• Clare (10/5): Once in a life time snorkelling experiences, at a great hotel with delicious food! - We loved our stay at Whaleshark Beach, the excursions are world class. Majuudee the snorkelling guide, is calm, kind and very knowledgeable. You can snorkel with whalesharks, manta rays, nurse sharks and sting rays, it is incredible! All staff in the hotel are helpful, the chef is amazing - we loved all the food. It's a quiet time to visit at the moment which made the snorkelling even more special. It was a holiday of a lifetime with ocean experiences we'll never forget. Nothing!
• Karalee (9/5): Brilliant! - The staff were amazing!! I was greeted at arrival with a welcome drink and little grass fish necklace which was a cute gesture. They were very helpful with booking excursions and transfers to and from the harbour. Communication was also spot on with ordering my speedboats prior to arrival and departure. I don’t have anything negative to say about this property.

• Claudia (10/5): - Das Personal war extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Service war ausgezeichnet. Wir wurden bei unserer Ankunft bereits am Hafen erwartet und ins Hotel gebracht. Die Organisation der Ausflüge ist sehr gut, alles funktioniert reibungslos inkl. Transport zum und vom Hafen. Die Guides bei den Ausflügen waren nicht nur sehr bemüht uns das bestmögliche Erlebnis bieten zu können, sie waren auch sehr freundlich und auf unser Wohlbefinden bedacht. Das Zimmer ist top ausgestattet, sehr sauber und die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet. Jeder Wunsch wird einem in diesem Hotel erfüllt. Es gibt nichts zu beanstanden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt

• Sv.V. (10/5): - Das Hotel ist insgesamt wunderbar, das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Kudus war besonders hilfsbereit, und alle drei Kellnerinnen waren sehr freundlich. Das Hotel wirkt neu und komfortabel. Ich habe versehentlich einen billigen chinesischen Aschenbecher zerbrochen, den ich gar nicht benutzt habe. Ich habe den Vorfall selbst gemeldet, und sie verlangten 15 Dollar. Das ist kein angemessener Preis für einen alten, billigen Aschenbecher.

The snorkeling right off our doorstep was absolutely incredible — such an unforgettable experience. The staff were outstanding, warm, and attentive throughout our stay. A special thank you to Lola, the manager, who went above and beyond. She personally met us at the boat after I experienced a medical event and made sure we were so well cared for. Her kindness and professionalism were second to none. She organized everything from boat transfers to daily activities. The food was actually so damn good! We had done a few other islands where the food was nasty. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-run island escape. Nothing

• Przemysław (9/5): Excellent place to explore Dhigurah. - - Perfect location just 30 meters away from the beach. - Very attentive and kind staff from check in to check out. Any issues that we had (e.g. some minor AC issues) were fixed very quickly and without any further issues - Good dining options (rooftop) and around - Clean rooms and comfy beds - Diverse breakfasts despite being quite basic. Omelette and egg station available if you are not very much into sweet or local flavors. - Availability of hot water. We had issues with getting hot water, sometimes we had to wait for a few minutes to have it "sauna hot" and this was the only advice we got from the hotel. While this worked most of the cases and even with a lukewarm water in this climate it was not an issue, it's not very eco friendly if you have to flush dozens of liters to get to the warm / hot water.

• Bartosz (10/5): Zdecydowanie polecamy ! - Obsługa hotelowa od samego wejścia dbała o nasz komfort. Dostaliśmy na powitanie schłodzone mokre ręczniki i zimny napój. Oczywiście zostaliśmy odebrani z portu i przewiezieni do hotelu. Czuliśmy się bardzo zaopiekowani. Personel był bardzo uprzejmy i pomagał w organizacji transferów, nawet na sąsiednie wyspy. Podróżowaliśmy z dwójką małych dzieci i obsługa bardzo je rozpieszczała. Personel bardzo uśmiechnięty i gotowy spełnić każde życzenia. Śniadania były urozmaicone, więc każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie. Codziennie świeże omlety smażone na zamówienie. Bardzo dobre jedzenie w obiekcie. Dostępne są dwie restauracje (jedna na parterze, a druga na ostatnim piętrze na dachu). Pokoje w bardzo dobrym standardzie i codziennie sprzątane. Łóżka duże i bardzo wygodne. Sprawnie działająca klimatyzacja, więc w pokoju było bardzo przyjemnie. Hotel zlokalizowany bardzo blisko bikini beach. Codziennie organizowane są wycieczki. Korzystaliśmy z wycieczki na pływanie z żółwiami oraz rekinem wielorybim. Polecamy z całego serca! Zobaczyliśmy jedno i drugie, w dodatkowo snurkowaliśmy na rafie koralowej oglądając niezliczone rodzaje ryb. Whaleshark to hotel, do którego bardzo chętnie wrócimy! Nie było minusów.

