• Anton und Annina (6/5): Spezielle, eher einfache Unterkunft mit netten Leuten. - Eine spezielle Unterkunft. Von aussen eine fröhliche „Bretterbude“ mit Innenhof. Sehr nette und interessierte Menschen. Grosse und schön eingerichtete Zimmer. Bad war leider dauernd überschwemmt,weil das Wasser nicht abfliessen konnte.

• Corrado (10/5): - Ho avuto il piacere di soggiornare presso l’Hotel Philosophia in Turchia e posso dire senza esitazioni che è stata un’esperienza davvero positiva. Uno degli aspetti che mi ha colpito di più è stata l’accoglienza: il personale si è dimostrato estremamente gentile, disponibile e attento alle esigenze degli ospiti. Nonostante un imprevisto legato al maltempo, siamo arrivati molto presto al mattino, intorno alle 5, e siamo stati comunque accolti con grande cortesia, permettendoci di fare il check-in senza alcun problema. Questo gesto ha fatto davvero la differenza e dimostra una grande professionalità. La posizione dell’hotel è un altro punto di forza: è perfetta per raggiungere comodamente il Castello di Uchisar e visitare le meraviglie della zona circostante. Ideale quindi sia per chi vuole esplorare sia per chi cerca relax in un contesto suggestivo. Infine, la colazione tradizionale è stata un vero piacere: ricca, genuina e perfetta per iniziare la giornata con energia, permettendo anche di assaporare i gusti tipici locali. In sintesi, consiglio vivamente l’Hotel Philosophia a chiunque voglia vivere un soggiorno piacevole, all’insegna dell’ospitalità e della comodità.

• Thomas (10/5): Would definitely return! - Everything was great. I just wish I had stayed longer. It was great value for a beautiful private room and bathroom (but it was the winter season). Uçhisar is a great place, much better to stay there than goreme in my opinion. The hostel is a 5 min walk to the main street and bus station so it's easy to get around but it is essentially in a residential area. Although I was there in the winter, not many people were there, and everyone was in private rooms, there was a common area and some community - even an evening spent with other guests around a fire in the garden. So it has a bit of the social vibe you normally find in hostels not hotels. Most of all the owner Kamil a really nice guy who was welcoming and fun but also very interesting to talk to and knowledgeable about the area and Turkish archeology. He's a guide so will help you get the most out of your time in Cappadocia Definitely recommended
• Gennaro (8/5): Bellissima struttura, sicuramente diversa dal classico albergo, location ottima. - I due volontari inglesi che ci hanno accolto la sera che siamo arrivati sono stati adorabili. Il proprietario ha cercato di darci svariati consigli anche se non era un momento facile per lui. Magari in un altro periodo saremmo rimasti ancora piu' soddisfatti. Dietro l'angolo c'e' un supermercato grande cosi' come tanti ristoranti ottimi, House of Memories, suggeritoci dal proprietario dell'albergo Kamil, e' veramente buonissimo, con un proprietario molto simpatico e accogliente. Il cafe' Coffee Time un altro posto dove andare, ottimo caffe', ottima cheesecake, gentilissima la ragazza al banco. La colazione e' stata buona ma si puo' fare sicuramente di piu'. L'attenzione alle cose che possono mancare in camera, sapone o qualche asciugamano in piu', sarebbero stati apprezzati, anche se su richiesta abbiamo ricevuto cio' che ci serviva.

• Kerrin (5/5): Not my favourite - The room was a very good size, breakfast was included. I've been travelling full-time for quite a while & I have stayed in a variety of hostels, guesthouses & private rooms- all for a similar price or cheaper. I would say that this place doesn't quite stack up against the places I've stayed in so far - for quality or attentiveness. There are lots of overdue maintenance issues, the bed was extremely lumpy & uncomfortable (you could feel the springs ), the rug in the room needs to be thrown out or burnt (it's definitely seen better days), lots of patch up jobs that don't really work. The manager is very nonchalant & sister races around working very hard. Sorry, I'm not in the habit of giving bad reviews - but I didn't particularly like it & not sure how it got such a high rating.

• Kat (10/5): - Everything - it's bohemian style, view to the garden, roof top with view around valley. Simple but lovely breakfast. Big room with big bathroom. Lovely location. Lovely hosts. It's the best place when you want to truly relax after days of exploring the area. Close to Göreme. Very clean with lovely atmosphere plus great price :). I could check in earlier and stay a bit longer on my last day while waiting for transport to airport. I loved everything here ♥️
• Niem (10/5): Great place to stay in Cappadocia - What a lovely place to stay. I got an upgrade so that was unexpected and I really appreciated. Hot water was good. Great comfy surrounding. Easy walk to Uchisar Castle and a ride away from Georme. Nothing.

Aunque nos planeamos alojarnos en Göreme, fue un acierto decantarnos por Uçhisar. La ubicación del hotel nos pareció perfecta, con restaurantes cerca mucho más baratos, a 10 minutos andando del castillo y de la parada de bus que conecta los principales pueblos.

