• BRIAN (9/5): - The fifth floor apartment is serviced by a little lift, and has a balcony that overlooks the southern Ortigia bay area, plus some sea views to the north - just the place for afternoon nibbles and drinks. It has a reasonably well equipped kitchenette that shares the room with TV, dining table & chairs, and a sofa. The apartment has a modern interior that was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The separate bedroom is a good size. We were greeted by our host, which, importantly, meant no fiddly self-check-in. The apartment has easy access to Isola di Ortigia, shops, and bus routes. Siracusa train station is 10-15 minute walking distance, as is a larger Deco supermarket. The shared secure lobby with the sister apartment, that required keys to lock and unlock double entry/exit doors

• Kamil (9/5): Excellent apartament - The apartament is as described in the listing. It was very clean and well prepared for our stay, kind host left even some snacks for us. During our stay, weather outside wasn't perfect but AC was efficient enough to ensure comfortable temperature. Good communication and responsiveness from the owner, we were happy to check-in a while before previously requested time. I guess it's due to low-season but we have managed to find a free parking spot each day not further than 100m from apartament. It has nothing to do with the apartament experience, so treat it as a side note. Although it's almost the nearest spot to the Oritiga, surroundings doesn't seem to be really well maintained. Buildings and infrastructure isn't in the best shape but it doesn't seem to be that bad after visiting few other areas, this neighborhood might be still the best place in the city to stay. Near the marina you can encounter scammers who allegedly will help you find a parking spot and then they expect money in return - even if you declined their help. I wouldn't recommend leaving your belongings inside parked car if you leave it in the side street.

• Peter (7/5): Ideal location and great views over Ortigia and the harbour from the balcony - The location is ideal. Less than 15 minutes easy walk from the bus/train station and 5 minutes walk from the bridges to Ortigia. The view from the balcony over Ortigia and the harbour really is as good as the one in the site information guide. Chiara the hostess was very helpful and spoke fluent English. The apartment was clean and the mattress was very comfortable. The facilities in the kitchen were adequate for preparing breakfast and simple meals, but space is limited to attempt anything more ambitious. Space to sit and relax in the apartment is also limited. In the warmer months, this would be no problem as the balcony is the perfect place to while away the time

Everything in the apartment worked well including air conditioning and the washer, which was a priority for us. Idria was helpful when we arrived. WiFi mostly worked but wasn't completely reliable.

• Stephen (7/5): Good - Location was excellent, nice clean compact apartment with spectacular views towards Ortigia. Comfortable bed, large bathroom with walk-in shower and nice kitchen. Overall a nice apartment No draining board on the sink, or maybe a dishwasher could be fitted. The fridge freezer door opens the wrong way, this could easily be changed Water tank, boiler and air-con unit on the balcony, which made it small. We had to ask several questions and the host came back to us very quickly, however why should we have to ask for bin liners and which days to put out what sort ofrubbish. I would suggest that a file with various information in it should be left in the apartment, which could also contain doctors, dentists, hospitals, suggested restaurants etc. We have had this in many apartments around Europe. Most of these are small items but it would have made the stay better

• Zaya (10/5): Exceptional - The flat was amazing, very modern and spacious. Location is perfect, just at the start of Ortigia. The building has a lift. The bedroom was big, bedding was very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was as good as in some 5 star hotels. There is also a balcony with a great view to the port and Ortigia. Kitchen is modern and functional, and the owners had provided some water, soda, coffee and sweets. I also want to mention how kind and welcoming the hosts were to us. I recommend absolutely if you stay in Syracuse/Ortigia. Nothing!
