Guest Reviews
- Ronald John (10/5): - Nicely laid out with good facilities in a pleasant location.
- Guest (9/5): I will definitely re-book Milestone House for family holiday. - Loved the bucolic location while still easily close enough for all services and places to visit. Second fan would have been useful. Refrigerator only, no freezer option - also heatwave related so not a major issue but we would have loved the ability to make ice.
- Robert (10/5): A great place to stay - This is a great self-catering place to stay in Somersham. It can cater for either a family of 4 (plus a cot if you have 2 kids plus a baby) or two couples. The Windmill pub nearby is a great place to eat if you get tired of making your own food! All the facilities look brand new and work properly (unusual for a B&B or self-catering place). NOTHING!
- Sharon (10/5): Very enjoyable stay. - Quirky and well laid out cottage in a peaceful location. Good transport routes. TV reception wasn't great but there was good WiFi.
- Lynsey (9/5): Superb -
- Steve (9/5): Practical, comfortable and spacious - Unusual layout with upstairs bedroom not accessible from downstairs on the inside, but very comfortable and spacious. Outside steps to the upstairs would benefit from a rain shelter
- Jilda (10/5): Exceptional - A quiet place, nature, clean air. The cleanest accommodation we have ever stayed. The kitchen was well equipped and the living room was spacious. Beds were very comfortable. It was also warm. The decoration was arty. Can't think of anything else.
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (9/5): Superb -
- Candy (8/5): A great cottage in a good location for us - Lovely spacious interior which was located very close to our family in Somersham. Milestone house provided a great base for our weekend at Burghley horse trials It’s not ideal having to access the main bedroom via a staircase outside.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Rebecca (10/5): Very peaceful. Such a beautiful location in the Fens. - Clean & well stocked with necessities. Felt very comfortable and welcoming. Having to leave :)
- Peter (8/5): Enjoyed very much - Very clean, good facilities, private, quiet, secure and safe car parking
- Colin (8/5): Excellent with minor niggles which didn't overly affect our stay - The location and general aspects of the property, cleanliness, spaciousness, attached dog-walking area for early and late dog walks. Although evident in some of the photos - it is not apparent or specified that one has to access the main first floor bedroom using an exposed outside staircase. In inclement weather or in general having to go outside to go to bed seems strange - luckily we were just a couple so we slept in the twin beds on the ground floor. On the domestic side, there is a lack of a wardrobe for clothes other than those which can go into drawers. There is also a lack of provision of cupboard space for food items such as cans, etc if you intend to do most of your cooking in the property. Although pans are supplied they are very large for the use by just two people. In the ground floor ensuite bathroom, which otherwise is very large with a great shower, it has a hand-basin the size of an A4 sheet of paper with a monstrous dual tap system in the middle which makes it very difficult to do anything other than wash your hands. For a weeks stay - a freezer would have been a better option than a washing machine. In common with other places we have stayed at - the property lacks the facility to hang up wet outdoor clothing and boots - which if you are using the property for daily extensive walks - is useful if you don't want to get the property wet and dirty. I know these are are all minor and very personal niggles - but I'm just bringing these to the attention of the owners - who may just take on board some of them to make an otherwise lovely property even better
- Denise (10/5): PERFECT - PERFECT LOCATION AND JUST BEAUTIFUL ACCOMODATION. GREAT FOR MY DOG ALSO
- Paul (8/5): Enjoyable stay.Clean and comfortable house - good location
Breakfast?not specified, but 2opened pa let's of cereal in cupboard An airer or washing line would have been useful
- John (10/5): Convenient location for Peterborough and Cambridge 30-40 mins drive, as well as Norfolk resorts. - Quiet and secluded location. Cottage in the grounds of host property. Village 1km away. Comfortable accommodation.
- Caroline (9/5): very spacious and comfortable stay in a good location. - spacious and great views over the fields seperate bedroom from the rest of the house
- Diane (9/5): We really enjoyed our stay and will recommend to our family and friends - Quiet location, lovely views of country side, a spacious property clean and comfortable. Nothing
