- Edwards (10/5): A lovely stylish period address for our long weekend - It was spacious and quiet and very comfortable. It had a cosy and homely feel. The fittings and furnishings were of very high quality and the kitchen was modern and clean. It was superb for our long weekend, being close enough to the city to walk there and back comfortably, but away from the crowds and noise Being really picky here, was a lack of a bath (the shower however was superb and very roomy). The only slight issue was the quite steep but short hill up to the address, which certainly tested our fitness!
- Alison (10/5): The best apartment to start & end your visit to Bath in. - Beautifully & sympathetically decorated throughout.
Great location - 20 min walk into the city centre.
The little added touches like milk in the fridge, tea/coffee & biscuits were very thoughtful. Parking is a few streets away & maybe a visitors parking permit could be provided IF the council allow it.
- Josh (10/5): On arrival we had clean towels on the bed, a bottle of wine in the fridge along side milk. Tea, coffee and biscuits were - The property was super clean and super cosy. It was the perfect little place for our stay.

Shower was incredible. Bed is really big and super comfortable. Really easy to walk into town and able to park our car 5 mins away.
- Kim (9/5): Zeer aangenaam - Zeer mooi appartement met alle voorzieningen en 30 min lopen van centrum. Alleen de weg naar het appartement is vrij steil.
- Felicity (8/5): we enjoyed our stay it was quiet and comfortable - spacious, clean the hill to the property was a killer, for middle aged people would need a car to access with luggage
- Julie (10/5): Wonderful relaxing couple of days - Cleanliness, spacious And cool apartment
- Zainul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alison (10/5): The apartment met our needs perfectly. It's well-equipped, stylish and quiet. - Not applicable
- Lorraine (9/5): Lovely chic apartment, with good transport links to main attractions!! - We loved this property!
A good size with quality furnishings.
Such a nice touch having milk and a bottle of wine in our arrival.
This apartment had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
Buses nearby to all the attractions and a Morrisons up the road for a few provisions- what’s not to love !
Had a check in text from the host Chris during our stay , which was very considerate.
Would definitely recommend! Had absolutely no complaints re the property .
However the lack of direct on street parking could be a challenge.
My husband dropped me off and then went hunting for parking.
The welcome pack suggested nearby roads but my husband had left his phone with me so I was unable to let him know .
It took him awhile to nab a parking spot , which turned out to be quite a walk back for a man with poorly knees!! The area is quite hilly!
Is it possible to have a Visitor’s permit for parking?
Might be useful if the neighbouring roads for parking are sent out with the check in details.
- Sacha (9/5): Superb - Clean and modern Parking
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (10/5): Wonderful long weekend in gorgeous Bath apartment - Beautifully appointed and spacious rooms, quiet location and luxurious feel throughout. Thoughtful touches from the owners such as fresh milk and excellent communication to ensure we had everything we needed. A delight from start to finish and highly recommended! Nothing!
- John (8/5): 3 night stay while visiting our grandson who was in shared accommodation on Old Bristol Road in Bath - The apartment was exactly to our expectations having read the description. Reasonably close to a bus service into Bath and also close to a Morrisons supermarket. One snag is the steep roadways from the apartment to the main road. A moderate level of physical wellbeing and fitness is required.
We chose this apartment as it was both generous in size and gave us freedom to come and go as we pleased. We also liked the idea of being able to prepare our own breakfasts in our own time. The fact that it is also relatively close to the Centre of Bath and avoided the need to park in a public car park during the day / overnight was an added security and cost consideration. Access to the apartment involves a flight of external steel stairs 12 or 13 treads. This is after a smaller flight of stone steps down from the street into the courtyard. So, if you're in any way physically impaired to affect the carrying of bags etc. then this may not be the place for you.
Vehicle access is tight, particularly if you have a larger SUV type vehicle. You will also need to park, for free, a couple of streets away and it's a bit competitive even then. However all this is made plain in the description of the premises, but an issue nevertheless.
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - We had a lovely stay at the apartment it had everything we needed was cosy and lovely and warm when we arrived bed so comfortable we will definitely be booking again.
- Michelle (10/5): A lovely apartment close to the centre of Bath - Absolutely gorgeous place to stay, close to the centre of Bath at a walkable distance. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed, it was like being home from home. I love that the hosts had eco friendly cleaning materials for us to use, including shower gels, which were lovely. A kind addition was a bottle of wine left for us on our arrival, which after a little stressful journey from North Wales, was very much appreciated once we got in and settled! Thank you so much.
- Amanda (10/5): Beautiful apartment, cosy and comfortable, perfect for exploring Bath. - The apartment was modern yet reflective of its history. The location was fantastic - we could walk into town. It was comfortable, warm and stylish. The hosts were happy to help when we needed and communication was excellent. Small touches like milk in the fridge and the eco friendly toiletries were appreciated. We couldn’t park outside as it is permit parking, however we could unload our suitcases from the car and we then parked a short walk from the property. So it wasn’t a problem at all.
