• Caitlin (10/5): A beautiful rejuvenating few days by the lake and surrounding mountains. - Incredible location less than a hundred steps from the lake, and perfect base to explore this stunning part of Italy! Walking distance to everything you could need, including gelato! An easy 6 minute stroll from the station, less than an hour by train from Milan. I will definitely be back! Wasn’t perfect for remote working. A little table to be able to work from in the room would have been handy, and a functioning umbrella for the garden to provide shade.

• Sarina (9/5): - Mooie, comfortabele en heel propere kamer met ruime badkamer. Rustige maar toch zeer gunstige ligging, vlakbij het treinstation en de ferry. Zelf-check-in ging gemakkelijk dankzij de vlotte communicatie. Enige kleine minpuntje: het bijhorende restaurant was gesloten, waarschijnlijk aangezien het nog geen echt hoogseizoen was, maar dit was niet duidelijk aangegeven voordien. Daardoor heb ik geen enkel personeel gezien, maar de zelf check-in ging heel vlot, en er zijn genoeg andere eetopties in de buurt!

• Stefania (10/5): - La camera è molto spaziosa, luminosissima, pulita e dotata del necessario, molto apprezzata la zona per caffè e bevande calde messe a disposizione. Il bagno è grande e con una doccia molto bella. L'edificio è completamente ristrutturato e posizionato in pieno centro e a pochi metri dall'imbarco dei battelli per il lago. Spero di ritornare e sicuramente lo consiglio.

The room was nice but not soundproof and the bed was not the most comfortable but overall it was a good stay.

• Elizabeth (7/5): The Quieter side of Lake Como - The location was close to the lake and an easy walk to the station. The small studio was comfortable and modern with a fridge, coffee machine and kettle. We liked the village very much - quiet and with friendly people and easy to explore the area by train and ferry but very crowded in the weekends even in March. It was also easy to take a train to Tirano and onward by the Bernina Express to Chur in one day. We had been allocated a top storey apartment but found it was 3 stories up with the 3rd staircase having open and steep and narrow steps. The owner could only offer the small studio which we accepted as another guest started to take our heavy cases but wasn't going to be around to take them down when we left. Probably our fault for not checking.

The room was quite compact and there were too many stairs to carry luggage up, before reaching the main door. Difficult to find a parking spot. No breakfast "included "option available I didn't like the request to do the check in days in advance of our arrival , while we were travelling.

• Ilona (8/5): - Stan, jakość i czystość pokoju oraz lokalizacja. Wszystko było bardzo zadbane, nowe. Z obiektu w kilka minut dotrzesz na dworzec oraz do kawiarni. Zaraz obok obiektu jest przepiękne nabrzeże nad jeziorem, przepiękne, spokojne poranki! Bardzo ciemny pokój. Brak zasięgu oraz totalnie niedziałające Wi-fi (fakt ten został zgłoszony obsłudze, ale nie zostały podjęte żadne działania). Bliskość dzwonów kościoła - jeśli chcesz wypoczywać i pospać dłużej niż 7:30, musisz wiedzieć, że w środku tygodnia o 7:30 biją głośne i długie dzwony.

Das Restaurant direkt unter dir nicht gerade lecker, dafür extrem übertrieben teuer...kein Wort englisch..kein Wort DEUTSCH..ausschließlich italienische Sprache...

It was in a great location right by the ferry station. Very easy to access the room with a code and the view was very cute from the courtyard. The bell tower was loud since it was right next to the hotel.

If you like simple, quiet charm, Mandello del Lario is lovely and the location and ambience of Locanda Alberti is perfect. The church bell was literally right outside our window and it tolls at 7:30 AM. If sleeping-in is part of your vacation plan,, bring ear plugs.

• Klaus (5/5): Extrem schlechtes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis für Zimmer ohne Umfeld - Das Zimmer war modern und ordentlich eingerichtet. Das Bett war gut. Das grosse Bad mit der schönen Dusche hat uns gefallen. Das Zimmer liegt über dem Restaurant, und ist über eine Aussentreppe direkt von der Strasse aus zu erreichen. Es gibt keine Rezeption, keinen Aufenthaltsraum usw. Bei unserer Ankunft hat es stark geregnet. Nach öffnen der Zimmertür über den per whatsapp mitgeteilten Key steht man beim betreten keine 2 m vor dem Bett. Das Wasser unserer Schirme und Jacken bildete sofort eine Pfütze bis zum Bett. Als wir im Restaurant nach einem Tisch fragten, und die fällige Übernachtungssteuer bezahlen wollten, wurden wir resolut abgewiesen mit der Begründung einer geschlossenen Gesellschaft. Diese war dan auch bis spät deutlich vernehmbar. Vor allem als die Gäste dann in der Nacht in ihre Zimmer zurück kehrten. Alles ist sehr hellhörig, und jeder Schritt im darüber liegenden Zimmer über deutlich zu hören. Eigentlich wollten wir einen weiteren Tag verlängern sind dann aber in ein richtiges Hotel umgezogen. Fazit: ordentliches Zimmer aber ohne Merkmale eines Hotels. Gestresstes und überfordertes Personal am Eingang des Restaurants. Für das Zimmer ohne Frühstück und Background mit über 200€/Nacht viel zu teuer.

• Anastasiia (10/5): Loved my stay! - Wonderful accommodation - clean, cosy, stylish and modern, has a lovely communal terrace for your morning coffee (shame I was not lucky with the weather to enjoy it ). Staff very responsive, friendly and accommodating. Right next to the lake. Would come back, thank you. Everything was perfect. WiFi was not working one of the evenings but I believe this was due to the really stormy weather on that night.
