Guest Reviews
- Aldo Pi (8/5): Sosta a Dana - Posizione magnifica. Buona la cena. La strada per arrivare
- Sarah (10/5): Schöner Ausblick, sehr freundlicjes Personal! - Mega schöner Ausblick!
Sehr freundliches Personal!
Sehr leckeres Frühstück und Essen!
Ruhige Lage!
- Diana Lynn (4/5): - The view is spectacular Price value is not there. 3 star accommodation for a 5 star price. Food plentiful but just average. Asked for a short hike before dinner and the recommended a short walk that was littered with garbage and had many stray dogs (heartbreaking) following us. Most hikes were closed Do not recommend.

- Julian (6/5): - Amazing views and lovely helpful staff Very tired and food was not good given the cost
- Renaud (10/5): Excellent séjour, dans un superbe cadre. - L'hotel est idéalement situé et la vue y est extraordinaire. La salle de restauration est un peu froide et bruyante.
- Jennifer (8/5): Great weekend getaway from Amman! - Great location and view, beautiful showers with good water pressure (and good towels!), comfortable beds and the dinner was good too. I really liked the concept of using the clay jugs to refill water in the rooms instead of individual plastic bottles The breakfast starts a bit too late for me (8am) and no coffee in the room- only tea.
- Kamini (10/5): We had a lovely trip - perfect if you are looking to hike or read and relax with a view or mix both! Really lovely locat - Amazing location with a spectacular view over the Dana Biosphere
- Celine (10/5): Breathless! - We had a wonderful stay at the Dana Guest House. One of the best experience of our life, all the staff is here to make you feel at home, with authenticity and generosity. The view on the Dana Reserve is breathless, especially as you can even enjoy it from your shower! The home-made diner was amazing with a lot of choice. And Salem was an incredible host, with great advices and always paying attention to us. If you come to Jordan, you should not miss this place ! Nothing, all was above expectations
- Hanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stella (8/5): Spectacular views in a beautiful bioreserve - Location is spectacular, all the rooms seem to have terraces overlooking the most beautiful mountain view. Rooms are simply furnished, and comfortable. We enjoyed the buffet dinner and breakfast.. Overall, a very special place to visit and to see a new hotel with architecture that fits so well in the natural environment. Makes a great stop before or after visiting Petra as it is only one hour’s drive away. Since many rooms had shared bath, the only thing to change would be to oil the doors. It was extremely noisy to leave the room in the night, meaning everyone in the room was woken up. I probably would have booked en suite rooms if I had noticed the shared bathroom, so this wouldn’t have been a problem.
Only other thing is that the internet wasn’t great in the rooms, and while this may be due to the remote location, it could have been communicated better. For example, there were wifi options that worked better than the one we were told about.
- Caroline (5/5): Disappointing - Loved the view! I understand it was the end of Ramadan but the food was not good - in fact the chicken dish was cold - no warmers were put under the food and we were ready when the food came out of the kitchen. Breakfast and dinner both very disappointing at the price we paid. But worse than the food was the lack of cleanliness in our room! The hotel is very tired and needs a thorough clean. Staff were just not interested or sleeping and no idea what their jobs were. WiFi a shambles too!
- Mutaz (9/5): Superb -
- Ian (5/5): Great location but very overpriced - Great location for hiking, perched over the valley below. Rooms, balcony and public veranda both large and fantastic spaces - also view from shower was pretty cool. Breakfast and dinner very generous but also wasteful. The price was very high for what you got, the service was not good and only seemed interested in add-on charges - extortionate guide fees and transport costs quoted. Communication was bad regarding breakfast and lunch choices and the fact that breakfast was fixed at 8am and not from.
- Michael (10/5): Amazing customer service, stunning views and delicious food. I highly recommend. - Great view, location, and fantastic staff.
- Claudia (8/5): Very good -
- Susan (9/5): Worth it for the views alone. But please mangers love this amazing place more. - The location and views from the room are stunning. The food was pretty good. Adjacent shop selling locally made goods is great. Environmental ethic admirable. The whole place felt like it needed to be loved a little more. It felt a bit like staying in a hostel.
- Philip (9/5): Beautifull but remote location. People are very friendly. Rooms are spacieus. - The guesthouse is in a beautifull location.
The view from the room is stunning.
Food was lovely.
- Alison (8/5): Very good -
- Rachel (8/5): Great view, not much besides - The view. the staff were really nice, friendly and helpful. The free water from the water fountains. I think if you can afford the delux room then this property would be okay but if you don’t get the delux room you are paying quite a bit of money for basically a hostel with a view. The shared female toilet door did not have a lock. There was no hand soap. The room was dusty and had ants. The beds were very noisey as well as the air conditioning. Breakfast isn’t great. Dinner is expensive 15JD per person but it is hard to get any information about where else to eat. The balcony also had not been cleaned - cigarette butts and the furniture outside was falling apart.
- Birthe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional - Stunning property - great views / location and staff
- Merrily (10/5): Exceptional - The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Everything was memorable.
- Alexandre (10/5): Exceptional -
- Van (7/5): Great location for discovering the Dana valley - Great location and architecture of the accommodation.
Nice dinner as well. Very lousy hygiene, bathroom could've used some cleaning, as well as the room.
- Judy (5/5): Good, the most famous place to stay but quite expensive for what it is. Better places out there - Top location in the Dana village.
This is the most famous place to stay and white beneficiate the monopoly of the place as this property looks more like a hotel.
The room are big and the VIEW is the INCREDIBLE!!! Little bonus for the view from the shower.
There is also a very nice balcony from the main restaurant to enjoy the sunset.
Good and spacious room, with all amenities included such as toiletries, towel, kettle, tea, coffee and you can refill your bottle of water from the self served bottle tank.
Bathroom: toiletries provided, towels and good hot water with pressure which is a highlight when you go to Dana like us in December.
Lovely staff, very friendly, with a good English. Too expensive for what is it to be honest.... The room is over 100JOD with breakfast included.
Dinner was a buffet with a good selection of food but quality is average for the price.
Breakfast was way too basic.....
There are more less famous places out there for cheaper and better value for Money ( Dana sunset camp for example was our best stay in Jordan thanks to the staff and the quality of the food for the cheap price)
- Gregor (8/5): Very good -
- Josep (4/5): Disappointing -
- Pat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martha (8/5): Stunning view but expensive add-ons - The view and the balcony were incredible. I transferred my luggage to Feynan while I walked, which cost 53JD. I got talking to another group while walking, who had also transferred their luggage at the same time. My luggage was taken with theirs in the same vehicle, so being charged separately felt like a bit of a fleece, as with a lot of things in Jordan, sadly. Shame the hotel didn't split the actual cost of transfers between guests rather than charging everyone separately.
- Mohammad (10/5): Amazing - everything specially the views and staff Poor breakfast
- Ana (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (9/5): Peaceful, quiet, great staff, AC!, incredible views from our room - Nice range of local foods
