• Michael (10/5): Traumhaftes Paradies in Flic en Flac! - Zu allererst muss man sagen, dass die Unterkunft einfach wunderschön, gepflegt und ein grünes, tropisches Paradies ist - Entspannung pur. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, liebevoll eingerichtet und das Bett bequem. Sehr sauber und es hat an nichts gefehlt! Die Inhaber sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit in jeder Situation und immer erreichbar. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen - Danke für die schöne Zeit! Absolut nichts. Alles perfekt.
• Emiliano (10/5): - Ci è piaciuto tutto, tanto da lasciarci a bocca aperta. In tutti i viaggi non abbiamo mai trovato una struttura così speciale ed unica con una cura nei dettagli così memorabile. Il design delle stanze curatissimo e davvero piacevole. La piscina una piccola oasi immersa nel verde, bello fare il bagno la sera con qualche candela accesa per rendere l'atmosfera magica. I proprietari più che gentili, ti fanno davvero sentire a casa e sono sempre presenti per scambiare due chiacchiere. Con dei piccoli gesti quotidiani ti fanno davvero sentire a casa e accolti con piacere. Non solo abbiamo già consigliato la struttura ad altri amici, ma speriamo anche di avere un'altra occasione di salutare i proprietari! Un saluto anche alle dolcissime tartarughe, sempre in prima fila per farsi coccolare!

• İrem (10/5): Tropical home with everthing you need - We stayed at Maison Tropical for three nights. If I had to sum it up in a single sentence: this place is a perfectly designed living space. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with genuine warmth. The hotel feels as if it’s hidden within a tropical forest; as time passes, you realize just how thoughtfully this atmosphere has been crafted. The elegance of the interior wooden details immediately catches your eye the moment you step into the villa. The two-story layout features the bedroom, a balcony, and a bathroom on the upper floor, with plenty of hanging space provided for clothes. The ground floor houses a restroom, an open kitchen and living area, along with a small outdoor section suitable for meal prep. Everything has been meticulously planned; you’ll find every detail covered, including a large refrigerator, a microwave-oven, a stove, a washer-dryer, an iron, a Nespresso Vertuo machine, a dishwasher, and a Harman Kardon speaker. Both floors are equipped with air conditioning and a strong Wi-Fi connection. All the amenities work flawlessly, making you feel right at home. Moreover, the living spaces are both comfortable and aesthetically impressive. Outside, there is a beautiful shared pool. Although we didn’t use it, it was empty most of the time, giving it an almost private-pool feel. While the fact that it’s not beachfront might raise questions at first, there are stunning beaches nearby. Since all beaches in Mauritius are public, reaching them is quite easy. The highlight, however, was the sincerity of the management—especially the Portuguese owners. They were incredibly welcoming, offered us treats, provided travel recommendations, and helped with our every need. On our first morning, when we woke up feeling tired, they truly made our day by knocking on our door with fresh baguettes and croissants. My rating is a 100 out of 10. My only regret is not being able to stay longer. Nothing

The tips and recommendations were excellent — from booking us on an amazing boat trip to suggesting places to eat, every recommendation was spot on. The apartment was spotless and very well maintained, with daily cleaning that kept it feeling fresh like day 1. The bed was also very comfortable. We especially loved the freely roaming turtles around the property and the unique decorations that made the place feel like a marine museum.
• Eifion (10/5): Tropical Comfortable clean host had fine attention to detail - Host was brilliant. Very personal touch and very helpful in regard to local knowledge. I would recommend over any hotel on flic and flac beach. If you want to explore flic and flac, stay there and very short cycle/ walk to the beach. Even if high end hotels are your thing, this would not disappoint, prob your better option for flic and flac.

The property itself is perfect, with comfortable beds and large rooms, well-equipped kitchens, and everything you could need already thought of. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, and had provided small touches (bottled water, snorkels to borrow, etc) which made our stay effortless and enjoyable. Nothing - everything was better than we'd hoped for!

