an excellent restaurant only a short walk away.

- Lenie (6/5): - Big ups to the staff very friendly and helpful. Pool very welcome in the heat!!!
- Milca (9/5): Excellent service, lovely atmosphere, and a truly caring owner who made everything effortless for us - Breakfast was excellent with a great variety to choose from. Everything was fresh, tasty, and well-presented, and there was something to suit everyone’s preferences. It really set us up for the day.
The location was perfect, making it easy to get around and explore the area. It was close to key attractions, restaurants, and shops while still offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
Our stay was amazing, the staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, and Jan, the owner, is one of the loveliest people you’ll ever meet. She went above and beyond to accommodate my sister at short notice at a very reasonable price. Since our phones weren’t working, Jan kindly went out of her way to call taxis for us whenever we needed one, which made our experience even more special and stress-free. The only thing that could have been better for us was the size of the swimming pool, but the team assured us that they are already working on expanding it, which is great to hear. We also mentioned the gym, and they kindly showed us where the new gym will be located as construction has already begun. It’s nice to see that improvements are underway to make future stays even better.
- Margo (8/5): A very nice place to stay - View from our balcony was lovely, overlooking pool and garden. Loved the outdoor dining for breakfast. Room was very nice, air conditioned, plenty of wardrobe space. Massive mosquito net was fantastic, more like curtains around the bed so did not feel cramped. Pillows were good but bed had a very hard mattress. Did not sleep well.

- Marianna (7/5): - The staff. The kindest people in the universe, always smiling always happy to help! The shower was very annoying. On the first day of my arrival I had to shower with ice cold water, the second day too then by the second day in the evening after running the water for 5 min I finally had hot water. But it was impossible to regulate well, it’s either ice cold or very hot. Then on the last day when I left, I had burning hot water only🤷♀️

- UGA-2023 (6/5): - It's a nice compound. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is kind. It's too loud for 120 Dollars per night. The first night other guests kept me awake talking outside. It feels like they are sitting in your room. The second night the drum show in the boma close kept me from sleeping. And the third night the two dogs had an argument with a plastic bottle at 2 am and woke me up. Not ideal if you don't get enough sleep.

- Christine (9/5): Jacaranda Lodge was like a home away from home. - Staying at Jacaranda Lodge felt like staying with people you had met before. They were so welcoming and personal. The morning breakfast arrangement was very good, the simple things were there but a cooked breakfast was also offered including whatever you felt like having that morning. The breakfast room was a lovely social space where you would meet other guests. All of the gusset names were on a whiteboard so you could see who else was staying there. Their recommended Taxi Driver was also very good. Overall I felt very well looked after. They could not do enough for me. The shower arrangement was challenging for a person my age, so I had to take great care in the bathroom. Also the mirror in the bathroom was too high for me to use as I am not very tall. But these were all manageable because the lodge staff were so kind and attentive.
- Fraser (4/5): Very disappointing stay in what appears to be an R&R retreat for Chinese workers from local mines. - Photo on Booking.com Our room in the lodge was dated and the bathroom needed renovated with many cracked tiles and poor water flow in the shower.
Pool was 'off-season' but still full of murky water.
Bar closed, breakfast in a small dining room which doubled as an office and reception.

- Asanda (8/5): -
- martina (10/5): - total private,very cozy,kind staff
Agradecemos a acolhida!
- ngaire (9/5): -
- Jenny (8/5): Very peaceful - good location - friendly staff - No evening meal facilities - you must go out - walk up to social Cafe.
- Maposa (9/5): -
- Aijamal (10/5): - I had a truly lovely stay at this beautiful cute hotel! The breakfast was fresh and generous, with a great variety to start the day right. The staff were kind, attentive, and always ready to help, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. A special thank you to the owner Jane, who is not only incredibly friendly but also clearly cares about every guest’s experience.
- Sarah-Jane (9/5): Beautiful quiet lodge near town of Victoria falls - We stayed in the rooms that overlook the garden. Rooms are spacious. Kettle and tea/coffee is provided. There is a small fridge. Beds are SO comfortable and have mosquito nets. Hairdryer is provided in the bathroom.
Each room has two chairs outside with small table.
Breakfast is delicious, fruit, cereals and yogurts are served first with tea, coffee and juice. Followed by eggs of your choice, bacon and sausages.
All the staff are super friendly and accomodating to your needs, helping out with trips to town, taxi ordering and tour planning and booking.
The lodge is very peaceful and 5 minutes walk there is a small supermarket and a lovely restaurant.
Town is about 5 minutes by car...probably walkable too but we didn't as I was travelling with my elderly parents.
WiFi is fast and good.
There is a room with tons of books available to borrow for your holiday reading :-)
Rooms have good A.C. The showers are quite temperamental running either very hot, Luke warm or quite cold and have very little pressure.
This was totally fine for us though as we only shower quick :-p
The pool is quite small, this was ok as there were not many guests when we were there but I imagine it would feel crowded if the place was full.