- Chris (10/5): Highly recommended - The space, the feel and the look of this apartment amazing amazing amazing, great location and close to city will definitely use next time I’m in bath.
- Tamsin (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful property with lots of charm

- Katherine (9/5): Lovely for a 4 night stay - Very clean and cosy.
Well equipped for a short stay, great appliances in the kitchen.
Very comfy bed and enough storage for our clothes.
Bathroom was great, and the water softener made such a difference! It would've been useful to have a few extra towels on hand.
- Gemma (10/5): What a way to feel refreshed and togetherness:) - The location was fabulous. Both myself and my husband enjoyed the short walk into the centre. The bed was exceptionally comfy and the apartment was everything we could ask for. Nothing.
- Charisse (9/5): Superb - Loved the accommodations! Place was great, had everything you need for a short stay!
- Diana (10/5): Found my stay so relaxing , the apartment has a lovely feel and it was lovely and cosy ! - Loved the apartment ,beautifully renovated. Had everything you needed and a few extra touches
- Chris (10/5): A fantastic place to spend some relaxing time - Beautifully decorated and an amazing apartment. Much bigger than we thought and a lovely place to spend some time too. Everything was great!
- Angela (10/5): Highly recommend this stunning apartment - Great location, beautiful views, 20 min walk to centre. Property was perfect, spacious and stylish, a total pleasure to stay here Nothing, it was perfect
- Tom (9/5): Superb - We'll furnished, everything was fantastic and well kitted out and well presented Just the issue with parking as disabled user, parking a few streets away and walking back was a bit problematic - not an issue for the more able bodied people though
- Cathy (10/5): Wonderful stay with everything you need - Beautifuly presented No parking onsite but understand due to the geographical location
- Sophie (10/5): I won't hesitate to rent again if I come back to Bath! - The appartment was extremely clean, spacious with a wine bottle in the fridge to welcome us. In a quiet street and furbished with a king size bed of very good quality. I really appreciated all the leaflets and books about what to do in Bath too, the different walks etc. I have nothing bad to say about our stay.
- Candace (8/5): Nice, well-equipped rental apartment ... - We stayed here for 3 nights and had a mostly positive experience.
We received online directions from the host about key collection from a lock box that was very straightforward and easy.
The apartment is very spacious, well appointed and well lit despite it being in the basement of the house.
The kitchen is great. It's well equipped and very functional.
We appreciated the location of this apartment being somewhat removed from central Bath and didn't mind the walk to/from the grocery store (down the hill) and to the downtown sites of Bath.
There was a thorough and very helpful information binder in the apartment which answered all of our questions - but a few seconds or minutes of the host's time (who live directly above the apartment) would have given our stay a bit of a personal touch.
Although car parking is not available right at the apartment, we found there to be an abundance of free parking fairly close by. The bathroom in this apartment was the only downfall here. It's functional but it's small, cramped and has an overall poor setup. The shower is partially open with only a half glass door, so water splashes everywhere in the bathroom while showering. The sink is small and is under-sized with respect to the tall faucet, so when washing up in the sink, water bounces off the bottom of the sink and onto the person using it, as well as onto the floor. The flooring in the bathroom is concrete, which is constantly wet from showering and using the sink as already mentioned; consequently there is a unpleasant lingering wet smell in the bathroom, which also permeates into the rest of the apartment.
There was a reed deodorizer placed beside the bathroom to address the unpleasant smell we presume - but we had to move it outside because of scent allergies.
Zero face-to-face interaction with the hosts was a little disappointing.
- Marina (9/5): Superb -
- Afzan (9/5): It was a busy, purposeful visit for me and Walcot apt. was a pleasure to come back to each day. I would not hesitate to - Walcot is spacious, light (despite being a basement flat), tastefully decorated and in a quiet location. Checking in process was very straight forward. Hosts are considerate providing coffee, tea, milk and a bottle of wine in the kitchen on arrival and were very flexible about check out times on this occasion (I appreciate it may not always be possible). Boutique hotel standard shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and washing up liquid were also provided. Access into town is an easy 20/25 minute walk with one short steep hill. More than one towel per guest would be appreciated.
- Ella (10/5): Exceptional - We had a lovely stay at this apartment! Styled beautifully with everything we could need :) Couldn’t figure out the hob but the host tried his best dispute being away. Would definitely stay again! Thank you xx
- Elaine (7/5): Nice but not luxurious. Very steep location - Wouldn’t rate this as a luxury place
- Az (10/5): Excellent base to explore Bath - Really spacious, basement flat with everything you need . The hosts had thoughtfully left us with milk, tea coffee etc and even a bottle of wine which was a nice touch.
