Guest Reviews
- Finley (9/5): Perfect for 1 night stay - Clean and nice Nothing
- Janet (7/5): -
- Thomas (10/5): -
- Pamela (6/5): Reasonably priced for the location but if the item’s above were rectified would definitely up the score and experience - Good location No Blind on the bathroom window
No wardrobe for hanging items
Hall skylight was unpleasant
You had to strip your own beds(first time I’ve ever been asked to do this)
- Buchanan (10/5): Pleasant comfortable stay in clean well equipped house. - Nothing.
- SALLY (8/5): Good for short stay, over night, on the way to somewhere. Very clean, great shower. Very convenient. - Could be a bit cosier in the living room such as a rug, as a bit clinical.
Also, could do with a few more equipment in the kitchen as this was a bit sparse.
- Richard (9/5): Super clean apartment. - Very clean. It was cold upon arrival and needed to switch on heating by our own.
- Innes (8/5): -
- maxine (6/5): Good for a short stay - Great shower. Comfy bed. Spacious. Nice garden area.
- Marko (10/5): -
- Mcneil (7/5): - Very good location for the dog Very spacious out bak door Good be having we electric fire could with moor kitchen estenchels frying pan to small
- Judi (9/5): REALLY FELT AT HOME HERE - GREAT STAY! - The property was easy to find. A 2 bedroom property with good kitchen, lounge & bathroom. Ideal for us, with our family living nearby in Auchterarder. There is a garden at the back of the property. Eing Christmas we were delighted to have a Christmas tree in the lounge to put our presents under.
Great having the Smiddy Haugh right opposite - a popular pub & restaurant. We had a lovely meal there on Christmas Eve.
The owner of the property we booked was very helpful, and kept in touch checking we had found the property/got access ok, etc, etc.
Would definitely stay there again. Nothing really bothered us, though it is right on a main street, and parking is just on the road. Was not too busy a road during our stay over Christmas, and we got parked close every time we came back to the property.
- Helen Mason (10/5): Perect stay, perfect hosts, great place to stay, thank you -
- Jodie (9/5): - Great value for money. Super comfy beds. Location was excellent -;pub across the road is brilliant and incredibly dog friendly. Just be aware that dogs can easily get onto the street from the garden. It wasn't an issue for us once we realised, we made sure we supervised them. Not a criticism of the property, simply something to be aware of.
- Rebecca (8/5): -
- Adam (10/5): Really lovely place, ideal location. - Great location, lovely and clean, central for our needs. It was really lovely, but, as we were up for a wedding we had lots of posh clothes but no wardrobes to hang them in.
- Hankin (8/5): Property was well equipped and spotlessly clean. - Adequate for our purpose which was as a stop over to holiday destination. Seating wasn't very comfortable but acceptable for our one night stop. Pillows require changing. On road parking although free could be hit and miss.
- Ali (8/5): - Everything was neat and clean. Nicely presented. Happy to stay here. I think the mattress to sleep is good, but its life is finished. It has a bend in it.
Bodywash was not present enough.
But these are minor things.
- Steven (9/5): Viewlands house - Enclosed garden for the dog, pub straight across the road. East parking and bus stop outside.
- EvaH (9/5): - Todo Nada
- Joan (10/5): Perfect stopover - Perfect for 1 night stopover while on way to NC500 Everything was ok , lovely pub / hotel across the road
- matthew (10/5): - The staff were excellent.we were at a wedding.the food was lovely and tge staff made it a exceptionally good day Absolutely nothing
- Christine (10/5): Angesichts des günstigen Preises waren wir sehr erstaunt, was alles dafür geboten wurde. Sehr gute R - Gute Parkmögl. Am Strassenrand
Schöner Back Garden
Moderne Einrichtung, Luxusausstattung
- Heather (7/5): Will definitely return - Great location. Great for 1 or 2 night stay. Loved the garden for the dog Pretty basic needed a few homely touches
- Christine (10/5): Enjoyable stay and hope to return - Spacious cottage. Very well laid out and really clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was fab. We had our dogs with us so the enclosed back garden was a real plus point. Opposite the pub that serves great food. Hope to return☺️ Nothing
- Gavin (10/5): - "Lovely Stay – Highly Recommend!"