Номер очень удобный, красивый, стильный, есть все необходимое для очень комфортного проживания. Постель, полотенца - все белоснежное. Уборка ежедневная выше всяких похвал. Хозяева ,семейная пара ,невероятно прекрасные , гостеприимные , отзывчивые! Подсказали интересные локации, лучшие магазины, пляжи. Каждая мелочь в доме была подобрана с любовью и заботой , очень красиво и стильно. Эстетика в каждой детали🤩

• Franziska (10/5): Das ist das Paradies - Die Unterkunft ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, es gibt überall etwas zu entdecken. Der Garten mit den freilaufenden Schildkröten ist phantastisch - wirklich wie im Paradies. Joao und Polina haben uns so viele Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben und uns auch einen Ausflug zum Delfinschwimmen gebucht, das war ein unvergessliches Erlebnis. Toll ist auch, dass man die Fahrräder der Unterkunft nutzen kann, somit ist man schnell am Strand oder beim Supermarkt. Und es gibt eine kleine Bäckerei, die tolle Baguettes macht. Es war eine herrlich entspannte Zeit für uns und wir würden sehr gerne mal wieder kommen.

The house is wonderful: spotless, beautifully maintained, modern, and thoughtfully designed with incredible style. It honestly feels like a luxurious boutique hotel. You can totally sense the passion and care the owners have poured into every detail, blending local character with modern design and top-quality products. The kitchen was equipped with everything I needed, absolutely loved the outdoor cooking area! From the moment I entered through the gates of Maison Tropical, I felt at peace, safe and relaxed. The owners really make sure that it feels more like a home than a guesthouse, and it shows in every single detail. Joao and Polina were amazing hosts: kind, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. They were super responsive, shared local insights, and were always happy to help with anything. The bicycles were a lovely bonus, well maintained and perfect for exploring the area. The neighborhood itself is calm and residential, offering a peaceful atmosphere while still being conveniently close to a supermarket and fresh fruit shops. From beginning to end, it was a truly exceptional stay. I felt at home from the very first moment and had such a wonderful time throughout. • Anna (10/5): Sollten wir wieder in Flic en Flac eine Unterkunft benötige, dann buchen wir wieder hier :) - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ein Ort zum Verlieben! Das Maison Tropical war unsere erste Unterkunft auf Mauritius und ein besserer Start hätte uns nicht passieren können! Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich herzlich, voller Tipps und immer da, wenn man Hilfe braucht. Sie haben sogar geholfen, den Geburtstag meines Freundes zu etwas ganz Besonderem zu machen. Hinter einer unscheinbaren Tür verbirgt sich ein kleines Paradies: lauter Palmen, 3 Hausschildkröten, ein Pool und liebevoll gestaltete Apartments mit so vielen schönen Details. Unser Apartment war gemütlich, stilvoll und hatte alles, was man braucht – sogar eine Terrasse mit Outdoorkitchen. Der Blick vom Balkon in die Palmen war einfach traumhaft! Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt und wären am liebsten noch geblieben. Absolute Empfehlung an alle die eine Unterkunft im Paradies buchen möchten! Es hat wirklich alles gepasst! Die Zimmer wurden immer gereinigt, es gibt eine Nespresso Kaffeemaschine, frische Früchte, sehr gute Geräte um auch „Zuhause“ zu kochen 👍 das Meer ist 1 km entfernt und auch Zufuß erreichbar, jedoch gibt es überall gratis Parkplätze.

Le plus est vraiment la cuisine, vous avez un carrefour à moins de 10 minutes pour faire quelques courses. Tout est très propre et le personnel est adorable! Die Unterkunft war so individuell und detailverliebt gestaltet mit einem wunderschönen tropischen Garten. Man wollte die Wohnung und das Anwesen gar nicht verlassen. Wir haben wertvolle Tips bekommen für Aus - In dem Moment, in dem man durch das Eingangstor geht betritt man einen Garten Eden mit einem wundervolen tropischem Garten, aussergewöhlicher Dekoration und Einzelstücke von Joaos und Polinas Reisen, sowie Möbel aus Mauritius. Das Ambiente ist wirklich aussergewöhnlich.

