Worse than the government - •Young female receptionist prior to check in was friendly on the phone as was the female waitress in the restaurant- special thank you to these ladies •The grounds are lovely , lovely fire place and nicely decorated with outdoor lights •Flooded bathroom floor after shower. No reception or maintenance staff after hours to help with a room change so we had wet feet each time we used the bathroom. •Huge puffy pillow, no low options so I slept with a hoodie as a pillow •Dirty bathroom. Marks on the door, sticker on the ceiling and flies / spiders dead. The in room document was doodled over - clearly not checked over by housekeeping •Charged a public holiday surcharge for breakfast as it wasn’t included in our overnight stay fee - extremely unexpected as in-house guests •ONE coffee sachet each. Hope you are a fan of tea otherwise ! •Receptionist on checkout was not helpful. No compensation for the flooded bathroom or being charged the public holiday rate surcharge as in house breakfast guests
• Jane (6/5): - The staff were lovely. The room was large but had no furniture in it except the bed & a small sofa. The TV was orientated to the side of the bed & was difficult to view. Overall it lacked interior appeal & styling for the price. The estate itself seemed tired & out of date.

We also requested a plate and some cutlery to be brought to our room to which the staff said yes, but they never arrived. QR code for room service did not work. And although I liked the rustic look of the outside yard, it was also quite messy.
• Stephanie (8/5): A lovely place to experience - Lovely Estate, grounds, and location. Friendly and helpful staff, cozy and elevated atmosphere. A great location from a quiet weekend away, spending time with family to elopements. In our twin room- I found, which is subjective, that the bed and pillows weren’t that comfortable. A couple of doors must of had a draft over night, which kept making them attempt to open and close upstairs throughout the night in the corridor and room. Therefore I didn’t get much if any sleep. The fridge froze everything such as snacks. However, I trust that the estate will work to improve those aspects and I would recommend the stay

• Kylie (7/5): Wedding guest for one night stay. - The venue and location was fantastic.We stayed for a wedding for one night. The king bed in the suite we booked was disappointing. The base was on two single bed bases on roller wheels with a king mattress on top. Every time one of us moved the bed moved. Cobb webbing needed on the windows, all. The pre drinks after the wedding ceremony were warm not cold, and not on ice as it was a warm day. No direction from the wedding coordinator to guest or the bride in commencement for the ceremony. Only 4 suger sticks provided for coffee making in room and one little milk for one coffee each. Mini bar available, but no products provided to use.

The ensuite had two power fittings not working and the general lighting in the bathroom was pathetic. Finally the hot water system was not able to supply constant temperature to the shower. Although we slept well in the comfortable bed we felt the facilities did not match the price.

Breakfast was OK - not much fruit left when we arrived and the hot items were not kep warm in chafing dishes or similar so my breakfast was lukewarm. No bedside table on one side of the bed even though there was room. View from the window was aircon units- I appreciate not everyone can have a great view but they could have done more to disguise the units

• Jo (8/5): Lovely country escape without having to travel too far from Melbourne CBD. - We were very kindly gifted with a bottle of wine to enjoy, as it was our wedding anniversary. Cleveland Winery is in a beautiful location, with lovely grounds. We enjoyed a leisurely stroll around the property when we arrived - pretty at sunset. Stars were dazzling at night. Breakfast was nice - tasty offerings. Loved the cats that roamed - very friendly and cute. The room was spacious but felt under-furnished. Would have been nice to have a small desk, in addition to the small coffee table, so as to house the coffee and tea making facilities. The kettle had a very small, very awkward spot almost behind the tv.

Kate at reception was amazing - there was an issue with our room on the first night and when we explained it to her the next morning she moved us immediately and made absolutely sure we had a good nights sleep the second night. Restaurant was only ok; but there are other options 5 mins up the road in the town.

We totally enjoyed our stay! None. Oh the aircons were on with doors and windows wide open in the conference room, a bit of energy waste.

The room was nice but a little overpriced for what it was. Over all it was a nice stay. The wine tasting was very average compared to others we had been to in the region and dinner was also a little average. I ordered the steak and for $42 it was just steak. Some potatoes or other vegetables on the side would've been nice too.