I stayed for two nights in this charming 2-bedroom bungalow and had a great experience. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The location was convenient and peaceful, making it a perfect base. It was also excellent value for money. I would definitely return and highly recommend it to others!
- Andrew (9/5): Very good value for money, very clean throughout. - Code given very easy to pick up the keys .
- Dave (7/5): Ok. - Property clean and easy to find. Beds comfortable. Location. After a long drive we were desperate for a brew. Nearest shop was the Co-op a couple of miles away. A little bottle of milk or some little sachets would have been very welcome. TV didn't want to behave properly. Parking was on a busy main road. Additional £30 charge for a dog was excessive.
- Keith_a (9/5): Superb - Nice place very clean. Right opposite an excellent pub! Very good value. Very little.
- Claire (10/5): Wonderful. Great pub opposite! - Second visit here. Beautiful house and location. Everything spot on.
- Michiel (10/5): Short stay, father/son. Each had our own bedroom. There is a living room and a kitchen too. All comfi. - Lovely house, has al you need. Wrong question. Al was fine!
- Wendy (8/5): Very good -
- Gillian (9/5): Short and sweet. - Good selection of utensils and kitchen ware.
Bus service available into Auchterarder. Fresh milk would be nice.
No ice provided.
Difficult to get a taxi at short notice.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet location but pub over the road . Nothing
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Warren (8/5): Very good -
- Carole (9/5): Lovely, spotlessly clean, great value high standard vacation cottage. Highly recommend. - Lovely property, spotlessly clean. The number 19 bus from the Gleneagles train station stops right outside the cottage. The bus can also be caught right across the road to take you into the centre of Auchterarder where there are lovely cafes and shops. Bus fares really cheap.
The cottage has everything you need and is a very relaxing environment. There are board games and access to WiFi in addition to the TV. Although the pub across the road was closed the night we stayed we were able to order a takeaway to be delivered. The garden is lovely with good lighting at night. There is great support from the owner who responded to us straightaway when we messaged with a query. Check in is straightforward in that you are given a code for the key safe at the back door. In some ways it feels as relaxing as a home from home in a lovely high standard cottage. There is even a hairdryer in each of the two bedrooms. The bathroom has 3 neat dispensers in the shower for shampoo, conditioner and liquid soap as well as a soap dispenser over the hand sink. I highly recommend this vacation cottage. Great value. Lovely environment and well situated. Nothing
- Ahurbrui (9/5): Superb -
- Jeff (8/5): Enjoyable stay in a lovely part of the world. - Location right for our trip.
Clean and tidy. Very little not to like.
- Helen (9/5): Quiet location. Lovely local dog walking - Great location for one night stop over whilst heading north Nothing
- Helen (9/5): Superb -
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage was very homely, comfy beds, kitchen fully stocked with utensils & the house was spotless Not the owners fault, however the dishes (plates, bowls etc) had a few dirty marks - presumably from the previous guest/s not washing them correctly.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Neecx (10/5): Great place to stay - Excellent location, spacious home with all the facilities needed. Garden is a great size. Kitchen is well kitted out and shower is really great. Nice touch to have shampoo/conditioner available. Would definitely stay again. Mattress in the backroom is a bit worn and couldn't get the TV to turn on using the remote. The front door is really stiff and I struggled to open and close it. Took a while to find the lockbox when arriving, it's at the back of the property.
- Donna (9/5): Superb - Cosy house, with comfy beds & a good shower! Good communication from hosts.
- Alastair (10/5): Exceptional - Great stay, Would recommend
- Jan (8/5): Very good -
- Karen (9/5): Superb - Great enclosed garden for the dogs so we didn't have to worry when we let them out. Spacious bungalow . Very quiet neighbourhood. Great little shop/deli just up the street. Great big comfy beds. WiFi, Internet not great at times.