- amanda (8/5): A warm welcome in a comfortable lodge - The personnel (Pretty and her collegue) provided a very warm welcome. The beds were very comfortable with a good musquitonet and the breakfast was prepared to your liking. Everything was very, very clean. The location was very beautiful, a bit away from the busy centre in a lush surrounding. The shower and the toilet needed some attention (flushing and leaking). Some decoration on the wall of the room would have been nice.
- Katharina (9/5): - Freundliches Personal und große Zimmer 😊
- Thierry (10/5): Au top !
- Aiza (9/5): -
- Yusuf (9/5): Fantastic hotel and staff team - Fantastic hotel with an incredible staff team. Pretty was excellent and helped with our every need. The breakfast was fresh, room very clean, bathroom lovely, beds comfortable. No issues at all! Thank you. The Internet connection didn't work inside the room but worked great on the terraces. Overall the Internet isn't great in the country though so this isn't a complaint at all, just an FYI to any guests who may want to work from here.
- Kara (8/5): -
- Kym (10/5): - The staff were amazingly friendly. We could not ask for better service. They gave us extra suggestions for attractions to see.. The food was tasty and plentiful. The lodge was peaceful and very comfortable. The only possible problem others may have is that the lodge is located a little way from the centre of town. It is within walking distance so it was not really an issue. Taxi fares are a standard price so that was easy too.
- stephanie (8/5): Très belle étape du voyage - Très bel accueil chaleureux
- sunghee (9/5): -
- Sovilj (8/5): Very familiar atmosphere. - Beautiful room and bathroom. Lovely pool area in the garden. Very helpful staff, especially Pretty. Friendly dog.
- sidorova (7/5): - please do something with breakfast. It is not good. not tasty
other things was great
- John (9/5): - Zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij personeel. Goed ontbijt in de tuin.
- MAURON (10/5): -
- Thandiwe (10/5): We loved it so much - It was quiet and the rooms spacious Everything was to our expectation
- Evan (9/5): -
- moyo (7/5): -
- Jesca (7/5): -
- Lawrence (9/5): Exceptional service - The service was very good I liked parking, room cleanliness and food
- Jessica (10/5): Calm, peaceful, comfortable lodge on the outskirts of Victoria Falls - Nice breakfast, very helpful staff who personalized the experience and make sure you're well taken care of. It's not so close to the main part of town, but it's still possible to get to a nearby restaurant/shop by walking, some mosquitos outside at night
- Hastings (7/5): - Quite and pleasant, good customer care from Pretty. Experienced a power outage and backup wasn't working. Had to sleep without Aircon and Wifi
The dog
- Markus (8/5): Gute, unprätentiöse Unterkunft. - Freundliches Personal und Hund
- Philip (10/5): Perfect. Lovely location and friendly staff. Highly recommended. - Lovely quiet location only a short taxi ride to the town. The owner was away during our stay but Pretty, Manuel and all the other staff were exceptional. The young man sweeping the leaves every morning always gave a smile and a friendly wave. Prior to our stay the owner booked our airport transfer, safari trip to Chobe and the Brandeis dinner cruise. Pretty was always available to book taxis and generally give advice. Pretty kindly supplied a packed lunch for our early start for the safari. Our stay was faultless and we shall definitely stay there again on our next visit to Vic Falls. Nothing.
- Helene Cecilie (6/5): - Vanskelig å få tak i personals på ettermiddagen/kvelden.
- ailtosilva (1/5): very horrible experience. - The people is very nice.
the price is also good. The food was always the same and without any change.
There is a big dog around the place that made me scare all the time, many cats around the garden and there was someone smoking into the another room and all the smoke in our room.
No tv set, internet only work in some place.
- lionel (8/5): - Beautiful lodge in a quiet environment. The room was big and new so very comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The garden is very pleasant.
There is also a nice restaurant nearby. Nothing.
- Vusi (10/5): An exception stay which i didn't expect, keep up the standard. - The rooms were big and spacious, clean as well. The staff was very friendly and ready to accommodate special requests. since i was attending a meeting, the staff went beyond to pressing and washing my clothes. The lodge provided tranquility that was exceptional, I personally appreciated that. The fact that there was no TV was a bit of a let down. i like TV so would have preferred to have one. The other thing i would have liked to have an option to have supper/dinner, because some days i would be hungry in the evening and that meant going out.
- Melanie (8/5): - Big shout out to all the staff, especially Pretty. She was so friendly and helpful, driving us to town on a couple of occasions, helping with organising activities/tours. The room was lovely. Great shower, very spacious room and comfy bed. Having a cafe and supermarket 5 minutes walk away was really good. Nice part of town and felt very safe. Good pool and lounge area. Breakfast was lovely. Internet was poor, but l think that is true for Zimbabwe everywhere. A little far from town, but that meant a nicer area.
- Jan (4/5): Het was ok, maar beneden gemiddeld - Lokatie en vriendelijk personeel Geen faciliteiten, zoals fietsverhuur
- Annette (6/5): -
- Dilara (8/5): -
- Sikhumbuzo (9/5): Enjoyable business trip to Victoria Falls. - Awesome location. Wonderful staff. Good breakfast. Value for money.
- Shelton (9/5): -
- Lorraine (10/5): Fabulous lodge set in beautiful grounds with exceptional staff within easy reach if Victoria Falls. - The staff here are amazing everyone is so friendly, welcoming, conscientious and helpful. The breakfasts are delicious and the grounds and gardens are beautifully maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room in the original house was very big, comfortable and spotless but a bit tired and dated compared to the newer rooms in the adjoining building. If this would bother you - ask for a newer room.
- Mzyece (8/5): The wifi was perfect; I managed to get some work done - breakfast was superb. I ordered what I like to eat
- Munhenzva (10/5): -
- Louisa (10/5): A comfortable base from which to explore Vic Falls, very happy with the stay. -