• Nadja (10/5): Die besten Gastgeber die wir je hatten!! - Wir wurden von A-Z super betreut. Die Unterkunft ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir konnten jederzeit um Rat für Ausflugsziele oder Restaurants bitten und haben umgehend eine Antwort bekommen. Auch Ausflüge wurden organisiert in no time. Auch als mein Mann mit dem Magen Probleme bekam, wurde er mit Medikamenten versorgt. Die zweistöckige Wohnung wurde jeden Tag gereinigt und frische Nespressopads aufgefüllt. Auch der Früchtekorb als Willkommensgeschenk und Fruchtsaft im Kühlschrank haben wir sehr geschätzt. Ihr seid Superhosts und verdient 10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!! Es ist wirklich wunderbar mal wieder einen Gastgeber vor Ort zu haben und nicht wie sonst üblich, anonym. Die hauseigenen Schildkröten waren auch immer irgendwo unterwegs und es gab immer irgendwelche Tiere im Garten zu entdecken. Wir können Maison Tropical zu 100% weiterempfehlen. From the moment you enter the property, a tropical forest greets you with lush trees, plants and a few very friendly turtles. The two-floor apartment is tastefully designed, with every decorative element clearly chosen with thought and care. The kitchenette is perfect for making small meals and breakfast with a generous refirgerator, small induction stovetop, oven and dishwasher. There are two bathrooms, a washing machine and a flat screen television with all of the apps and also connectable to a laptop or tablet. Polina and Joao are lovely and generous hosts. Available to give you tips and tricks about the island and assisting you in whatever needs you might have, or just to have a chat about life. The staff at the Maison Tropical is extremely friendly, accomodating and thorough. The villa itself is well situated in the Flic en Flac area of Mauritius. If you are interested in having a lazy vacation only visiting the local beaches, you can easily do without a car. Of course, if you want to explore the island, then a car is a must. We highly recommend the Maison Tropical!

• Britta Martina (10/5): - Ein kleines Paradies auf Mauritius – besser geht’s nicht! Schon beim Betreten der Ferienwohnung war uns klar: Das wird ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt! Das Gästehaus befindet sich in einem kleinen Garten mit übergroßen tropischen Pflanzen, so dass hier direkt der Eindruck entsteht, dass man im tropischen Regenwald gelandet ist. Die Lage ist ideal: Ruhig, aber dennoch zentral, mit Supermarkt, Bäckerei und authentischen Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Den Strand von Flic en Flac erreicht man in ca. 10Min. In wenigen Autominuten erreicht man noch einige andere schöne Strände der Insel, und auch Sehenswürdigkeiten wie den Botanischen Garten von Pamplemousses oder den Black River Gorges Nationalpark sind nicht so weit entfernt. Die Wohnung selbst ist modern, makellos sauber und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Helle, freundliche Farben, hochwertige Möbel und Accessoires und eine perfekt ausgestattete Küche, in der es wirklich an nichts fehlt. Kurz zusammengefasst: Europäischer Standard trifft auf lokale Akzente mit einem einzigartigen Spirit. Besonders schön fanden wir den kleinen Pool, an dem wir unsere bewegten Tage entspannt ausklingen lassen konnten. Das Schlafzimmer war sehr ruhig, das Bett superbequem und die Klimaanlage lief leise und zuverlässig. Auch das Bad war ein Highlight – Regendusche, duftende Pflegeprodukte und flauschige Handtücher wie im Hotel. Ein weiterer unverzichtbarer Pluspunkt war die Gastfreundschaft von den Gastgebern Poline & Joao. Schon vor der Anreise bekamen wir hilfreiche Tipps zu Restaurants, Ausflügen und Mietwagen. Beim Check-in wurden wir herzlich begrüßt, und zwischendurch erkundigten sich die beiden unaufdringlich, ob alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit ist. Sie organisierten sogar eine private Bootstour zu einer kleinen Nachbarinsel – ein absolutes Highlight! Fazit: Diese Ferienwohnung ist ein echtes Juwel auf Mauritius – perfekt für alle, die Entspannung, Komfort und das authentische Inselleben verbinden möchten. Es gibt nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hat.
• Grgo (10/5): Unforgettable experience in paradise where our wedding dreams came true - Absolutely perfect, it was better than a 5-star hotel we've ever been to. We stayed at Maison Tropical in for our wedding, and it was simply magical. From the moment we arrived, we felt more comfortable and relaxed than in any luxury hotel. The apartment is more like villa and it was spotless, beautifully designed and surrounded by a calm tropical atmosphere that made us feel like in paradise. Polina and Joao are truly amazing hosts. They welcomed us so warmly with a lovely welcome package (the Ti’ punch recommendation was incredible) and went above and beyond to make everything perfect. They helped us with wedding preparations, ironed the wedding dress and prepared the suit, gave us great local recommendations and even done a personal photo shoot at the apartment and in their stunning garden. Their staff kept everything sparkling clean every day, including the pool. We also loved having free access to snorkeling gear, bikes, and many other thoughtful details. Staying at Maison Tropical wasn’t just accommodation, it was an experience filled with kindness, care and warmth. It will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you, Polina and Joao, for making our wedding stay truly unforgettable. That our stay had to end, time went by way too fast there! We honestly wish we could've stayed longer. We even asked Polina and Joao for some tips on how they designed their beautiful villas, because we would love to create something similar one day.
• OLIVIER (10/5): Incomparable à Flic en Flac et Maurice - Nous avons passé trois nuits, qui ont conjugué le confort parfait d'une Suite Coloniale à 2 niveaux, et un accueil extrêmement sympathique de Joao et Polina. Un îlot de plantes tropicales autour de la piscine. Une décoration et un confort exceptionnels. Nous y avons dîné deux soirs (l'équipement est parfait). Le plaisir de soirées ensuite sur le balcon, pour écouter et profiter... Flic en Flac n'est peut-être pas le plus bel endroit de Maurice mais on peut profiter de la plage, et s'offrir un point de départ vers Chamarel, la plaine champagne, le Morne... Nous avons séjourné 7 fois à Maurice, et (mettons à part les grands hôtels qui peuvent être une autre façon de profiter de l'île) ce fut notre plus belle expérience. Avec, à nouveau, un compliment spécial à Joao et Polina, dont plusieurs petites attentions personnelles ont rendu notre séjour plus remarquable encore. Merci pour un anniversaire exceptionnel. Tout a été parfait. Les communications préalables à l'arrivée ont été également claires, réactives, sympathiques. Et l'accueil comme le départ l'ont été tout autant. Donc, que du bonheur !

