Guest Reviews
- john a. (9/5): Fun but be prepared for the heat. - Very friendly and helpful owners. Need hot water in the sink.
- Mark (10/5): Ein super Ort - Romantischer Ort und sehr schön eingerichtet!
- Darrin Bryant (10/5): - They paid attention to the little things that made it glamping at the highest level. That we were not able to stay longer.
- Marc (10/5): Exceptional stay at this wonderful place! - Everything was amazing, the best were the beds! There was also a heater in the tent which we didn’t use even though it was very cold in the evening. The bed was so comfortable and warm. We used the barbecue facility in front of our tent with the beautiful view. The bathrooms were very very clean! Also if you run out of battery they have spare battery packs to use for your phone. Hosts are very friendly and passionate which is very nice. I woke up in the middle of the night and decided to go outside to see the stars which was beautiful! And in the morning we woke up with a deer in front of our tent! Would definitely book this place again if I am around! The offroad route to Moab which the hosts warned us about what we ignored unfortunately haha
- Shane (9/5): Just lovely. - I love the setting. I love that it’s small and intimate. The owners are downright adorable and the whole thing is just beautiful. It feels like camping without any of the stress. Drinking water would be nice.
- Amy (10/5): -
- Eric (10/5): A perfect place to rest our heads between Black Canyon of the Gunnison and Moab. - Jake and Jessica were amazing hosts, full of good information and great smiles. The glamping tents were very comfortable. All the facilities were clean and had everything we needed. While Gateway is off the beaten path, I'd love to make a return trip someday. Also, the food at the resort just down the road was amazing - great dinner. Oh, and that view when I walked out of the tent first thing in the morning! Wow! They need some swag! I'd have loved a shirt or a hat.
- Justin (10/5): Fantastic glamping site with many amenities and creature comforts - Beautiful location with great amenities and options right across from the general store and gas station. Fantastic glamping tents with everything needed. Friendly and responsive host. Great place to relax. Turn off the main road is a short and sloped dirt path that may be difficult to spot and get to, but it isn't a big deal. Not much to complain about.
- David L (10/5): As advertised. Jessica and Jacob are very nice and attentive owners. - Location, price, and basic accommodations. Nothing.
- Arike (8/5): Lovely and would go there again when there's an electricity outage... - It is a lovely set up and the tent was large with a big bed and it even had a couch in it. There are little pebble paths toward your own tent and everything is done really nicely with the landscaping. There's a cowboy pool and lounge chairs with parasols. The bathrooms were very nice and clean. There's a hammock to relax in as well. The surroundings are beautiful. Something that the owner of the property told us is that they're trying to convince the community to have only lights that shine down so the night sky is as clear as possible. However, that hasn't caught on yet because right across from the campsite is a building with bright flood lights on the whole night, which really is a shame.
- Francois (10/5): Fantastique séjour - La vue est incroyable
- Marion (10/5): Merci ! - Merci c'était fabuleux, les hôtes sont vraiment gentils. Piscine et mobilier extérieur. Sanitaires collectifs mais très très propres ! Ras.
- Aashish (10/5): -
- Alexander (10/5): - Great location, easy to find, friendly staff, perfect!
- Annie (10/5): Glamping dream - Perfect glamping experience in a beautiful location at an affordable price. Excellent hosts. Having to leave.
- Sharon (10/5): Great as usual!! -
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Ed (9/5): Superb -
- Nichole (10/5): Amazing gem! - The location and camp hosts were amazing. We had the best time and left very relaxed.
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional - It was wonderful and beautiful!! Great place. I little hard to find, No signs, but it is right across from the grocery store.
Jake & Jessica were great hosts and the night was quiet and dark. Great stars!!! Will recommend to all my friends
Thanks a bunch. Shar & David Crangle
- Bonnie (10/5): If you have never tried glamping Gateway is the place to start. - We were not sure what to expect--this was our first glamping experience but we were beyond pleasantly surprised. Greeted by Jake and Jess (owners) who are just so welcoming and enthusiastic about their "project." They say that their ambition is to create a relaxing and calming outdoor experience but it is obvious that each aspect of the glamping project has been carefully planned and executed. The whole area is "off the grid," so don't expect a TV or microwave, but enjoy the amenities for cooking a nice meal, the firepit, the solar lights, the stars and especially the comfy bed. Beautiful! Not a thing.
