Guest Reviews
- Anthony (8/5): Lovely stay with everything you’d need and close the airport - Location was perfect for the airport and all the basics were provided which was excellent. There was plenty of space. The main road at the front was quite busy so the road noise while sleeping wasn”t too good.
- Alison (9/5): - Good location and communication. Clean, warm, coffee tea and sugar nice touch. Kitchen well equipped Our preference only ......beds were a small double and bit soft for our liking. Sofa was too low for us so sat at table but only in for short time so not too much trouble.
- Claire2532 (7/5): April stay at Cheadle Village - We were going to P louise and this was a fantastic location easy to find with clear instructions on getting there and how to get in once there. The house is roomy with two double rooms. There is a great pub the red lion about 40 steps away and the food is fabulous in there and fairly reasonably priced. We couldn't get the heating on so the house was freezing. The sofa in the lounge had seen better days and the windows could do with being double glazed as the noise from the road is loud and consistent as a busy road and flight path to Manchester airport.
- Sue (6/5): - Good location for work. Spacious and good bathroom and kitchen and lounge Could do with dressing tables in the bedrooms. They are huge rooms. Also, pillows need replacing desperately as they are totally flat. Duvets are very thin. A lamp in the front room would be good too.
- Kisile Athanase (10/5): it was amazing - Everything nothing
- Courtney (10/5): - Great house and just what we needed and had everything available. Lush bathroom too!
- Nicolas (6/5): -
- Jack (7/5): -
- Digna (8/5): - Good location, felt very safe, very spacious house, very warm too! House has everything you need, all rooms are very big. We only stay one night so didn't use lots of facilities, but has a big dining table in the kitchen which is also very spacious. A slow response from the host on the day of arrival although I think he had issues with his phone.
The room next to the main road is quite noisy, it was totally fine for me as I am a deep sleeper but overall is a great property.
- Jasmin (10/5): -
- Loughrie (10/5): - Wonderful host highly recommended
- omar (7/5): -
- Douglas (10/5): Excellent stay, would definitely use again. - Easy to get to, close link to a train station for a quick ride into the centre of Manchester. Great location.
Easy access, clear instructions from the hosts.
Clean and tidy, everything easy to use.
- Spartak (10/5): - Everything was great
- Gemma (7/5): - Good location, host was contactable
- Adam (9/5): -
- Shary (8/5): Lovely house, with everything you need & spotlessly clean - Lovely house, spotlessly clean & has everything you need and more. Nothing to dislike
- eric (7/5): The place was clean, tidy and comfortable what let it down was excessive Road noise. - Very spacious Road noise quite excessive
- Conder (1/5): Booked for the night had the money taken but then was told I wasn’t allowed to access the property and wouldn’t be given - Nothing.
- Deb (9/5): - Very good location Loud traffic
- Gail (9/5): Overall stay was great for our visit, perfect location - Very comfortable property and everything required was thought of by the host. Location was perfect for us having previously lived in the area. Convenient for motorway access and great transportation links.
- Diane (1/5): We were so disappointed that we considered moving.somewhere else. - Near Manchester airport The accommodation was generally not clean and everything felt sticky. The fridge freezer had old food in it.
Very poorly equipped eg not enough crockery or tea towels. Quality of bath towels poor.Light in kitchen not working.Bare wires on ceiling light upstairs hall. Stair carpet so worn we could have slipped. It was like cheap student accommodation. We should have been made aware of the noisy main road.
- Emma (9/5): Superb - Perfect for what we needed which was somewhere to cook and sleep, nice bathroom and kitchen had everything we needed. It's a noisy road and with the windows open it can be annoying with the planes and cars but my friend slept through it, I'm a light sleeper. The heating was on in all the rooms which on the hottest day in may was unnecessary so note to the host to turn it off and save some money!
- Ian (7/5): Arrived as parents and left as grandparents. Perfect. - The location was perfect for us. 5 minute walk to the centre of cheadle and a 3 minute drive or 15 minute walk to our daughter's house.