- Brian (8/5): Very good -
- Tish (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanne (9/5): Highly recommended - Perfect location. Easy to find. Easy parking. Near pub and shop. Dog friendly too with a secure garden. It was warm, cosy and the beds comfortable.
- Jacqueline (8/5): Lovely Stay - Spacious accomodation, spotlessly clean and tidy. Good stocked kitchen with everything you would need. Nothing
- Arlene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire-ann (10/5): Viewlands stay - It was clean. The beds were comfortable. Great shower. Clear instructions on check-in and out. Guide book with handy information. Everything was fine.
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lucy (10/5): Lovely clean modern house that satisfied all needs. Would stay again - Safe garden at the rear for kids to play in N/A
- Belinda (7/5): Good facilities, although house could do with some repairs. Kitchen tap/toilet roll holder. - House had suitable facilities and parking. Don’t think guests should be asked to strip the beds and put in laundry bags, empty bins and take to outdoor bins. Part of being on holiday, is not having to do this.
- Josiah (10/5): Relaxing, comfortable and at perfect location for me - Beautiful home Nothing
- Allan (9/5): Really enjoyed it. - Excellent location. Spotlessly clean. Excellent Wi-Fi. Suited our needs perfectly. One very minor complaint, but it was almost certainly my fault. I wanted to watch the news on the tv at 10 pm but couldn’t get the to to start.
- Kitija (10/5): Fantastic stay - Shower was fantastic. Great kitchen facilities and condiments were added bonus. Beds were very comfy too.
Easy accessible.
- Jackie (9/5): Only stayed one night as going to a show at Braco, everything was clean and comfy - Clean and comfortable
- Clare (8/5): Good value for money, and clean and well maintained. Good communication from host throughout. - Good location, easy on street parking. Clean and well maintained throughout £30 per night for one dog seemed quite expensive.
- Amanda (7/5): Good -
- Pauline (10/5): clean and spacious, lovely garden and very comfortable beds. -
- Steven (7/5): Good -
- Susan (9/5): Superb - Good location! Great pub just across the street.
- Claire (10/5): Cosy, comfy beds & ideal location off A9 - Perfect! Very homely and cosy. Beds huge!! Very well decorated and furnished. Nothing! Was spot on and there’s also a pub across the road so nothing to complain about!!
- Tracey (6/5): Just a stop through for one night. Not great value for money especially extra charges - Very Clean & Decorated to very high standard No allocated parking on arrival & hadn’t realised the location was on such a busy noisy Road as there were only photos of back of property. Sofas were not very comfortable at all. No tin opener. Were only here for the one night but had to pay additional charge of £30 for 2 dogs which seemed a lot as would have been same charge if we’d had been staying a week or more
- Ruth (8/5): Ideal as a stop off to break up our journey - Convenient, clean, good shower Parking, not much to see in village
- Lesley (10/5): Overnight on trip up north. - Everything . Superb accommodation. Spotless.
Soft bedding , comfortable beds, fluffy towels and nice toiletries. Grounds are beautiful and neighbours super. Our 2nd stay and hoping to be back next year. Oh and the tractor parade was great! Nothing, we wished we had longer.
- Christopher (7/5): Scotland - Clean, comfortable, good beds, good shower, central and quiet location. Batteries run out on heating control system.
TV picture occasionally froze/buffered. Neither of these were a major problem.
- Richard (8/5): Adequate, wouldn't stay again. - Great location. Beds very uncomfortable. Not enough light in the lounge. Bath towels very very thin, only good for the rag bag!
- Louise (10/5): Great facilities and parking, Wish i was staying longer. Ill definitely rebook in the future. - Very easy to access and enter property. Loved the parking right outside. Great facilities. We were only staying 1 night as were at a wedding, so really only slept at the property overnight. However the property is really well facilitated and I look forward to booking for longer in the future. Lovely hosts also. Great communication. nothing
- Warren (9/5): I will be back - Clean & simple Can’t think of anything
- Catriona (9/5): Superb -
- Philip (9/5): Superb -
- Christopher (9/5): Superb - Front bedroom would benefit from darker/blackout curtains. Traffic noise is a bit of an issue in the front bedroom.
