Breakfast was so boring. Everyday it’s the same thing. Same juices, same everything. Everything is catered for vegetation’s and not international guests

• Sarah (8/5): Good customer service - We must thank the ops manager Ravi Kumar - Menon . And Sophia . We were disappointed on arrival and wanted to leave - it isn’t five star (there are four outside the property) but the it’s not four star really - it isn’t beach front , it’s a bit of a walk over and main highway too. The bar isn’t great and pool area also need a refurb . The room was basic however Ravi managed this situation very well to ensure we were comfortable. He has great customer care skills Breakfast wasn’t good . The bar area isn’t good.

• Ambili (8/5): Wonderful location and service - Excellent service, location, cleanliness, views and food. Staff were super helpful brining a wheelchair for my mother when we arrived and allowing us to use it during our stay. The only part of the whole hotel that wasn’t wheelchair friendly was the shower, it was a shower over a large bath with very thick sides and no anti-slip coating on the floor of the very curved bathtub. So it was difficult for my mother to shower and she needed our assistance. Other than this one detail the whole hotel, reception, carpark, restaurant, pool area and spa were all wheelchair friendly.

• Lutharsan (6/5): The staffs ware friendly. - The lifts had some bad smell. I reported this to the reception but nothing was done. It is advertised as a 5star. But this hotel is 4star. I will rated as 3 star. Breakfast has to order from small menu they gave. Not worth the breakfast.

• Jeff (1/5): Very bad service and unwelcoming staff!! - Nothing!! The experience of check-in was awful. The receptionist was very rude and not welcoming at all. The restaurant staff were really bad and did not provide the right service. The breakfast was limited and there was no choice of any food, only toast and no coffee and no fruit juices. The staff were unwilling to make any fried eggs or omelet did not want to make any other breakfast, there were no cereals.
• Gillian (6/5): Good clean hotel with and lovely pool, but their corporate inflexibility lets them down. - Our overnight stay here was lovely. Clean rooms, comfy bed, great swimming pool, lovely breakfast. They advertise a luggage room but you have to fight to get them to store your luggage as they also use this room for the staff to eat in. They would only store 2 out of our parties 4 bags. We then asked if we could have a room the use when we got back from our houseboat. In the end they wanted to charge us £90 to use a room between 10am and 8pm. We just wanted it to store our bags and have a shower before heading off to the airport later on that day. They were really inflexible. In the end we went down the road to the Raheem Residency who charged us £30 for a room. We ate at their restaurant and used the pool and they were lovely!

• Kalmer (10/5): great 5 star hotel with 6 star service - Great location, next to the see. Beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The hotel has a large swimming pool and restaurant on the roof with a picturesque view over the see. Delicious and inexpensive food. Last but not least......professional, proactive and very nice staff who are always ready to assist you. We really enjoyed our stay there. Nothing to complain

• Sandra (9/5): Overall, our time at the hotel was both pleasant and relaxing. A good choice to stay in Allepey! - Our stay at this hotel met our expectations for a 5-star property in India. The room was spacious, modern, and clean, with a comfortable bed that ensured a restful night's sleep. From check-in to check-out, the staff was consistently friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The reception team, restaurant staff, and management were all wonderful, making us feel welcome and well cared for throughout our stay. As we visited during Christmas, the hotel was quite busy, but the F&B manager thoughtfully offered to reserve a table for us in advance, which we truly appreciated. For those planning a backwaters trip, keep in mind that the embarkation point is about a 10-minute drive from the hotel. We were leaving early for a sunrise tour at 5 am, and the receptionist was incredibly helpful in arranging a rickshaw for us. Unfortunately, throughout our entire stay, we encountered persistent WiFi issues. While we were able to use our own data as a backup, it was still inconvenient, especially considering that reliable WiFi is a basic expectation at a 5-star hotel. This issue definitely impacted our overall experience, and we hope the hotel can address it for future guests.

Rooms very comfortable and clean. Food very good. Walking distance to the beach. Wifi was a bit inconsistent. Service in the restaurant was a bit slow as very busy.

The room was big and clean, the room service was great and the shower was really nice! Twin beds unfortunately were not available, but the queen size bed was big enough luckily! The door for the bathroom we couldn’t keep open so it got quite steamy, and the rooftop bar was not really a rooftop bar and was being renovated whilst we were there

Lots of building work going on outside the property but that’s the location rather than the hotel itself

As a World Traveler, I found this property better than many and most of the renowned 5 star and/or similar brands. Value for money in terms of room size, size of the bath room, interiors, utensils used for room service, staff, cleanliness, etc.. This review is not to promote this property, but to express my happiness out of me finding such a beautiful property to spend a day. I have conveyed this appreciation to the management directly before departing from this property and wish and hope that they will keep this standard intact for many years to come. I would like to see an in-house shopping facility within the hotel as there are no shops nearby.

However, didn’t like from - It was in a convenient location to go to town, walk distance to the beach. The hotel itself had automatic door entry which is ideal. Loved the rainforest shower and the newly fitted basin and toilet but can see it’s not going to be well maintained as already forming green stains around the plug hole We arrived in the room to see an ant by the pillow and dirty pillow cases and sheets. The bathroom door was heavy and could not leave door open for aeration especially after shower as it steamed the bathroom