It is spacious, tastefully and elegantly furnished, and perfectly equipped. The location is quiet and the bed is the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. We stayed with our 7-month-old baby, and the hosts had prepared everything we could possibly need for him — staying there with a little one has never been so easy. A special mention goes to the hosts, Joao and Polina: simply exceptional. They are attentive and caring, always ready to give us tips on how to explore the island. They truly pampered us — we felt welcomed and immediately at home. If our holiday was perfect, it was also thanks to them. We will definitely be back, and in the meantime, I can only recommend everyone to stay here.

I'll make an exception and start with the end: by the end of our one week vacation, we had fallen so in love with Maison Tropical that we didn't want to leave.But back to the beginning: standing in front of the unassuming wall, you have no idea what a gem lies hidden behind it. Then you step into the magnificent tropical garden, home to birds, geckos, and tortoises, and feel transported to another world. It reminded us much of an enchanting Riad in Marrakech.The apartment itself is on two floors, so you feel like you're in a small house. There's no need for curtains; instead, palm trees and banana leaves provide privacy. Everything is brand new and exceptionally well-equipped. There's an outdoor kitchen with an induction cooktop, a huge refrigerator, a washing machine, Netflix and other streaming services, and a very comfortable bed. And of course, the bathroom doesn't just offer one, but three different shower gels to choose from. The entire apartment is beautifully decorated with seashells and other treasures that the host collects himself from the sea or nature. Not to mention the exceptionally thorough daily cleaning, which is a real plus.Maison Tropical is located on a quiet side street in Flic en Flac. Parking is available right outside the door. The sea is about a 10-minute walk away, or you can easily reach it using the bicycles provided by the hosts or a rental car. A supermarket and restaurants are also within easy reach.In the wonderful garden, there's a fantastic pool that you practically have to yourself. Sun loungers, parasols, and a floating mattress are provided. Here, too, the pool is cleaned meticulously every day.And now for the hosts: João and Polina are the epitome of hospitality. Whenever we had a wish (for example a different blanket or pillows), it was immediately fulfilled. They provided us with complimentary coffee, tea, water, juice, and beer. Absolutely nothing

