Guest Reviews
- Brett (9/5): - Secluded. Calm. Neat. Clean. The host There was not much to like
- Charmain ONeil (7/5): -
- Arlin (10/5): -
- Venessa (10/5): - Friendly staff, amazing views, exceptional host and awesome accommodation. Sole food, away from the hustle and bustle.
- Vicki (9/5): -
- Kahren (8/5): -
- Lina (10/5): - It’s very quiet and secluded. Well taken care of and just overall the gateway you need away from the city. Nothing.
- Lisa (8/5): Peaceful and private and fun. - Such a lovely way to sleep in a tent without camping! We booked the tented camp. It was clean and basic but has everything we needed. Property is a little further from the Dinokeng gate than we realised. Not that it was a problem! Just to be aware that it is a drive (maybe 30min)to the park.

- Ephraim (10/5): Amazing stay with my wife, we reconnected. - I liked the place very much, the service was superb. I would go back again. I actually liked everything.
- Mariana (8/5): Mom 91, sister 64, me 53, son 16, loved the silence, every moment We did our thing, needed nothing! - Lynne, the host, is very caring and accommodating. She met us before we even entered through the gate! She checked in with us after our first evening. We also asked for more loo paper which she brought to us, although we did not use all. It is extremely clean with very good bedding and linen. There is no TV!!! - which is GREAT!!! Also, the fact that there where two single beds in the main area close to the bathroom really helped. We were able to change our sleeping arrangements as mom of 91 could not sleep in the tent, for obvious reasons, and Lynne was very accommodating. There can be more fans or roof fans in the tents and main area. Everything else was perfect. More toilet paper depending on the number of guests and nights staying. Wi-fi would be nice, but not essential!

- Mzimase (10/5): - I loved the tranquility and the beauty of the savanna and the fact that its too far from Soweto. Lynne the host was awesome 👌. Will be coming back again. The weekend was too short
- Lourens (8/5): -
- Elzanne (10/5): A wonderful stay! - Braai/Grill area, pool, spacious chalet, decor fitting for ‚bush luxury‘ Dirt road to get there was very bad at places.
- Jurinda (10/5): -
- Zinhle (5/5): - I like. Friendliness of staff The linen wasn't clean it's like someone used if before and it wasn't change the smell was very bad. The linen must be changed everytime when there was guest

- Slindile (10/5): Perfect place for unwinding - The quietness of the place, the animals (zebras, impalas etc) at your doorsteps was amazing to see in the mornings and evenings.
This place is designed for peace of mind and relaxation (far away from the city chaos).
Lynne was super great to us - we will definitely come back. Thank you so much Lynne Nothing, everything was perfect.
- Darleen (10/5): - It had everything you need in the kitchen and braai area. Animals near the chalet, true bush experience. Saw Zebra, ostrich, impala and wildebeest on the property. Beds are so comfy, slept like a baby. Lovely outdoor entertainment area with 3 different braais to choose from. Fans inside which helped with the heat

