Guest Reviews
- Jade (1/5): Do not stay here - The lady at the property was very nice and agreed for us to cancel the remaining nights. When we arrived, the room was full of damp and mould and had many flies on the ceiling and bathroom.
Beds were uncomfortable.
Strong smell of drains and lots of loud maintenance work.
The son who runs his own tour business from the same place also sold us a trip which was supposed to be 6 hours and we only had 2 hours. He admitted he was wrong and apologised. However, he still demanded the full payment and was very rude.
- Martial (9/5): Superb -
- Rhoda (5/5): Ideal for young nomads who like camping - Nice host, good breakfast. Toilet smelled the whole time we were there. Steep muddy paths that the hire car struggled to navigate. Guest info left on the outdoor table lacked privacy/security. Surrounds we’re in a state of construction.
- Barbara (1/5): Mafia run under construction loud filthe bug ridden mold dinghy electric failure, no hot water - not far from restaurants and bars if you don’t mind walking on very difficult road Are the staff did not care at all about the comfort or peace or needs of guests. We were supposed to receive breakfast which we never did, they stuff threatened our Uber driver because they run a taxi service where they charge 300% more for rides, obviously the owner works with the mafia that runs the tuk-tuk taxi business, it was filthy with bugs of the lighting was very dim and difficult to see very overpriced for what you get difficult to get to the property was under extreme construction with loud banging noise starting from seven in the morning it was filthy and moldy and smelly smelled disgusting ricardi up alive with the bugs very difficult to walk two cars could barely drive down the street to access the hotel. The dogs barking all throughout the day and night, that had to be rude and not hospitable complete rip off the most disgusting place. We’ve stayed at so far. No hot water, electricity continually went out, barely any water coming out of shower demanded cash only payment
- Formescze (8/5): Very good - Nice accommodation a short distance from the center of Ella. Little Adam's Peak is easily reachable on foot. Just a short walk from the train station. The owner runs a laundry service, so she washed our clothes, which was very helpful after our long journey. Excellent breakfast with a smile. The room was quite damp, but that was pretty much everywhere because it rained both evenings... :( Our stay happened to fall on the weekend, and there was a party next door on Friday and Saturday night until the morning, but that's not the owners' fault.
- Nalaka (8/5): Very good - Nice breakfast! Hot water wasn't working properly in one room. Sink was clogged in the other room.
- Larissa (9/5): Very happy with this homestay and I recommend - Great location. Comfy bed. Nice family. Good breakfast. No hassle. Helped either airport transfer.
- Anna (10/5): Nice stay in Ella - Nice and clean accomodation, delicious breakfast, tuk tuk, laundry in the homestay, perfect quiet place in the center, terrace with flowers… Kind owners.
- Нирошан (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (8/5): Good location and kind host - Our host was so lovely and made us the most delicious breakfast and dinner. The location was really good (5 minute walk into town) The door is a little strange with just a little padlock on it.
- Dr. (8/5): Very good -
- Jonathan (9/5): Great option in Ella - The room is tucked away behind the owner's house. We were in the family room. It was very comfortable with nice furnishings and a patio where we could sit with a table for eating. We had breakfast which was OK. We liked being able to walk into Ella. We really liked Raha's restaurant on the corner and Priya's cookery school. Our children loved making friends with Tango the pomeranian. The bathroom smelt a bit. The homestay doesn't have a sign so had to ask around to find it.
- Catherine (10/5): Wonderful home stay - Lovely clean and comfortable rooms hosted by the loveliest family ever. Really wonderful home cooked food, fantastic tuk tuk trips just an all round great experience. Incredible value for money!
- Mileska (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect. Very clean, good location, comfortable beds, friendly owner, and amazing breakfasts 😊
- Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional -
