Guest Reviews
- Stefanie (10/5): Excellent - Such high quality of everything at such a remote location. The staff was great, doing an excellent job of running the place. The food was so delicious: the breakfast, the dinner, and also the freshly baked cookies and cakes in the community building. A special treat was watching movies about the history of this remarkable place in the evening, in the comfortable sofas of the bar area. The rooms are clean and simple. I initially worried a bit staying there would become boring, since there is no internet, and it is not possible to leave the hotel on your own (because of the possibility of polar bears). I was wrong: Multiple guided tours could be booked on the spot, visiting different areas of the settlement (or, in summer, even the surroundings, but I was there in October, with snow already covering the landscape). I highly recommend this place, run so professionally by the staff.
- Micah (8/5): Very good - Wonderful staff and one of my favorite accommodation experiences. I would love to return and stay longer The food was incredible and the included breakfast was one of the best. The staff is absolutely excellent
- Bekkijanel (10/5): Not to be missed! - The rooms are refurbished, warm, quiet, exceedingly comfortable, and have a great view.
The restaurant's chef is very talented and his food is super tasty!
But best of all is the incredible staff - Anna, Yana, Igor and Anatoliy. Their friendliness, amazing positivity, helpful attitudes and guidance made my stay incredibly memorable. They are the beating heart of the establishment and I appreciated the kindness and warmth they extended to me.
They also organise adventures with Constantine, who can show you the best spots around Pyramiden and is just the most decent, fun, and knowledgable companion to explore with!
Two nights was not long enough of a stay, a hotel not to be missed.
- Israel (10/5): Amazing experience, I strongly recommend this hotel to everyone. - Very friendly staff and very professional, clean rooms very confortable beds. Amazing Soviet Union decoration and food. To be honest, it is one of the best hotels. I liked everything.
- Anton (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing hotel with brand new facilities and stellar service. Truly unique experience in such a faraway location.
- Aaron (9/5): Superb - The food here was incredibly good. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all superb.
- Christine (9/5): Go back in time in artic zone - Everything ...., to be in such a place is a must .The scenery is incredible surrounding by mountains and view over the glacier. The history of this place is unbelivable , very Urbex ,so photogenic, All equipments of this soviet period are amazing regarding the conditions of life in this arctic zone. On top of it its quiet and restfull, Trying to spot wildlife with no one around is a luxury
Special Thanks to Anatolie for his kindness and all the private visits of the place...and Jana for attending us at the restaurant.... Nothing but I will suggest the Hotel to create or arrange somerhing on top of the roof for customers.Because of polar bears we are not allowed to walk around, so it wiould be nice to be able to spend time on the roof enjoying the landscape and spot wildlife
