Beautiful garden Needs more storage space in the bathroom but James is getting it done soon
- Caroline (9/5): -
- Hermione (9/5): Beautiful cottage & Great Service from James - This is a beautiful place. The only thing is that the front door had no curtain, so from outside you can see right in. Also, it's a little enclosed by the front door. As it was just me and my daughter it was a little scary driving in to the end of the lane then going by the front door which is at the back. I did feel unsafe. James was brilliant. Answered all my questions very promptly.
- Keven (10/5): - Really nice staying here. Working in the area and being in a house away from home always helps everything we needed and hosts kindly.left us a couple of drinks and some cookies. Everything we needed in the house. Very comfortable and a quiet location with parking for a transit custom sized van. Everything was perfect. đ
- Tony (10/5): James, the host, kept great communications before and after our stay. Love the âhandbookâ on how everything works. Clean - Clean, spacious,. Loved the little TV room. End of lane, so private and located for easy access to town centre Unable to think of anything to put here
- Vyvyan (9/5): - Very comfortable and well equipped home. Great location and good facilities in the local area. Wouldnât hesitate to recommend.
- Roger (10/5): -
- Darren (9/5): - Everything
The gifts that was left for us were lovely after a long trip
- Neil (10/5): - James from the letting agency was super helpful before and during the stay. We noticed the clothes horse was damaged and he immediately arranged for a replacement. There were fresh flowers and snacks on the table when we arrived, a very nice gesture
- Guest (8/5): Peaceful & cozy - Complete amenities in the kitchen made us enjoy cooking. Available netflix account access gives us plenty of time to enjoy the show.
- Kim (10/5): Cosy and Comfy - We like that the place has a kitchen with dining area and a separate living room with a roomy sofa. It was nice sitting cosily on the sofa watching TV in the evening. The warm beds made sleeping comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped and the washing machine is a plus. None that we can think of.
- Rachel (10/5): A beautiful and clean homely hideaway! - We all loved how it was such a quirky little home from home! Hideaway Cottage was beautifully presented, clean and comfortable.
Everything we needed was there, and if we had any questions then the owner James was more than helpful!
It was great to have an outside space and dedicated parking.
Arriving to find fresh flowers on the table, beer and milk in the fridge as well as bonus snacks was a massively kind and much appreciated gesture.
The location was great to explore Bristol and the surrounding areas but also a quiet location when in the property itself.
We left wishing we had booked a few more nights stay, and would happily return! For us, there was nothing we would say we didnât like!
- Sally (10/5): A lovely peaceful place to stay. Highly recommend. - A lovely, well kept Cottage.
Private parking outside the Cottage.

- Rakesh (8/5): Very good -
- Ruth (7/5): Good - A true hideaway! Modern and cosy. Plenty of space to work as well as socialise in the large kitchen. Bathroom being downstairs - the staircase was steep and narrow. My mother (late seventies) wasn't able to manage the stairs at night and slept on a foldaway bed downstairs - not ideal as it was just inside the main entrance and visible through the front door (see photos)
- Jacquelinejacqui (10/5): Exceptional - Warm and cozy cottage, fresh flowers on arrival a lovely touch! Everything was great.
- Marc (10/5): Excellent place to stay - Clean and tidy with everything you need. Nothing
- Shun (6/5): Pleasant -
- Julie (10/5): Peaceful and well equipped - Peaceful and perfectly equipped Bathroom location but wasnât a problem in the end.

This property is perfect! Decent size rooms, lovely kitchen / diner, perfect size bathroom & lounge! Bonus is the garden area with a patio and table & chairs.

- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - Amazingly cosy but stylish, every possible appliance you would need, all cutlery and crockery for home cooking if you want, spotless, fresh roses on arrival. Heating works well and is easily controlled. All suggestions for improvement from past visitors have been evaluated and many implemented. Great communication from host. Nothing! All absolutely perfect. The pictures don't do it justice - way so much better!
- Moiya (9/5): A great little hideaway - Modern , clean, small garden, lovely welcome package, quiet, books to read, good tv with plenty of programmes. Comfortable furniture, everything you need in the kitchen plus extras. Host quick to reply to queries. The quilt on the double bed was a double we prefer a kingsize quilt.
The towels were good quality bath towels we prefer the larger bath sheets. But these are personal preferences.
- Pratt (9/5): We absolutely loved the Cottage, secluded but was beautifully designed and fitted - Not a B&B The single bed
- Richard (10/5): Clean and comfortable - Stayed here for a week and all was good. Very clean and comfortable with a couple of cold beers in the fridge was perfect.
Definitely stay here again
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patricia (9/5): Well appointed, charming house with very helpful host - Charming, homely, property with many thoughtful touches like 2 desks for working from home and cookbooks. Beds a little hard and only one car space. Other car had to be left on main road to avoid having to back out of lane.
- Greg (10/5): Everything we needed and more, would stay again. - Whole house rented, milk ,tea coffee ,bisciuts tea, beers supplied. All linen and towels supplied, free wi fi and Netflix included. Easy to contact owner by phone, email or text Non of the following was a problem for us, but property slightly tucked away doen narrow drive, and stairs fairly steep and narrow if you have difficulty walking
- Ali (10/5): Perfect -
- Sibylle (10/5): Exceptional - We found the house exactly as described: a lovely cottage offering a lot of space. It's a cosy retreat if you're looking for some quiet or want to explore Bristol (public transport links close by), clean and perfectly well-equipped with lots of fitting details.
James - engaging person and helpful host - even provided tea bags, milk and biscuits for a warm welcome.
Would definitely book again! No complaints at all!
- Wally (10/5): Excellent!! - Breakfast was not included. However, tea and coffee (both instant and pods) with milk was available. I cannot fault the property.
- Serge (9/5): Perfect for 3 - Very clean, comfortable cottage .
With everything you need ! .....euh..... ?
- Michelle (10/5): Fantastic break canât wait to return - Everything fabulous host James very helpful decorated to a high standard very clean.

- Christine (9/5): Superb -
- Roy (10/5): A very busy but wonderful few days. The Cottage was always warm and cosy to come back to. We couldn' - N/A Nothing could be improved as far as we were concerned! James the host is a very friendly person and immediately made us feel more than welcome.
- Kevin (9/5): Superb - A selection of blankets would have been nice as we found the duvets to be too heavy for the weather.
