- Hayleigh (10/5): Great relaxing getaway - Amazing stay, took dog and toddler! Hosts couldn't be more helpful. Great location, hot tub ready to get in. Great location for walks with the dog, didn't even bump into anyone. The gate near the hottub could do with being made more secure- cocker spaniel or smaller can just walk under it and escape.

- Kirsty (9/5): Fabulous would have loved to stay longer - Salt pepper and milk
- Stephen (9/5): -
- Sarah (9/5): Lovely stay, friendly helpful hosts, fabulous hot tub! - We loved the hot tub and the really peaceful location, lovely appointed property, pretty lake within walking distance, very helpful hosts! Nothing - the only negative I would say was the lighting to the hot tub wasn’t great as the solar lights went off and other than one motion light it’s pretty dark walking down the stairs.
- Charlotte (10/5): Highly recommend - Absolutely beautiful place, stunning location and so peaceful. Hot tub was lovely and ready to just get in when we arrived. A light would be useful on the stairs when heading to the hot tub

- Desespringalle (8/5): A lovely, easy stay - Easiness, apartment, hot tub. Contacting owner when needed, friendliness and quickness of response.
Milk sachets in fridge as we forgot to pick up some milk on route - thank you.
Dressing gowns, a lovely touch.
Well equipped kitchen, plastic glasses for hot tub. Balcony could do with clearing of dead leaves, bird poo and cobwebs. Impossible not to take debris all over lovely bedroom carpet.
Would be nice to have information on local amenities, leaflets showing walks, tourist attractions etc.
- Alison (10/5): Great relaxing stay - Location!!peace and wuiet More kitchen gadgets, bottles opener etc
- Joanna (8/5): Lovely property, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, hot tub is lovely and location exceptional for exploring, bathroom and kit - Location, scenery, hot tub Needs a little tlc
- carol (10/5): Perfect peaceful stay. - The location was perfect.
The apartment was cozy but spacious and the hot tub was a lovely way to relax after a long day out.
Lovely walks which was a bonus for our dog Sadie . We didn’t find anything negative about our stay.
- Gemma (8/5): Very good -
- Cazellis555 (10/5): A lovely find! - We both loved the hot tub, balcony, and court yards to sit outside. The feel of the place, atmosphere, and location. We had a bbq one night. We loved watching the birds coming to the balcony from our room to their nest. Walking to the lake to explore the area. We felt at home. The shower was great. We slept well both nights. The kitchen had everything we needed. The views and hearing birds and horses. We visited Berwick, parked up, and got the train to Edinburgh one of our days. It's worth a visit to Wooler and Ingram, too. Thank you for a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend it. Photos don't do it justice. It's better than we thought. Leaving to come home. My daughter especially wanted to stay longer.
- Anthony (9/5): Relaxing, great location - Comfortable, modern, great location For even greater comfort, maybe add these items
Small net to clean hot tub
Minimum of two tea towels
Oven gloves
- Elaine (10/5): Very relaxing stay in idyllic setting. Well equipped with courtyard and hot tub. Highly recommend. - Location, facilities, idyllic setting and the hot tub. Nothing.
- Andreea (10/5): A really nice weekend getaway - The location is great close to main attractions of the area. The apartment is very cute and spacious and private. The views around are amazing as well. The jacuzzi is situated in a private area and you have 2 dressing gowns to use The place was cleaned and maintained. Wasn’t something I didn’t like necessarily but I want to mention a few things to help others. There were no washing products for the shower and no basic ingredients for the kitchen like salt or oil. The kitchen has all the cutlery utensils you might need but I would personally change the plastic chopping boards with some more natural materials, that’s all. I stayed at similar properties before and these details really help and matter. I personally came prepared with everything because me and my partner wanted to cook our own meals and we didn’t go out much apart for hiking.
A sign with the property name just before we turn into the drive would really help. Google maps was showing it’s the second turn and we had to walk around for a few minutes to find the right property. Wasn’t a big deal, just would really help to find the place easier.
- Pamela (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable Nil
- Michal (8/5): Location, facilities, general comfort, cleanliness: 10/10. Quality of sleep: 5/10. - Nicely converted and furnished old farm building in a quiet location. Well-equipped and clean. A noisy pump, boiler or something similar located below the bedroom. Quite a loud humming noise on through the day and night. I found it hard to sleep so I had to move to the sitting room onto the sofa bed (that was very uncomfortable).
- Rhona (10/5): Grand time at the Granary - Nice and peaceful, comfortable beds, nice and clean. Had our meals out, so I didn't use the kitchen except for the kettle.
Enclosed courtyard for the dogs was nice and handy. Being really picky here....the hand rail on either side of the stairs has sharp edges....a bit uncomfortable to use.
Also, I missed having a caddy in the shower for toiletries. I've a bad back, and my husband had to pass everything into me.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - The accommodation was fantastic and having the hot tub was an added bonus as it was a lovely, relaxing way to finish the day.
The property had everything we needed. There were lovely touches such as having tea, coffee, milk sugar, washing up liquid and cloths etc provided.
The property was very clean and comfortable. The information guide that's in the property is very handy. We would highly recommend Stewards Granary.
Just a note for anyone staying with a small dog, in the courtyard where the hot tub was there is a gap down the side of the gate. Our dog managed to squeeze through the gap, he came straight back and seemed very pleased with himself!!
- Aimee (10/5): Absolutely perfect - Absolutely beautiful property in a very serene location. The hosts were very pleasant, but not overbearing like some can be. Myself and my aunt came for a break away from work madness and it was perfect!
The hot tub was amazing and was set up ready for us upon arrival. It was very private and towelling dressing gowns had been provided for use after the hot tub.
The whole place was immaculate and tea/coffee was provided. I have booked again and cannot wait to return. This is probably one of my favourites! It was perfect! My only suggestion would have been a cheese grater.
- Megan (8/5): Very good -
- Gemma (10/5): Exceptional - Location, amenities
- Hayley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrea (10/5): An absolute gem - It was better than expected, pictures don’t do it justice. Everything we needed was provided plus extras and it was all perfectly clean. We were only there 2 nights but would definitely go back for a longer stay
- Aileen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jyoti (9/5): Lovely stay at Stewards Granary, with gorgeous views. - Great location, facilities in accommodation, views from balconies. Bed and sofa bed were both very uncomfortable. Could do with new mattresses. We didn’t sleep well at all.
- Philip (10/5): A beautifully quiet and relaxing place to stay. - The location was perfect for trips into the Scottish borders and to the Northumberland Coast, Holy Island and Bamburgh are just over half an hour away. Inland, other sites worth visiting were Heatherslaw Mill, Ford village, Etal and Flodden Field. The accommodation was perfect, very spacious and includes two private outdoor seating areas and a bedroom balcony. Nothing!
- Lisa (8/5): Definitely a place to visit. It’s more than just somewhere to use as a base. So give yourselves time to explore the grou - Lovely hosts. The grounds are beautiful but very big. We were disappointed we didn’t have enough time to explore the grounds more. We were disturbed one night by what we think was a washing machine or dryer. Underneath us. But second night was fine.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - The setting and spacious accommodation the peaceful balcony, it was very enjoyable. A morning walk around the lanes and to the lake. In some places, it was like going back in time. Seeing so much wildlife and walking through the fields, seeing the old buildings makes you feel rested. We went to Bamburgh Castle and a working cornmill complete with waterwheel, Flodden field, Berwick all within easy reach by car. In our opinion, a wonderful place to stay. We really enjoyed this stay, a great location, so peaceful. Set in the countryside but near enough to so many places of interest. Paul is a friendly and helpful host. We would hope to stay again one day.
