• Alexandra (10/5): - A peaceful little gem near Plav — close enough to explore the area, yet far enough to enjoy complete calm and stunning mountain views. The place is a beautiful self-sustaining family farm with its own vegetables, cows, sheep, chickens, and friendly dogs, which makes the whole experience feel authentic and special. The family is incredibly welcoming and makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive. And the dinner was absolutely amazing — fresh, homemade, and full of local flavor. Highly recommended for anyone looking for nature, peace, and genuine hospitality.
• Jean (10/5): - Thank you selimaj family so much for the most amazing time! Highly recommend. I stayed 4 nights and was so relaxing and the kindest family. The whole place is built by them and is stunning. The food is insanely good, I had breakfast and dinner and it definitely the best food I’ve had in the Balkans and is so varied, everyday waa different and always more then I could possible need. Everything is home made and grown or from their farm. Would love to come back was such a treat
• Dawid (9/5): Such helpful owners - Veeery helpful hosts, helped me a lot. Nice, wooden houses, with bathroom. Very good food, made from ingredients produced by the owners. Heater for cold nights. You have to be careful with google map directions to the place

• Meagan (10/5): - FAVORITE STAY OF THE ENTIRE TREK!!!!! We took a rest day at this stay because it was so tranquil and relaxing. The cabins on the property were super clean and private with amazing views. It truly felt like such luxury! The host family was very kind and helpful, and I was sad to leave! They also offered transit service if needed. The food was DELECTABLE and it was truly my favorite stay on the trip. Would 100000% return if I'm in Plav again. THANK YOU Bujtina Selimaj!
• Tim Eric (10/5): - Nahe des PoB gelegen hatte ich in dieser Unterkunft 2 der schönsten und persönlichen Tage auf meiner Reise. Die Familie ist super nett und zuvorkommend, die Zimmer sind komfortabel ausreichend groß. Das Essen ist ein absoluter Traum, fast alles ist selber hergestellt oder angebaut. Tut euch selbst einen Gefallen und schaut vorbei :)

• Philipp (10/5): - Traumhafte Lage! Unglaublich freundliches Personal! Leckeres, frisches, gesundest und hervorragendes, lokales Essen! Die Hütten sind sauber, geräumig und sehr gemütlich. Inklusive kleinem Bad mit Toilette und Dusche. Alles absolut empfehlenswert!!! -
• alysse (10/5): - Excellent accueil ! Limonade rafraîchissante, tout à fait plaisante après une journée de marche. Bungalow individuel dans un coin tranquille. Pour moi qui randonnais sur le sentier des Pics des Balkans, cela m'a permis de prendre une nuit confortable sans être dans la ville. Bonne option, car l'hôte m'a indiqué un raccourci pour rejoindre le sentier !

• Jakob (10/5): Start your Peaks of the Balkans here :) - You stay with a lovely family on a beautiful farm - they have sweet small huts build on the hill and you have everything you need - a hot shower, home made meal with home made sausage (the best!) and animals to look at :) This property is a lovely start of your trip on the peaks of the balkans if you start in Plav (1,5h hike) - start slowly to get used to hiking and relax before the fun begins. Frank speaks a lot of languages including English, German and other languages as well. Your adventure could start here - we loved it :) It’s really lovely! Nothing to worry about.

• Ben (10/5): - It was so nice to have my own cabin and shower after my longest hike of the trip. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when taking me to Vusanje when I became unwell with a virus. It’s a bit outside Plav but it’s got a superior view and is along the trail so shortens your walk for the following day.

• Alice (10/5): Great friendly stay for Peaks of the Balkans hikers ! - We had a wonderful stay at Bujtina Selimaj! The owner and his family were extremely friendly, welcoming and arranging. They helped us out via email before arrival and then picked us up at the Plav bus stop. The home-cooked dinner and breakfast were delicious and it was a very friendly and warm beginning to our Peaks of the Balkans hike. Bujtina Selimaj is perfectly located on the route to Vusanje, to save the first few kilometres! Thanks again and would highly recommend:)

We felt very much at home, the food was truly restaurant-quality and the hosts super friendly,engaging. • Jeroen (10/5): Hidden gem - The guesthouse is run by a super lovely family. It is not far from the PoB trail and is definitely worth the short detour. The views from the guesthouse are stunning, and the food they serve is delicious. The cabins are new and are in excellent condition. 100% recommended