Jest to generator prądu dla całej wyspy, który BARDZO GŁOŚNO pracuje przez 24/7 !! Powoduje to ogromny dyskomfort i potrafi zepsuć całkowicie pobyt. Nie można nawet posiedzieć na balkonie. Chcesz odpocząć w ciszy i spokoju? To nie w whaleshark beach hotel. Hałas potworny i uważam to za wielkie nieporozumienie. Po zgłoszeniu manager Anna zlekceważyła zgłoszenie i chęć wymiany pokoju, tłumacząc że wszystkie pokoje mają zajęte i nie ma możliwości wymiany. Słabe śniadania Nie działająca lodówka

• Semih (9/5): Super Aufenthalt im Herzen von Dhigurah. - Ich möchte mich zu aller erst bei Ana bedanken. Sie konnte mir immer helfen und alle Fragen beantworten und ist generell sehr bemüht um alle Gäste. Ansonsten ist die Lage vom Hotel super. Das Restaurant Abends hat auch gutes Essen. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß und sauber. Es gibt keine Probleme mit Mücken oder sonstigen Tieren. Das Frühstück könnte besser sein und der Preis für die Ausstattung ist bisschen zu hoch.
• Lonneke (9/5): Super! mooi hotel en heel vriendelijk personeel. - Bij aankomst en bij iedere excursie wordt je opgehaald met een golfkarretje. Het personeel is echt heel erg vriendelijk! Het hotel is heel mooi en het ontbijt iedere ochtend is heerlijk. Er is de hele dag door gratis drinkwater beschikbaar. Bij binnenkomst in het hotel zit ook een kraantje waar je na het strand je voeten af kan spoelen. De prijzen van de excursies vielen ons tegen, deze waren dubbel zo duur als op andere lokale eilanden in de Malediven. Daarnaast kan je deze excursies alleen boeken bij je eigen hotel, dit geld ook voor de boottransfers van en naar Malé. Je bent afhankelijk van de prijzen die het hotel aanbied. Verder is het niet gegarandeerd dat je bij de excursie de whaleshark of manta's ziet. Wij hebben hierdoor de volgende dag nog een excursie moeten boeken voor dezelfde prijs (zonder korting).

• M (8/5): - The staff was nice and helpful. The construction of the room. Kept stubbing my toe with the cement partition from bathroom. Odd feature. Breakfast limited but maybe because off season. Each hotel has their own partner for excursions and dont share. Not guaranteed to see whales/mantas/etc but when several boats circle the same area/path for hours, its no wonder you dont see them. I wouldn't want to hang around a bunch of noisy motor boats.They should partner with each other and have less disturbance to the area.

Wir hatten Platz, Komfort und alles, was das Hotelherz noch begehrt. Die Lage war super und einen Katzensprung vom Hotel entfernt. Das Personal war IMMER äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alle Mahlzeiten waren köstlich und frisch zubereitet, Wasser gab es rund um die Uhr umsonst. Wir haben rein gar nichts zu beanstanden :)
• Marina (10/5): Amazing attention and great facilities - In general, our experience at Whaleshark beach has been fantastic, from room to staff, including the tours we booked with them. The attention and care of the staff was over the top, they work very hard to give a wonderful experience to their guests and they excel at it. They made sure we had everything we needed and always with a smile. The facilities were clean and well taken care of, and the room was spacious and clean, with daily room keeping service. We booked two tours through the hotel and they were quite exclusive. The boat staff was very professional and they took care of us during the trip. Overall, I would go back to Whale Shark in my next visit to Dhigurah. Nothing to say

Wenn man irgendwas hat ist die Hotel Managerin immer da und hilft weiter und ist sehr freundlich. Ein gutes Restaurant im Hotel. Kurzer Weg zu den Stränden auf beiden Seiten. Vermittlung von Fahrrädern und Roller. Bei der Ankunft gab es ein leckeren willkommens drink und uns wurden Informationen über die Insel gegeben. Das Frühstück war gut, aber ein klein wenig mehr Auswahl hätte es sein können.