Centre of Bath is about a 20 minute walk away, location means there is free parking nearby. We would love to come back ! Nothing
- Matt (9/5): Superb -
- Deepak (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great. Enjoyed the stay. Will come back again and recommend to the friends as well. Nothing
- Angela (7/5): Good - The location was great and suited our reason for going to Bath The appartement was very cold when we arrived
- Yevheniya (10/5): Amazing! - Exceptionally comfortable and stylish apartment with all that is needed for a relaxing stay. A very nice touch - a bottle of wine, milk in the fridge and tea and coffee. Caring hosts
- Kelly (9/5): Our stay at Walcot Apt - Great location, a short direct walk into Bath. Modern, clean, stylish apartment with everything we needed included. A nice touch with the bottle of wine as a gift. Hosts checked in after the first night to make sure we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Well lit and easy access to the apartment. It was warm and cosy and we enjoyed the space. Super comfortable bed. An extra towel each or access to additional towels would have been appreciated.
- Des (10/5): Excellent! We will be back! - Beautifully decorated and furnished. Lovely and warm
- Rick (10/5): Great place to stay - Absolutely luxury unit spotlessly clean very large. huge bed great heating not a thing wrong short walk to good pubs and shops can't wait to stay again 😀 Not a thing
- Matt (7/5): Good - The apartment was lovely, very clean and modern, it had everything you needed for a short break. The shower was lovely, very big and spacious. And very well decorated I really felt at home and relaxed whilst in the apartment. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately, there was no extraction for the Hob, so when you cooked the apartment did smell of cooked food for some time after.
It was probably just a bit further away from town than I expected. It's a good 20-25 min walk to get to the town centre, and the hill to get back to the apartment is a killer.
- Steven (9/5): Superb -
- Fiona (10/5): Fabulous.....we loved it. - It is a fantastic spacious basement apartment. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The apartment was about a 20min walk from city centre so in a perfect location. We would happily stay again and would definitely recommend as great place to stay.
- Christopher (10/5): Beautiful Georgian basement flat, perfect for exploring Bath. - Cosy basement flat, lots of space and all the amenities you could need.
- Marie (10/5): Great stay in Bath. - It was comfortable, clean, bright, and airy for a basement apartment. Everything we needed was available within the apartment. Close to amenities. Be prepared to walk up some hills. Although we came across some cut throughs that made it easier.
- Dennis (9/5): Very good apartment in great spot - Spacious, clean and well appointed apartment. Excellent facilities Parking is on the street and can be a bit hit and miss
- Daniel (9/5): Fantastic Bath apartment, very clear instructions. - The instructions to get into the place were the best I have ever received. I know that's an odd thing to say but I've stayed at quite a few places now where it has been difficult to get in, this was so easy the instructions were fantastic.
The apartment is extremely spacious and comfortable, really well decorated and a lovely experience. The owners also left a bottle of wine out which was very much appreciated.
The guide book provided by the owners was also very extensive with lots of recommendations to places to visit nearby and even a hand-drawn map which was extremely cool. The bathroom facilities are really well done as well, nicely decorated and more than good enough for a couple's weekend away. Overall, it was a really nice experience for me and my partner to refresh away from work, thank you very much.
- Matt (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (10/5): If we visit Bath again we will definitely stay at The Walcot Apartment again. - Excellent location for walking into Bath, although we hadn't realised Bath has such steep hills! Stunning, very comfortable and well appointed accommodation. Nothing not to like.
- Flint (9/5): This was a great stay. From getting the keys which is really easy to the privacy and snugness of the apartment - The property is a good size. Sometimes owners seem to use a little trick photography to make places look bigger but not in this case. Bedroom is large and so is kitchen/diner. It’s a basement and was a bit cold when we arrived because of our poor summer, but the central heating is easy to use and warmed the place up quickly. The TV is bigger than it appears in the pictures. There was milk provided as well as coffee/ tea . An unusual added bonus is that the water (not the cold water in the kitchen) is softened and so you hardly need any soap in the shower. Another positive, it’s really quiet, you will not be disturbed It’s up a very steep hill and is residents only parking outside. But to be honest we took a risk and parked in the street and we didn’t get a ticket
- Sam (9/5): Superb -
- Jenny (9/5): Luxury, spacious eco-friendly apartment with everything needed for self-catering - Detailed arrival information, wine/milk/biscuits very much appreciated, also appreciated the free Wifi, lovely shower, very spacious warm bed, everything I needed in the kitchen, just really enjoyed my stay. I also appreciated the efforts to be eco-friendly.
- Tim (8/5): Stylish apartment - Beautiful old property skillfully modernised. Well equipped. Perfect location for city centre tourism. Plenty of parking nearby. All good.
- Bateson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roberto (10/5): Lovely! - The place looks like a real home. It was cozy. Wifi was SUPER fast and great for anyone that works remotely. The host left us a bottle of wine and also some brochures on things to do in Bath The location could be a problem for some. It's about 20mins walk from the city center and on a hill. But for young people like us :) it was fine!
- Annabelle (10/5): Wonderful 5star accommodation - Excellent property, tastefully decorated, absolutely spotless, lovely location, very comfortable bed with wonderfully soft bedding. Arrived to a warm property.
Loved the small details and overall would really highly recommend. Will be returning.
