• Jennifer (10/5): The best place to stay in El Chalten!!! - Location is superb, few meters to the trailhead. Restos and grocery across the property. Clean rooms, spacious lawn, easy chkin and chkout and most of all, Claudia the personnel/staff, is the BEST of all! She helped me with booking taxi and eventually went out extra mile to drive me to the bus station because we could not get taxi last minute (my bad for not planning my time). I highly recommend this place!! Will definitely stay here again in the future. None

El Chaltén is paradise for hikers — you can start hiking just 10 minutes from the apartment, and that alone makes this place special. The apartment has two rooms: a separate bedroom and a full kitchen. Directly across the street there is a grocery store where you can buy basic food. The quality, selection, and prices are perfectly acceptable for people who spend 8–10 hours hiking every day. We stayed five nights, and after long days on the trails we had no energy to go out, so we cooked at home instead. Everything worked perfectly: stove, freezer, and coffee machine. We didn’t even turn on the TV — the Wi-Fi was good enough to stream whatever we wanted. One important tip: the price for the national park entrance is ridiculous — we paid the full fee. However, about five minutes from the cabin there is an unguarded trail entrance. With a few minutes of online research you can find the exact location. As of December 20 it was still free, and from that path you can reach the main points of interest. None

Fitz Roy trail head only .3 miles from cabin. Claudia was very helpful and responsive. Stayed other places in El Chalten and this one is by far best value and location and pretty views.

• Xinyi (7/5): Simple cabin at center of town - In the center of town, very convenient to go to the either end for hiking or restaurants, grocery store right across. The stand alone unit provides privacy and kitchen to prepare breakfast or warm up leftovers. First floor has a large window at front giving in a lot of light into the cabin. Host Claudia was very responsive, answering questions quickly. The cabin is clean. It’s a simple cabin, 1st floor lacks adequate surface area to place miscellaneous items, we seemed to always search for places to put things down. The bed was hard, uncomfortable for me but ok for my husband. There’s almost no sound proof, we hear the next door clearly