The hotel manager runs the place with true dedication and passion. Thank you very much! Upon arrival, I received a warm and friendly welcome. The staff throughout my stay were incredibly helpful and polite. The hotel itself is new, nice designed, and has a cosy, inviting atmosphere. My room was very comfortable and tastefully furnished. A special highlight is the rooftop restaurant, which not only serves delicious food but also offers an incredible view.

Fin dal primo giorno mi hanno fatto sentire come in famiglia: lo staff è sempre stato attento, disponibile e premuroso. Anche se viaggiavo da solo, mi hanno organizzato quasi ogni giorno attività diverse, permettendomi di vivere al meglio l’isola e il mare. Il cibo è stato una piacevolissima sorpresa: piatti curati da chef qualificati, con sapori che mi hanno ricordato l’Italia, sia per qualità che per gusto. Un mix perfetto tra accoglienza, organizzazione e cucina eccellente. Consiglio vivamente questo hotel a chiunque voglia vivere le Maldive con calore, autenticità e un tocco di casa. Niente, era tutto perfetto, ci tornerò sicuramente.

• JR (10/5): - Het serviceniveau van iedereen die hier werkt is ontzettend hoog, niet vaak zo meegemaakt. Je voelt je erg welkom en alles is in de puntjes verzorgd. Fantastische kamers, heel goed schoongemaakt en je wordt in alles ontzorgd. Ontbijt heerlijk en handig dat er iemand langs komt voor de eventuele excursies. Zelfs bij ontvangst in de haven tot afscheid wordt je zeer welkom geheten. Ik heb wel het idee dat Dhigurah in een snel tempo aan het veranderen is van een oorspronkelijk lokaal rustiger eiland naar behoorlijke groei in toerisme. Helemaal niets, wat hebben we het heerlijk gehad.

(Tienen Restaurante pero no lo probamos) preferimos uno local que hay al lado. Tanto en este alojamiento como en otros, no tienes libertad de elección a la hora de hacer excursiones con empresas, estás obligado a contratar con tu hotel. Personalmente es la primera vez que me ocurre en mis viajes y no me parece normal (además, este hotel tiene las tarifas más caras en ese sentido) pudimos comparar hablando con otras personas con las que compartimos excursión y a ellos su hotel les cobraba menos por la misma experiencia.
• Janire (10/5): - Ha sido sin duda el mejor hotel de todo el viaje. La atención ha sido exquisita y te hacían sentir importante y especial. Si vas a Dhigurah este hotel es impecable. Las instalaciones, el trato, la localización, el servicio de excursiones, bicicletas... La terraza en la azotea es muy bonita, ideal para una cena o tomar algo al atardecer. La encargada fue extraordinariamente atenta con nosotros y desde antes de nuestra llegada nos cuidó y se preocupó de que llegáramos bien y nos recogiesen con efectividad. Por último, el desayuno que estaba incluido era maravilloso, variado y de calidad!! Todo fue genial.

• Santiago (9/5): Servicio agradable e inmejorable - El hotel se nota que está súper bien cuidado y cuidan hasta el más mínimo detalle. Las camareras son super agradables, siempre te hablan con una sonrisa y de la manera mas amable posible. Las instalaciones estan muy bien, aunque hay un olor fuerte en los pasillos bastante peculiar que no sabria decir que es. El trato en todo momento fue muy bueno, desde el momento de llegada hasta el momento de salida y nos limpiaban la habitación cada dia, cambiando también las toallas tanto de ducha como de playa. También nos facilitaron el adaptador para poder cargar el móvil. El hotel en si estaba bastante bien, aunque en booking nos salía un precio y la reserva estaba confirmada a ese precio, acabamos pagando bastante más. El primer dia como estábamos cansados decidimos cenar en el hotel y la verdad que fue una decepción. Pedimos unos espaguetis los cuales eran bastantes mediocres, unos tacos, un agua y un smothie y nos costó casi 40$ (2 personas) mientras que en restaurante local los cuales no estan nada mal comíamos por 10-15$

George made it clear that there was no guarantee of seeing a Whale Shark but we saw two on the one morning. Next day we swam with Mantas!

