- Mary (9/5): Mountainside home with spectacular view and a gracious host. - Fantastic hillside cabin/home above Calci. The views are amazing. Watching the sunrise burn off the clouds trapped in the valley, as the sun slowly lights up the other side of the mountains is a memory I won’t soon forget. The house appears hand built, and built with real care and quality. The artistic touches throughout the house, like the rope light fixtures, were a great addition, and show the owner’s attention to detail. Driving up to the house is a bit of an adventure, but well worth the effort. Luigi, the owner, was beyond gracious, and his sincerity and helpfulness was much appreciated. The best comment I can make is that I will be back. More coffee bags.
- Dezső (8/5): Beuatiful, quiet and nice place in Toscana, hard to leave it. - The accommodation is a little more difficult to find, nowadays it is not easy to reach by car, because a very steep slope leads to the house and parking lot. The house is an old timber-framed building renovated, inside is very nice and clean - and outside with a great view of the opposite mountain and valley. Since the house is old and has wooden beams, the movements on the upper level can be heard very well below. There are 2 rooms with a bathroom upstairs, a room with a bathroom downstairs and a common living room and kitchen. The outside area could be a little better equipped (chairs, tables, etc.)