Die Wohnung ist wundervoll und liebevoll eingerichtet – man fühlt sich wie in einem High-End-Boutique-Hotel. Рядом пляж, места где поесть, есть где припарковаться, хороший район На территории всего три танхауса, соседей абсолютно не слышно. Die 3 Suites inmitten von Palmen und mit einem schönen Pool ausgestattet, wurden mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet und man fühlt sich direkt Zuhause. Es ist aber nicht nur die Unterkunft, die einem willkommen heisst. Die Gastgeber, Polina und Joao sind unglaublich nett, sehr zuvorkommend und äusserst hilfsbereit. Sie haben uns während unserem Aufenthalt immer wieder tolle Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben. Die Kirsche auf dem Kuchen für unser 5-jähriger Sohn waren die zwei süssen Hausschildkröten Sunshine & Rainbow, denen man immer wieder über den Weg läuft. Sollten wir wieder mal nach Mauritius kommen, werden wir mit Sicherheit wieder das Maison Tropical buchen… Es gibt absolut nichts zu bemängeln.

Una casa magnifica in cui ricaricare corpo e mente, e in cui tornare dopo aver esplorato una delle isole più belle mai viste. Struttura stupenda!! Premetto che sono molto pignola, e difficilmente le strutture mi soddisfano. Questa volta non ho davvero nulla da eccepire. La casa è molto raffinata, in stile coloniale. Bellissimi i soffitti ricoperti di canne, le resine dei pavimenti e l’illuminazione soft e indiretta, a garantire un’ambientazione sofisticata e rilassante. Da ogni finestra si intravede il verde lussureggiante e curatissimo della proprietà; ci si sente immersi in un paradiso terrestre. Ottima posizione a due passi da quella che è la spiaggia, a mio parere, più bella di Mauritius. Ampia, di sabbia corallina bianca, con la vista su le Morne. Gli spazi della struttura sono perfetti, gli arredi incredibilmente curati. Ogni elemento è studiato per garantire il benessere dei sensi, a 360 gradi: vista, olfatto, udito e tatto! Dalla scelta dei tessuti e degli arredi, alla scelta dei saponi (diverse fragranze per alternare il profumo); dalla cura nei dettagli (i teli mare coordinati con gli ombrelloni della piscina, la macchinetta del caffè Vertuo come a casa - siamo italiani… è stata una vera coccola), alla scelta dei suppellettili e dei minimi particolari. Polina, che ci ha accolto come una vera padrona di casa sa fare, è stata davvero preziosa nel suggerire mete e gite da non perdere. Seguire i suoi consigli ci ha permesso di vivere Mauritius come meritava. Ci torneremo sicuramente. Grazie!!! Nulla, tutto perfetto!

There’s both a terrace and a balcony—I loved sipping coffee from the in-room coffee machine while listening to the birds chirping on the terrace. It’s just a short walk to the main street, where you’ll find plenty of restaurants. The lush greenery with tropical plants and palms makes it feel like an oasis. The available bicycles allowed us to access the entire Flic en Flac area easily. The pictures are completely accurate. You can tell that the owner who was also present during our stay really puts his heart into this place - it’s more than just a business for him and that makes the experience truly special. Honestly, everything was amazing! There’s nothing we didn’t like.

The area is very calm which makes it perfect to relax. The contact person was very reactive to my messages when having questions. It's just some details as overall we enjoyed very much our stay but I would have like to have a mosquito net in the bedroom and curtain at the window in front of the bed and maybe some switches near the bed or bedside lamps.

Our suite was very well equipped with full kitchen (Nespresso coffee machine, oven, dishwasher, washing machine ect), pretty living room with social bathroom, large bedroom with excellent bed and spacious bathroom with high quality towels, robes, soaps and walk-in shower. The property is perfectly located a close drive from hustle and bustle of the town and is quick bike ride away from Flic en Flac Beach (free bike rentals is included in the stay) We can highly recommend Maison Tropical and would definitely go back again!
