• Andrew (8/5): Gorgeous cottage in the perfect location. - The cottage was lovely. The location is perfect for having a short break in Whitby, it’s really central but tucked away from the hustle and bustle so it was very peaceful. The features and amenities of the cottage made it a very comfortable stay, the beds were like sleeping on clouds and the fire was a nice touch in the living room. We arrived quite late and had a cold first night due to us not knowing how to switch the heating on. (They all need turning on individually by a switch under the radiators) The cottage seemed clean and tidy but we did have a surprise of finding all the plates and cups in the dishwasher the first morning and they hadn’t been cleaned. This meant we ended up having to wash all the last guests stuff before we could make breakfast. Everything else was spotless so obviously just an oversight I presume.

• Rachael (10/5): Fabulous little cottage in the heart of Whitby! - Seascape cottage is perfectly located and extremely comfortable, the beds were amazing. Loved the cottage, it was so cute and cosy, and it is in the ideal spot for enjoying Whitby. Nothing to dislike
• Bernadette (5/5): Great location, quirky cottage but needs attention. - The location was good. The complementary prosecco was very welcome. The owners kindly let us access the property early. Neither my husband nor myself are very mobile so climbing up the 14 steps with no handrail was difficult. Many of the steps were covered with weeds which could prove hazardous when wet. Plus, the outside lighting wasn't very good when coming back on the evening time. Although first impressions were that it looked nice and clean, closer inspection found many cobwebs in corners of the ceilings, dusty skirting boards, fireplaces and shelves. The whole property would benefit from a deep clean and attention to detail. It could be a lovely, quirky place to stay once thoroughly cleaned.

There was four of us with one bathroom. Path could have been better lit on a night upto the cottage

• Richard (10/5): Perfect hideaway tucked away in the old part of Whitby - Perfect little hideaway just off the Main Street in the old part of Whitby. Seascape Cottage is very roomy, has beautiful decor, and everything there for a wonderful break. Bedrooms were large and airy, with very comfy beds.

• Dave (10/5): Exceptional - Stunning little cottage in the heart of Whitby. This place has everything you need & is very tastefully decorated with beautiful fixtures & fittings and super comfy beds! We stay in Whitby often, and this is by far the best place we have stayed so far!!

• Sophie (10/5): A truly wonderful weekend away. - We had the best stay at Seascape Cottage. The location is so central and yet totally peaceful, there are so many lovely places nearby. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and so comfortable, especially the beds. Will definitely be back!

Perfect area to be in, close to everything. Did struggle with parking nearby, but was able to sort that out. Would definitely stay again we loved it thank you x

Lovely touches with games, books, blankets etc, as well as milk and prosecco on arrival. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again. Leaving! An 11am checkout would have been nice as standard (However, there was the option to checkout at 12 for an additional fee of £25)

• Beatrice (10/5): Exceptional - Perfectly situated in the center of whitby. Street parking to unload can be a little awkward but you are able to street park. Walk up the cut through and up about 10 steps.
• Phil (10/5): Small but perfectly formed - The cottage is small, but perfectly formed, and has everything you need for a great stay, even an initial provision of tea and milk. We went for new year, and the gorgeous lit up Christmas tree greeted us, and so did a bottle of Prosecco. The beds are very comfy, although the stairs are winding, maybe not so good for the infirm, and there are 15 steps up to the cottage, but then you're straight into the middle of the old town, excellent position. I was in the cottage 5 minutes when I bashed my head on the 'stuck out' wall over the toilet, spent the rest of our visit sitting down to wee, so watch out those who are tall, haha.

• Edward&shannon (9/5): We had a delightful stay and look forward to returning on our next visit to Whitby - Seascape Cottage is in a superlative location, right in the historic centre of Whitby but tucked away from the hustle and bustle on a quiet side street. This makes it perfect for exploring while also being a relaxing bolthole. The property is characterful and has been sympathetically decorated while offering modern conveniences that make it comfortable. We almost wished for a rainy day so we could stay indoors and enjoy the property more, like reading in the cosy sitting room -- the provided books were varied and included several on local history. The exterior seating area is charming and makes the most of the space, just like the rest of the property. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathtub was ideal for a relaxing soak. The host communicated clearly and promptly, and was helpful in providing requested information. We wish we could have stayed longer!

• John (10/5): A hidden delight of a property in a quirky town with easy access to everything touristy! - The central location was fabulous, it was extremely well presented, and the welcome information was extensive and fabulous. There was plenty to keep children entertained and also safe, and such a cosy aesthetic to keep the adults happy. Will definitely look to book again in the future! Nothing!

• Judith (10/5): Comfortable ,stylish and convenient. - The extra touches were very thoughtful such as milk being provided for our arrival and a fab bottle of Prosecco. The cottage is both stylish and quirky It is so comfortable and we all felt ourselves relax whilst there. It is also very convenient to access all of Whitby . Nothing it was all amazing. Maybe a grab handle on the wall outside the front door just so people with slightly impaired mobility ,eyesight and balance can steady their selves stepping up and down the front door step. It’s not a huge problem but would have aided one of our party and we think would be useful adddition.