- Seis (10/5): I would recommend and I would stay at this place every summer if I where to visit again! - The night view in the sky, quite and peaceful! n/a
- G (10/5): Exceptional - I liked the ample space inside the large tent. You can adjust the flaps up or down depending on how much privacy or openness you like. The king size bed was really comfortable. I wasn't expecting a couch, but made good use of it. Outside my tent I had my own private space down by the creek with a hammock I took a nap in. There is a grill along with utensils if you want to barbecue. Plus you have your own picnic table along with a couple of lawn chairs. You can make a cozy fire in the outdoor chiminea. Pretty much everything you need for a wonderful glamping experience in one of the most beautiful places in Colorado. The location is easy to find and the young couple running the place are very friendly and accommodating! This place is right off of the highway so there was noise from the cars and motorcycles. However, this is a relatively remote place and things quieted down at night.
- Inkyu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stubblefield (10/5): Exceptional - The host are incredible Everything was top notch
- Christen (10/5): Stay at this gem while it’s affordable!!! - Absolutely lovely experience. Extremely clean, and the hosts were so accommodating-helpful but not overbearing. Centrally located, beautiful views, and lots of wildlife. The map might indicate the tents are much further apart. They’ve done a lovely job with site planning, but you do hear neighbors (as you would camping). But it’s very private.
- Marcia (10/5): The bed the pillows the environment outstanding. - It gave my husband and I a chance to continue to go to Gateway in the style we enjoy. We are in our 70s. And have such fond memories of that area. Rafting camping exploring for the past 30 years. It was perfect
- Crews (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pam (10/5): Cool spot! We will be back! - Really cool spot! The bed was so cozy and warm (during a crazy rain/wind storm) and the yurt was very accommodating. Jess and Jacob were so warm and welcoming!
- Amber (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts are beyond friendly! You can tell that they work extremely hard. Every detail was already thought of. Very, VERY clean property. The tent was warm, cozy and inviting. The bedding is the best we’ve ever slept in! We will without a doubt be returning customers!
- Steffen (10/5): Excellent choice for camping - more like a cozy hotel! - Glamping at its best. The owners made a real effort to provide a super comfortable experience and it shows! Cozy and spacious tent with a real bed, a heater for the cold night, seating and cozy decoration and lighting, new bathroom w shower, lovely exteriors and coffee in the morning. If you are looking for camping in that area - go no further! Did I mention the wifi and of course the magnificent place that Gateway Canyon is?!
- Amy (10/5): Wonderful! - Cute, comfy, and gorgeous views
- Mijke (10/5): Amazing experience - Highly recommended. We wish we could’ve stayed longer. The owners Jake and Jess are just the loveliest people. The location is absolutely stunning, 360 degree mountain view, the tents are beautiful, new, super clean, the king bed was very comfy. There was a heater in the tent that made the temperature perfect for an early October night. Just outside the tent there was a great barbecue/stove, kitchen utensils, kettle, pot, everything you need. They provided cozy blankets to sit outside, Jake and Jess got the fire pit started for us and we had a glass of wine by the fire under the stars. The whole experience was magical. Jake and Jess are the best hosts you could wish for. They welcomed us with great warm energy, they’re very helpful, explained how everything around the campsite works, really just the loveliest people. They provide coffee in the morning for the guests, which was very welcome, even though it’s easy to brew your own on the stove. Lovely to wake up in the morning with the sunrise on the mountain. If you get the chance to stay here, do it.
- Bob (7/5): Excellent bedding and great friendly hosts. - Highway Noise is bad through the day but quiet at night. Grill needed adjustment. Cooking burner only put out yellow sooty flame - big mess.
- Glen (9/5): Privacy, Quiet, Access to desert exploration and beautiful place. - We had a fantastic time staying at Gateway Glamping. The property is a great work in progress. Jess and jake are great hosts and the area is absolutely beautiful. This place is great. We are looking forward to returning and seeing the evolution of the property with additional tents and bathrooms.
- Vanbeek (10/5): Exceptional - Everything Nothing
- Schwarz (10/5): Exceptional - The Jones were outstanding. They waited for us for a late check-in and showed us our beautiful tent (very comfortable matresses). The day after they introduced us to the area and explained the trails around Gateway's mountains. Despite being in a very tiny town, all the facilities needed to camping were there and in a great status. The view of the tent is amazing, a perfect way to start an adventurous day!!
We highly reccommend it to anyone who wants camp despite not being equipped for it. We chose this glamling instead of an hotel and we were extremely satisfied! Looking forward to come back one day.