- Ronel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Venter (8/5): Very good -
- Estelle (10/5): Like rain to a desert, replenishing. - The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing, the cottage was so well stocked with glasses, wine glasses, bowls, plates, pan, salad bowls, pot, good knife, towels, dish soap, dish towels and a spare warm blanket...not that it was needed. Beautiful scenery. Lynne was friendly and welcoming and happy to assist with any questions.
We had a visit from 3 ostriches for breakfast and a few Nyala one evening, not forsaking Lucky, the the resident kitty cat.
I especially liked the mesh in the bedroom which allows you to sleep surrounded by nature if you choose to have it open.
I would advise taking some protected candles or a lantern for the table outside, if you want to preserve the atmosphere of the fire and stars, so you can see and eat without having to have the outside light on, oh and don't forget the marshmallows :)
There are braai tongs, but it may be handy to take tongs to handle the fire. It was not ideal that we needed to settle the payment on arrival and have the slip from the gate filled in, it would have been nicer to first unpack the car and settle in before handling the admin.
- Petro (10/5): Lovely bush getaway - Beautiful location. Tents so comfortable and clean. Loved the living area, very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped.
- Rianda (10/5): After the rain - The quiet and tranquility was exactly what we needed. No fault from the venue side but the roads getting there were very bumpy due to the massive amounts of rain.
- Martie (9/5): Superb -
- Burger (10/5): Again and Agian - This is a gem. The wildlife was around you.
The silence was something different and had all the features that was needed.
The dirt road was better than expected and the gate staff and the guest was superb. The facilities and site viewing were little far away from the stay, But its part of the journey.
Wildlife all over as you drive.
- Serrao (10/5): Great place. - Great experience at this place. And enjoyed the animals on the property. Ownrr was super sweet and helpful as well. Only thing is that the road to it was quite bumpy and long.
- Lomari (9/5): Superb -
- Vicki (8/5): Very good -
- Kiana (10/5): Great location with beautiful views, accommodation was great! Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the main living area -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Owner was there on arrival. Super easy to communicate with!
Place as in a very good condition. Very relaxed environment. All in All will surly go there again.
- Michelle (10/5): Quiet and peaceful - It was quiet and peaceful
- Zane (8/5): Very good -
- Detlev (8/5): Very good -
- Carol (8/5): Very good -
- Karabelo (8/5): Very good -
- Pieter (10/5): Great, neat, friendly hostess and you feel you are in the bush - Very nice stay, wild live to be seen on front area while we were sitting on stoep. The porch were a very good idea with moveable fire place to braai and protected against rain. Very good breakaway location and close enough to the park for self rides through the Dinokeng reserve Nothing, maybe made firewood available included in the booking
- Lebakeng (10/5): An amazing stay - I love the wilderness and home away from type of vibe. N/A
- Van (10/5): Exceptional -
- Potego (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mmahlaha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Limpitlaw (8/5): Very good - This value for money little gem is quiet, close to the gates to Dinokeng and the host is friendly and helpful.
We will be back.
- Amanda (10/5): Although it was only one night, it felt like a long holiday. - Lynn phoned us to ask how we are doing as we ran a little late. She met us at the gate and showed us around and took us to our accommodation. We felt very welcome and special. Nothing to report.
- De (7/5): Good -
- Cloete (9/5): Superb - It was amazing to have the game walking right up to our house.
We were also really grateful to be allowed to use the tent area facilities as we wanted to stay longer but our house was already booked.
Thank you so much ! I would have preferred an option to have 2 bedrooms rather than the 2 beds in the living room. But at the prices this was excellent value.
- Johanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ryan (7/5): A pleasant stay and would probably book there again if needs be. - The location was perfect for us as it was very close our friends and the setting is rather nice too. Nice communal pool area and the unit has a nice stoep. the bed was comfortable and the unit was nice and clean on our arrival. Lynne is very friendly and is a good hostess. The unit is unbearably hot as it has no air conditioner, only a fan. It works, but is not effective enough to sleep comfortably.
- Frikkie (9/5): Need and quit. - Shower water very slow
Need air-conditioned and TV, wifi
Beter lighting
- Esterhuysen (9/5): Superb -
- Colile (9/5): Rustic Bush Getaway - Secluded bush getaway, really got to unwind and unplug from the rest of the world. Antelope galloping close to our doorstep and feeling connected to nature. While there is no WiFi there is plenty to do to keep yourself occupied whether it is star gazing, taking a short nature walk or chatting to friends or family in the serene environment. It was a perfect introduction to camping within the tented camp and small apartment. Needed forewarning about the level of self-catering required. Some basics like tea and sugar not included. Linen could have been a bit fresher.
- Ilze (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly host and spacious chalet, peaceful, surrounded by animals
- Mosese (10/5): MAGICAL PLACE - Wow! What a place! What a host! I'm blown away by the peaceful surroundings and even friendlier host. Lynne. You are a gem. Thank you so much for the perfect getaway. I liked everything.
- Taylor (10/5): Exceptional - Exceeded my expectations. Amazing little place with breathtaking views, kitchen/ lounge/ dining area opens onto boma. So nice and spacious fitted with all that is needed. Nyala came to eat fruit out my children's hands at the campsite. Could see zebra, ostrich and buck from our boma. Lynne was really accommodating and friendly. Kids were so chuffed to be called to come see a baby Blesbok.
- Lekoroe (9/5): Superb - Great place
- Jade (5/5): Passable -
- Olwethu (9/5): Superb -
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kendra-lee (10/5): Absolutely wonderful! I will be back - Was so peaceful and quiet. The places are well equipped, beautifully set up with every detail taken into account. I loved my time, I was comfortable and happy.
- Delia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Otto (10/5): Perfect for a simple, rustic weekend away. - Lovely host and the friendliest Nyalas! No complaints.
- Alvina (6/5): Comfortable stay - The location was great and it was amazing to relax in our cottage while seeing beautiful animals roaming. The cottage was spacious and comfortable. It was a bit disappointing that the pool was not in a swimming condition, however we did enjoy ourselves without it