• Marina (5/5): Not what I expected. - The property looks very new and the staff was nice. The island is stunning but starts becoming quite touristic. Be prepared to pay way more than booking says because of the taxes, service charge etc. Also, if you book the speedboat, you'll find it cheaper if you book it seperately (45 instead of 65+also service charge). The staff on place was super nice but the communication beforehand was terrible. I booked the hote& speed boat in December. A couple of days before I asked if I can come a day earlier, they replied one day later that they didn't have capacity which was fine but they changed my transfer from 4pm to 11am and since I wanted to dive in the morning I wanted to keep the 4 pm. It took me 4 messages, 2 calls from my own phone and 1 call from my previous hotes phone to finally have someone answer and change the speedboat booking back to the right time - no reply before all of my messages and this was until 1 day before changeing islands. Also, my room was on the 3rd floor and I sometimes had ants in my bed. Also if you're diving: the hotel just works with 1 company and they always have a full boat of 20 divers. Depending on the divesite, it is quite crowded.

Room faces the power plant of the island, the windows are single glazed so sometimes can be noisy at nighttime. Diving not very easy to book through hotel - front desk not very helpful with communicating with the dive team at times.
• Lina (9/5): We loved our stay at Whaleshark Beach and are super happy about our decision. - We loved our stay at Whaleshark Beach and are super happy about our decision as we think it is one of the best or even the best hotel on Dhigurah. My partner has a dairy allergy and we could easily speak to the chef everyday to make clear that the food does not contain any of these. That was amazing. You can fill up your water bottle in the hotel, which seems like a small benefit but it is actually huge as you do not have to go to a store everyday and carry big bottles in the heat. The rooms, the wifi, the staff, everything was really nice. And the hotel has probably the best tour guide and crew you could ask for. We did two full day tours and saw a whale shark, Mantas, turtles and more. We loved that we do not have to jump off the boat. They had a leather or you could easily go from the end of the boat as it was almost the same hight as the water. Again, seems like a small thing but for us it was a big advantage.
• Mel (10/5): A Truly Wonderful Stay - Everything about our stay was perfect! The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always making sure we felt welcome. They even surprised us with a cake in our room to celebrate our honeymoon, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The room was spacious and well-equipped, with all the necessary amenities. There was hot water (though occasionally it got quite hot, so finding the sweet spot was key), and we loved that we could connect our Netflix or Prime profiles to the TV for a relaxing evening. One detail that stood out was the complimentary water fountain available for guests to use, such a refreshing change from places where you're charged for bottled water. The flexibility offered with the excursions was fantastic; it allowed us to enjoy plenty of snorkeling and spot all the local wildlife. We truly wished we could have stayed longer to soak up more of this amazing experience!

• Capitao (10/5): Book here to - Everything has been outstanding during our stay. The room is very nice, with staff coming everyday to clean / change towels if needed. The restaurant is excellent, with a large choice of great dishes. We ended up eating there every night, on the rooftop, under the stars. Much worth it the extra 2-3$ you pay for this quality. The whale shark excursion we did with the hotel also more than achieve our expectations. Not only we were lucky to swim with them for 30min, but they also recorded outstanding pictures / videos from us, with their high quality equipment (much better than a simple go pro !). Also, if you’re here for romance, make sure you book a romantic dinner by the beach with them. The spot they build is simply the best I have seen in my two weeks vacations in the Maldives across 4 islands (including a resort island); a real no brainer ! Last but not least, the staff ! Everyone is so professional, so kind, so smiley, you immediately feel extremely comfortable ! Thank you to everyone (including the manager who is extremely well organized, always around and helpful to plan all your vacations and activities by WhatsApp ! This team is definitely the main asset of the hotel. Will with no doubt comeback one day ! Thank you whaleshark beach ! Take care ! Nothing. It was perfect !

• Palwasha (10/5): Will definitely recommend - I must say i met one of the best people in this hotel. The staff were simply amazing! The owner of the property was so kind and welcoming. The thing which i will always remember is the food they packed us before we left. Most kind gesture ever! The hotel had a home feeling to it. Food should have more Indian options specifically vegetarian. Tv was not functional. There was no milk tea.