- Morris (9/5): Superb -
- Philip (9/5): Just what we needed, where we needed it. - Location was fine for our needs, house was comfortable and had what we needed. Only very minor thing was shortage of loo rolls - easily rectified.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adrian (9/5): Great time - Comfortable, clean and warm. Handy for local amenities and places.
- Ann (9/5): Ideal property for family visiting. Beds were very comfortable and host extremely helpful. The house is modern and well - Very clean and comfortable
- Jones (10/5): Was only an overnight stay but would return for longer and would highly recommend. - All great had a wonderful stay Accomodation was excellent - hosts had thought of everything
- Angela (7/5): Fine for short break - House was good size & bedrooms where to of a good standard. I would'nt grade it as superb more very good. Livingroom bit basic could do with a rug & blind for the window. With the winter sun couldnt see television so had to sit with curtains closed. Also its at a bus stop so dog was barking as people right outside window. Again if there was a blind it would have helped with privacy. Everything else was fine.
- Kevin (10/5): Excellent well appointed property and great communication from property owner. - Excellent communications from the property owner: she answered all my questions speedily and gave full information. Very comfortable property with a good location, and all the equipment was easy to use. A handrail in the shower would have been helpful, as my balance isn't that good.
- Angela (9/5): Comfortable and relaxing place to stay. - Nice bungalow with everything needed for a short stay. Good little pub with pleasant atmosphere serving food over the road.
Host was extremely helpful with travel information and information about the property in advance and on the day of arrival. Parking was on the road - and with car loaded up for travel would have preferred off road parking - but it proved to be fine - and we were able to park on the road in front of the property.
- Janet (9/5): Great place to stay - Lovely house with everything you need in it. Great location to use going on days out, but also has local facilities close by. Second time staying and will go again Nothing
- Romualdas (9/5): Superb -
- Barbora (10/5): Exceptional - Great communication, beautifully and practically decorated. In kitchen all what needed. Perfect.
- Hukam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (9/5): This was a fantastic base for our trip to Scotland, would definitely stay again. - Great location, parking space out front, very clean, comfortable beds, well equipped and lovely garden. Poor WiFi
- Star69 (10/5): A great location and accommodation! - Great location. Easy access to Perth, Stirling and National Park.
The accommodation is superb. Victoria the host made us feel welcome.
We were grateful for the extra night, since we needed to friends around the area.
Fantastic views looking out towards the mountains. Garden great for doing a BBQ.
Highly recommend Viewlands self catering accommodation.
Will definitely be going back there again. N/A Everything was great.
- Wendy (10/5): Good for overnight stop if you're going to the Highlands. - Close to Perth centre where we found The Bothy, a lovely restaurant. Great views of the River Tay over the bridges. No hand soap in the bathroom. Probably an oversight so didn't affect my score.
- Fiona (8/5): We enjoyed our stay. - The huge comfortable beds and bed linen. The shower. The well equipped kitchen. The garden. The bar across the road for a bar meal. The furniture and the fifty shades of grey but that's just a matter of taste. The black leather sofas weren't particularly comfortable.
- Jack (9/5): Superb - Good modern, clean, comfortable accommodation with plenty utensils, etc. Nothing.
- Susan (6/5): Ok for a one night stopover - The property was a convenient stopover for our journey further into Scotland. The owner was easy to contact and the directions were clear. The front bedroom was very noisy due to te busy road. The property was clean and tidy, I’m glad we weren’t booked in for longer.
We searched for a dog friendly property and this one came up, along with a price, we were only informed after we’d booked that we had to pay £30 for the dog. I understand that at times we pay t have the dog with us, but this should have been clear at the time of booking, not afterwards.
- Billy (10/5): Perfect - Didn’t have breakfast All good
