Perfect for relaxing and watching the sunset đ Special thanks to Ismail and Zara for their kindness and support đ and to the rest of the staff for their great hospitality đ
I would definitely recommend SUNRISE to anyone visiting Tamraght! đ Nothing, everything was great đ

- Sarah (9/5): Mega gut!

- teda (10/5): - The room was spacious and the hotel is really close to the beach. We loved to roof top kitchen/communal area and everything was cleaned daily.
The host Ismail was so so kind, helpful and we felt very well looked after- he has big plans for the place so I'm sure it'll get even better with time!

- Katja (10/5): BEST HOSTEL beautiful people!!!! - This hostel is LOVELY!
Donât let you fool by former reviews. The owner changed and the Interieur, atmosphere and hospitality is amazing. I did not plan to stay long and ended up wanting to live there for months :)
The village is not the greatest place but it is located perfectly near by taghazoud and agadir so you can reach both of them easily and very cheap in less than half an hour and you have the benefit of staying out of big city trouble. Thereâs a supermarket nearby and bus stops. The beach is beautiful and you can walk all the way on the beach till Thagazoud.
The hostel is super, thereâs a big kitchen on the rooftop where you can cook, eat, chill, meet so many interesting people. You can use everything, the fridge, even a smoothie maker (blender) and a portafilter coffee machine!!! :)
There are Lockers! There is so much space and a lot of additional bathroom sinks beside the bathroom. It is clean, there are warm blankets and the owner and everyone I met there were SO warm hearted and lovely. I can highly recommend to stay there!!!
Thank you so mich for hosting me like home!

- Dusan (10/5): This hostel has everything a traveler can ask for - As far as I'm concerned, this hostel is as close to being perfect as it gets: rooms/dorms with plenty of light but also good curtains if you prefer a darker environment for sleep. Comfy beds, electric sockets nearby. Bathroom on each floor, plus a handy sink for brushing your teeth or shaving without occupying the toilet. A balcony on each floor, plus a large rooftop space with couches, cushions, tables and chairs. The kitchen is also.up there, with a cooker, two fridges, washing machine, perfectly adequate if you want to prepare your breakfast, or to cook lunch/dinner. All protected from the rain.
Seriously, everything here is spacious and generous.
Reliable Wifi everywhere in the building.
Café, 24/7 (!) grocery shop, and a restaurant (!) - all these right next door(s). A huge parking area across the street. 5 minutes walk to the Taghazout Bay beach.
Trees in front give the place a very nice touch of nature, despite the fairly busy road. Nothing to write here. Honestly.

- Yann (1/5): Toxic chemicals are used for cleaning â absolutely avoid. - The room is spacious. They use a very toxic chemical to clean the rooms and the bed sheets.
If you are even slightly sensitive, avoid this place entirely.
I didnât even know I was sensitive to chemicals until I stayed in this hostel. After just a few hours, I started feeling dizzy, developed a headache, and began coughing.
Each time I stepped outside, I would recover within about an hour â and as soon as I returned, the symptoms came back immediately.
I had to leave after 24 hours (or I felt like I might collapse). The owner only agreed to refund âŹ40 out of the âŹ100 I paid. Worse, he doesnât seem to care about these issues and reacts aggressively to comments.
Iâve stayed in at least 100 hotels around the world over the past 15 years, and I have never experienced anything like this â the air was genuinely toxic.
It took me four days to fully recover.
They own another hostel in Taghazout with the same problem : Taghazout surf camp.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I stayed at 6 other hostels in Taghazout during 2025, and none had any air quality issues whatsoever.
I've given 10/10 ratings to other Taghazout accommodations that genuinely care about their guests, so this low rating is not given lightly. However, I cannot accept heavily polluted air in any accommodation â this is a basic health and safety concern.
This was, without question, my worst lodging experience ever. The air quality was so poor that it felt like breathing chemicals. When I raised this issue with management, instead of showing any willingness to address the problem, they became hostile and nearly physically aggressive toward me.
Had they shown even minimal effort to improve the situation or acknowledge the concern, I could have rated this 5/10. Instead, their confrontational response made an already unacceptable situation worse.
I strongly recommend avoiding this establishment until they resolve their severe air quality problems and improve their customer service approach.

