• Seian (9/5): We enjoyed our comfortable country Fantail stay and pleasant surroundings. - Breakfast was satisfactory with a good cup of coffee but I liked waking up in the morning with the country feel and open spaces. The only small critique was off the front deck it needed a step to the garden area otherwise guest especially elderly or small kids could potentially fall down.

Heating and cooling options. Great shower pressure. Dinner ideas provided. Great coffee selection but no herbal teas available.
• Sigi (10/5): Lovely, quiet, and well appointed spacious cottage with all the comforts of home. - Everything was so lovely..... the property is out of town surrounded by farmland and just idyllic. So quiet and peaceful. The cottage is spacious and so well appointed, Fiona even has the fridge and pantry stocked with the essentials, and having an onsite laundry was a godsend. There was an abundance of clean fluffy towels and extra blankets, and the beds were so comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My only regret is that we didn't have a longer stay!

The rural location was just what we needed to unwind. We just got in from two days' flights and Fantail was just the place to relax, take an amazing shower and sleep off our jet lag in the extremely comfortable rooms. We really appreciated the coffee and cereals that were available and we cannot wait to stay again. See you soon!

The owner was very welcoming and came to our aid very quickly when we couldn't get the oven to turn on - just check the main switch is on! We were a little surprised there was no dining table but managed fine with plates in our laps. The lack of a table might influence what types of meals you have. A couple in our group were not keen on using the worn chopping board - maybe it could be replaced?

The house was cozy and warm and very clean. It had everything we needed for a perfect stay; beds very comfortable and shower had perfect heat and pressure! Would have been great to have a fire but the heat pump was fine. Thank you Fiona... we love your property! Nothing we.didnt like

• Karina (10/5): I would absolutely recommend it to anybody who is looking for a place to stay in that area! - The cottage was exceptionally clean! Fiona had everything we needed for breakfast: cereals, milk, variety of coffees and teas, spices. She was also very helpful when it came to the tour reservations, shopping, and dining. There is a binder and brochures with all the information you can possibly need during your stay in Hamilton. Nothing. It was amazing!

Beds really comfortable, parking was right outside, and cottage extremely comfortable and cosy. Could have stayed longer but time was limited

My nephew said he never sleeps in but the bed was so comfortable he slept like a log. I didn't like that we had to rush out today to make the start of a meeting at 9:00am when we could had enjoyed another hour of the peace and serenity of your home.

The shower was amazing, and we were cozy all night in our warm beds. Fiona very thoughtfully provided cooking basics and cereals for breakfast. We will definitely be returning!

• The (10/5): It definitely had the WOW factor! - We enjoyed everything about this property and it definitely had the WOW factor. Everything was exceptionally clean and the beds and doonas were very comfortable. The cosy lounge and full kitchen with fresh milk and condiments was wonderful and the host even provided bathroom and laundry supplies. The outlook was superb. Fiona the host was lovely. I think a little dining table would've been great to eat our meals at, or at the very least bar stools. We didn't eat in the lounge room as it was carpeted.

Fully stocked with crockery, cutlery, pots, pans etc. Breakfast cereals were provided along with coffee, tea etc. Beds were extremely comfortable. Guest Netflix was provided. I couldn't recommend this cottage enough. Kitchen floor was creaky.

The apartment was absolutely amazing—beautifully decorated and well-equipped, offering all the comfort we needed after a long day. The next morning, we enjoyed our coffee while taking in the peaceful farmlands surrounding us. We only wish we had more time to stay longer.

• Jen (10/5): We had a very comfortable stay at Fantail Cottage which was a home away from home for our family. - The host, Fiona, was very friendly and easy to contact prior to our arrival and ensured to meet us when we arrived. The view from the property was gorgeous and as it was our first night in NZ, it was absolutely perfect as we were so tired. The kitchen was very well equipped, there was milk in the fridge, cold water and a number of pantry items. There were many birds around, we enjoyed watching the chickens and cows and were very comfortable. There were also a number of helpful tourist brochures and parking for our car. There was also a washing machine and drying rack. Thanks for a wonderful stay! Nothing to improve.

The big chairs by the big window looking over the fields were just heaven. Fiona was really accommodating and we had everything we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer!
