Guest Reviews
- Chokwe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Morongwa (10/5): Exceptional - "I had an absolutely fantastic stay at Elysium Fourways. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the service was impeccable. My room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, and the amenities, such as the pool was fantastic. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the area, and the surrounding neighborhood was safe and vibrant. Overall, I would highly recommend cedr acres estate to anyone looking for a wonderful stay!" In the kitchen there was too much coakcroches , please try to spray the kitchen to kill them. The pots needs steel wool there were not clean as well l. I waited about ten minutes because the lady was still cleaning
Try to fix broken chairs and tables,
- Adolf (5/5): Decent place in a good and safe area. That's about it. -
- Kwenza (10/5): Exceptional - The host was amazing and very helpful and kind
- Lukasz (1/5): Issues, safety concerns, and lack of attention to detail make this a disappointing stay - First Impression:
The apartment was dark upon arrival due to the blinds being shut, likely to keep the midday heat down, which was understandable. Once aired out, it revealed a nicely decorated space with an appealing aesthetic.
Positives:
The air conditioning works well.
Magnetic door stoppers on all doors are a practical touch.
The apartment seemed clean at first glance.

Not enough space in the 'negatives* section:
Each time we entered the complex, we needed security to call the owner which drew out the process considerably, assuming he picked up his phone. A different method needs to be used.
Pro Tip to the Owner:
Treat your rental like a business, not a side hustle. Attention to detail, proper cleaning, and care for the property would go a long way. The apartment has several maintenance issues that need urgent attention. The balcony table is broken, drawer handles are missing, and the bar stool is dangerously loose—the top came off in my hands. The kitchen tap mechanism spins freely, making it difficult to use. Cleanliness was subpar for a rental property: cupboards contained empty shoe boxes and a random wooden spoon, while the bathroom drawer held sink parts, a deteriorated sponge, and used soap. These details give the impression that the apartment was not thoroughly cleaned or prepared for guests.
Amenities were lacking, especially for groups or longer stays. Only two bath towels were provided (one per bathroom), which was inconvenient for more than two people. There were no toiletries like soap or shampoo, and the pots and pans were in poor condition—burnt pots and a scraped pan were unusable. Closets had no hangers, and there were no bedside or corner lamps, leaving the lighting options limited to “all on” or nothing. Additionally, only two rolls of toilet paper were provided, and no extra bin liners were available once the one in the bin was used. This lack of preparation forced us to purchase basic necessities like toilet paper, mugs, a pot, and sponges to make our stay manageable.
The environment also left much to be desired. Noise was an issue, as I was woken up early by a neighbor revving their motorbike and residents with modified exhausts revving up and down the streets.
The children’s playground was being used as a cannabis-smoking area during the day and evening, which not only felt unsafe but was entirely inappropriate for a space meant for families. The men loitering there directed intimidating looks at me, adding to the discomfort and making the environment feel far from family-friendly.
Lastly, the kitchen had a serious cockroach infestation. While the apartment appeared clean on the surface, I killed 20 cockroaches over the course of our stay. They appeared at night, indicating a nest.
- Sangweni (10/5): It was amazing -
- Fredericks (7/5): Good -
- Tapoose14 (7/5): Good -
- Gitesh (7/5): It was great but there was a water issue - The place is stunning We did not have water the entire weekend - I personally feel a portion of our money should be refunded - we had a bucket bath the entire weekend - and was not allowed extra time to check out
- Fikile (8/5): Very good -
- Maashego (1/5): Bad -
- Makhosazana (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay, and are definitely planning to go back. Really enjoyed being in the pool and everything was - Everything about the property was so good. This place was too comfortable and safe, there’s nothing not to love about it
- Maureen (10/5): We had a beautiful stay at Sumi’s house thank you so much for allowing us at your beautiful place, the house was super c - The security process was exceptional, we felt very safe indeed how they conduct the security check, called our host and made sure we get our booked place without any hustle.
- Nhlamulo (8/5): Very good - It was a self catering apartment.
The location was great.
The place is beautiful and its very big. It definitely had everything I needed for my stay to be great.
I will definitely call again when I am around My advice is that since it's a self catering apartment, it would be nice to have some coffee/tea things. That's sugar, teabags, coffee and milk so that it can feel homely.