- Eulalia (1/5): â ïž A Stay Youâll Regret â ïž - Terrible experience â avoid this place!
We booked 4 nights at Sunrise Auberge. After 2 nights, the staff entered our room without permission, removed all our belongings, and gave our room to other guests â our personal items were found later on the floor of another room. No apology, no explanation, nothing. This is a total lack of respect, security, and professionalism. Absolutely unacceptable.
On top of that, when they moved our things to another room, it hadnât been cleaned â no fresh sheets, no clean bathroom, nothing. The hygiene was as unacceptable as the management.
đ§No hot water - No wifi đ
Be aware that the good ratings belong to the previous year, before a change of ownership. It used to be a surf camp, but now the place is run down and badly managed. Nothing to do with what the reviews describe.
- Jlioui (1/5): - I didn't stay there because the reception guy was too rude when I called him to ask about the address. u can't find it easily
And I called him to open the door and he left me there waiting for more than 10 minutes
So I canceled, and I booked other hostel Rudeness
- Oumayma (10/5): Maman et moi avons passé un week-end exceptionnel, Youssef ( le gars qui gÚre ) est hyper gentil, serviable et à l écout - L emplacement, la deco, le service, le calme ⊠en gros tout Rien à signaler
- Sjoerd (7/5): Good - Sure! Here's a full review combining everything into one coherent story:
I stayed at this hostel for two weeks because it was so peaceful and quiet. Most of the time, I had the dorm to myself, which made for a very relaxing stay. The location is greatâjust around the corner from the main square.
The hostel is basic but clean. The breakfast is simple, yet enough to start the day. The Wi-Fi worked well throughout my stay, which was a nice surprise.
However, the facilities are quite minimal. There was no soap in the shared bathrooms, and when I arrived, there were no bed linens on my bedâalthough I did see them on other beds later.
Another thing to note: the hostel is on a busy road, so you may hear traffic, but inside it remained calm and quiet.
Overall, itâs a good place if youâre looking for a simple and quiet stay in a central location.
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Large room, close to the beach, shop, bus stop, clean and nice, balcony, amazing rooftop for chilling and breakfast served every morning. Very nice and friendly staff Quite far from Agadir or any other bigger city , everything else was perfect
- Bogdan (10/5): Exceptional - Good internet, 5 min from beach, 1 min from supermarket and spacious room with balcony.
I stayed for almost 1 month and I will definitely come back. The breakfast could be improved.
- Christina (8/5): Nice place - Nice place with a big and comfortable roof top terrace to cook and chill. Very close to restaurants and also walking distance to the beach.
Room was also spacious and cozy decorated.
- Lorenzo (4/5): Disappointing - Breakfast was good, the terrace at the top is very nice also the kitchen is perfect. On the main road, very noisy.
Pillows very uncomfortable, constant smell of sewage and really no staff around to interact.
- Antoni (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was amazing
- Staravoitava (8/5): Very good - Close to the ocean No stuff was found. Washing machine was broken
- Dyl (10/5): Excellent. - Very clean and well looked after! Berber breakfast in morning which is very nice. Pleasant owners with customer satisfaction as a main priority. Very pleased with the stay! Bed very comfy compared to other places I have stayed. Highly recommend!!! Nothing to complain about.
- Barney (8/5): Tamraght Morocco đČđŠ - The host Othmane was exceptionally helpful, and fatima, the cleaner, was very good at her job. There was no
1, microwave
2, kettle
3, mattress was rock hard ( bad back )
- Nabil (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean bedroom and the staff was very nice
- Paul (9/5): Excellent stay in Youssef hostel, who has been an amazing host full along great advices. - The breakfast, a typical Berber breakfast, was cooked by Youssef himself and was great. Nothing
- Tayeb (10/5): Outerbanks vibes with a drizzle of Moroccan sauce đđœ - This is one of the best hostels Iâve been to.
Everything was nice and clean, the place was what you see is what you get. stores and cafe restaurants were only steps away with an ATM machine right by the door step.
Youssef was very helpful, responsive and professional.
definitely going back! there was nothing to complain about.
- Harvey (2/5): Host terrible - Near to sea and nice once away from road No info on door to get in ( two hour wait)
Lies from host
Bed room has noise from road and pillow like a rock!
Cockroach in bathrooom
Bad experience not happy! Bad