- Paul (9/5): Nice house in a very convenient location. Recommended. - House was nice, in a good location. Arrangements were straightforward, a very successful stay. Parking was a bit tricky, but we found somewhere a short walk away.
- Asociatia (1/5): No like this!! - The location was dirty..the pictures in the booking application have nothing to do with the reality inside the building..in addition to the state of degradation of the rooms..there is an unbearable sewage smell. I do not recommend!!Even though I contacted the owners they didn't want to cancel the accommodation, saying that the property is very clean! You can see how clean it is in the attached pictures! Once again shame!
- William (9/5): Superb - Great Location
We were attending a Yoga Event at the Cheadle Village Hotel and were able through the guidance of friendly locals to find a way through the local park and cemetery and woodland into the back of the hotel which was only 10mins away.
Plenty of safe parking around the property.
Most Excellent 🙏🌟🙏
- George (6/5): Convenient little cation for Cheadle village. - Well located for Cheadle Village. Noisy at night (main road).
Central heating took a bit of working out: cold when we arrived.
Could do with a few more ‘homely’ features, such as some smaller lights in the front lounge.
- Julian (5/5): Passable - Clean Owners ok but not overly enthusiastic.
Very sparse but some coffee sachets.
- Oluwatosin (8/5): Very good -
- Ken (8/5): It was everything we required - nbreakfast N/A Location was good nothing
- Colin (9/5): Great place to stay, highly recommended - Perfect location for 2 weeks working away, it was clean and made you feel you were at home from the moment you walked in the door. Can recommend highly enough. Nothing to fault.
- Anne (7/5): Comfortable but not conducive to spending time there just sleeping - Size and beds were comfortable Sitting room was stark. Comfortable settee but ambiance non existent- could do with some side lights
Only one bed side lamp in main bedroom
Carpet by door needed to be repaired
No instructions re boiler
- Databa (10/5): Would recommend. - Very neat and heating worked perfectly.
- Jacqueline (3/5): Poor - Nothing. We booked into a hotel rather than stay at this property There is no actual parking attaced to the property. Parking outside is limited to one hour 8am-6pm and the only parking is on the streets opposite if you can find a space. This is not made clear at the time of booking.
The accommodation itself had a musty smell when entering.
It was grubby in places i. e carpets could do with shampooing and the stair carpet was threadbare in places. Some radiators were dirty.
The furnishings did not seem of good quality and the sofa in the front room had an ill fiiting cover over it. The remaining chair wasn't very comfy either so although it was the only room with a tv, it didn't seem a room where one would want to spend any time.
The property looks better in the photos than in real life.
- Heather (8/5): Lovely clean place to stay. - Good location for friends and family. Lovely comfy beds and clean bathroom Didn’t have any salt or vinegar or kitchen foil for the air fryer.
- P (10/5): Meet our needs well. - We stayed in this property at the end of October with an elderly aunt to very another ill aunt who lived very close by. The house and location was perfect. The house was spacious. It is a very old house but (perhaps recently) redorated to a high specification. The kitchen was very well equipped (even a potato peeler and masher). The location was perfect to the village with lovely cafes (our favourite was Infused) and bars close at hand. The florist over the road was perfect for gifts. The bedrooms were big with featuers of the old house like fireplace. The bed was comfy and the bed linen fresh. The bathroom was very tastefully done with a large walk in shower (and a bath which we did not use). There was even a backyard but it was too cold to go out. There is noise from the airplanes into Manchester Airport. I think this is to be expected if you stay in Cheadle, so it is not really a negative. Manual was very useful but we did have to phone about heating (we had missed the thermostat in the kitchen!) which was very quickly resolved.
- Sue (10/5): Home from home - Lovely, clean and comfortable property. Well equipped kitchen and only a short walk to Cheadle village. Bedrooms are both large with very comfortable beds. Lovely bathroom No on site parking but managed to find a space on the residential street opposite so no problem
- Simon (8/5): Very good -
- Sandra (10/5): I stayed with my friend for the weekend as we were going to a gig in Wythenshaw and needed a base. The house was lovely. - It was lovely and clean and comfortable, close to local amenities. There was nothing I didn’t like.