• Derya (10/5): Super fijn! - Mijn gehele verblijf! Ik vond het zo leuk om te zien hoe iedereen bij elkaar kwam. En dat als ik iets maar dan ook iets nodig had, dat het meteen werd geregeld. Ik ben dankbaar voor deze bijzondere tijd.

It seems to me the grounds of the hotel could be improved significantly with only a moderate amount of effort. Room needs a chair...only place to sit was the bed. Breakfast was very basic. • May (10/5): Cozy, quality accomodation - Really great facilities. We were there for an unseasonably cold spring and the heating was incredible! Philosophy has the relaxed vibe of a homestay with the high end quality room facilities of a hotel. The couple that run the accommodation together are very friendly, speak several languages between them, and are happy to assist with any balloon bookings or hike advice. Very authentic people. Would absolutely stay again.
• Barbara (9/5): Lovely place in Uchisar - I had a good time staying here for a week. Kamil the owner is very attentive, considerate and helpful. Rooms/washrooms are very clean, heat in the room and towel warmer in the washroom kept it cosy. Lots of hot water.The various tours will pick you up from here; there are good restaurants close by as well as convience stores and fruit market. The bus to Goreme is very easy to get and the Castle is a short walk away. You can watch the balloons from the back of the castle. Other guests were very noisy, not the fault of the hotel.

• Vladislav (10/5): amazing - I was lucky to get to this property. First I thought to find something in Goreme, but since it was a day before I was coming, everything was booked. So found this place in Uçhisar. First of all, that is much better city to stay in, if you go to Cappadocia, since Goreme is too busy and looks like a Mall :D Second, the hotel is very nice place close to everything but quite enough and has a lots of parking space around. They have really stylish rooms, nice garden and facilities. And I was lucky to meet some lovely stuff that was volunteering by that time. And the owner Camille is a really nice person. Also he is professional guide, and can help you with things around Definitely will come here again! there is nothing I can point on

• Léan (10/5): Philosophy Hotel made our trip - The staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I made a mistake with my booking, but they were immediately finding a solution for me and my friend who was travelling with me. Also they provided us with lots of helpful information about Capadocia and the infrastructure. The atmosphere was very chill and we could feel, that the staff was very motivated to help us, make our trip as enjoyable as possible. I could feel, that the staff have been travelling themselves and therefore understand travellers needs well. Also the rooms were very beautiful, spacious and creatively decorated and I liked the home made breakfast, which added a lot to the homely feeling. I think Philosophy Hotel was one of my best stays so far.

Since it used to be a hostel, the hotel has a very warm and community-like atmosphere where most guest sit and chat in the garden during their stay. Kamil seems like a world traveller who happens to own a hotel and who is full of fun stories. Make also sure to give Rafi, the owners dog, a good scratch, she appreciates it.
• Tamara (9/5): lovely + cat - We loved that there were so many animals on the property - a dog named Rafi and lots of cuddly kitties. The host was also very helpful and friendly. The bungalow we stayed in was cozy. The breakfast could use some improvements, especially the bread which was a bit dry.
• Erica (10/5): A peaceful and wholesome couple of nights at the coolest hotel ever! - This hotel was very unique and the owner was super nice and attentive. The owner is an experienced traveler himself and has really created a peaceful oasis in Uchisar for other travelers. He also encouraged guests to chat with each other at breakfast and make new friends. I really like this. Breakfast was very yummy. The area was very quiet and alway from all the tourist noise. I had a great time. Nothing to complain about.

• Mia (10/5): Community-like stay - We had a wonderful stay at Philosophy Hotel (“Hotel Philosophia” on maps). Our host, Kamil, was warm and helpful throughout our stay. He helped us organise many of our booked activities and chatted with us in the evenings. The provided breakfast was plentiful and included fresh fruits from their garden. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable - not to mention very beautiful. The location is surrounded by a number of local restaurants, is walking distance to Uçhisar Castle, and allows easy access to other towns by car. On two nights during our stay, Kamil also cooked up a communicable BBQ dinner! We would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a lovely community feeling.

The place is spotless, and it's clear he takes great care of his house. He even helps book attractions at a good price. I definitely recommend staying here! Everything was perfect !

He provided me with the best guidance of hot air balloon tours & tours for Goreme. He was very helpful and accommodating towards all our needs. • Raham (10/5): Excellent - Location is very good, situated in a quiet street yet walkable to attraction, Uchisar Castle, there was plenty of restaurants too in few meters away. Room and Toilet is very clean, shampoo gels and lotion were provided. We like that the room is spacious for us to open luggages. The Breakfast is great! It's a good value for what we have paid for. And of course the management who runs the hotel, who are all friendly and smiling to us. Kamil is a great guy, he welcomed us dearly and he speaks good English so it was easy for us. He managed to arrange transport for us and prompt in response to everything we ask for. Thanks for all the help! There are trees around the hotel but its not yet the season to bloom when we visited, for sure it will be nice.