- Chloe (5/5): Meh. - The house is decent however someone came through the back gate for garbage which I hated - ring camera linked to someone very weird
Owner complained that I left the oven or something on via booking.com message and complained that a cleaner only came in the following day
I will definitely rather be booking a hotel next time
To avoid the completely
Weird
Vibes
- Praveen (7/5): Good - I travelled for work and after numerous attempt I didn't get a copy of the invoice for this stay. Neither the host or booking.com been very helpful in this regard. I would stay away from houses/apartments for business stay from now onwards.
- Sarah (7/5): Clean house in good location but missing some basics - Clean house in a good location close to Restaurants, pubs and shops and bus stop right outside that takes you to Stockport in 15 minutes.
The house was clean but there were a few basics missing:
No mirrors in any bedrooms or anywhere to put your makeup, hair stuff etc
No hand towels provided
Bath towels were threadbare
None of the doors shut properly
Used old washing up sponges left by sink from previous people.
Smart TV so you have to sign into everything ( remember to sign out when you leave)
Front room reminded me of my student days, could do with an odd picture or fixture to make it less bare and more comfy. There is a ring doorbell connected, it rings outside but not inside, which means it's connected somewhere else! Didn't like that at all.
- Shimmin (8/5): The property was very clean , comfortable and warm and very close to Alexandra Hospital - It was very convenient for Alexandra Hospital Shops , restaurants close The stairs are very steep
- Erdal (8/5): Second time stay might be happened if price is lower than previous. - Location Sound and heating insulation could be better . Noise from the street was annoying during the night.
- Leonard (9/5): Superb - Nice airy property. Very clean and great position to be able to stroll into Cheadle. Large bedrooms and comfortable beds. Great bath and shower. Big, well-appointed kitchen open plan to big dining area and separate lounge
Would definitely stay there again. Steep stairs to upper floor as in most similar older properties but manageable
- Julie (4/5): Location was great for us but very basic - Kitchen looked great but cupboard doors were marked not wiped down from prev people. Location was great for us A fousty smell the fitted sheet was the cheapest they could buy and not comfortable to sleep in. The house was boiling due to the weather and no fans we could use. Had to buy one. Bedside cabinets didn’t match no hair dryer . Very basis. A few improvements and it could be lovely. Bathroom was lovely apart from a great big crack in one of the floor tiles.
- Erica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darren (10/5): Great spot with all amenities very close by, lovely location and clean, comfortable accommodation. -
- Elizabeth (5/5): Fine for our needs but wouldn't choose again because of stairs and bed. - Location good for visiting family but very noisy. Good bathroom but needs a bit of maintenance eg. dripping tap. Bed and bedding poor quality. Stairs very steep with no handrail.
- Jean (7/5): Great stay apart from noise. Take ear plugs! - Great house, immaculately clean, minimal but perfectly acceptable furnishings, bedding clean, fresh and modern. Hosted dinner for family, found kitchen utensils a little lacking (no scissors, cheese grater, mixing or salad bowl, had to improvise!). Does have air fryer though!
Property very close to village with shops, supermarkets etc. Great pub nearby. Also garage. Quite a bit of noise. Bus depot out back, busy road out front and air traffic overhead.
- Sammy (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (10/5): Great stay - would stay again, clean, spacious, host was great at communicating. - Location great near cheadle High Street- big rooms. Could have done with some outdoor seating area in the back garden.
- Arifa (8/5): Very good -
- Kathy (8/5): a nice house to stay in. john the hoist was very helpful. - was clean , comfortable & very spacious could do with hand rail to go upstairs
- Prof (10/5): A beautiful and comfortable stay - The property is very accessible. It is super clean. Restaurants are very close by and feeling very homey. John the owner is very friendly and accommodating too. No complaints
