• Ellyn (10/5): Wunderschönes Cottage in der Natur - Wir waren für zwei Nächte in dieser wunderschönen Unterkunft. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig, mit einer Küche, einem riesigen Badezimmer und zwei super schönen Terrassen, auf denen man gemütlich essen und sitzen kann. Auf der Farm ist es sehr ruhig. Hannah und Eric sind beide so unglaublich nette und herzliche Gastgeber*innen. Wir haben an einem Morgen eine Sonnenaufgangssafari gemacht und Hannah hat uns ein köstliches Picknick vorbereitet, mit Orangensaft von der Farm, Jogurt mit leckerem Obst, Toast (mit köstlicher Avocado) und Ei. Alles war super liebevoll verpackt. Abends hat Hannah uns auf unserer Terrasse ein Candlelight Dinner vorbereitet und das Essen war sehr lecker. Am Ende haben beide uns noch die Farm gezeigt. Wir können dieses wunderschöne Cottage jedem wärmsten empfehlen.

The communication was very good. The breakfast and optional dinner were great and Eric also gave us a tour on the farm. This was a really nice experience and would definitely come back if we're back.
• Bob V (9/5): A perfect introduction to Eastern Cape with fantastic hosts! - We stayed in the new cabin with new facilities. The porch is large for your daily breakfast...which was a delight! Our hosts were beyond expectations with conversations and a drive into the citrus farm. The pool and the surrounding garden/ yard were superb The road condition coming in can be a bit scary at first if you are not used to rural Eastern Cape. Do not rely on google maps to find your best route...
• Miriam (9/5): Herzlicher Empfang auf Zitronenfarm - Unglaublich gastfreundliches Ehepaar, das einen sehr liebenswürdig umsorgt und sich sofort und flexible um alles kümmert. Toll war auch die kurzfristige Farmführung, das Abendessen, der schöne Garten und die süßen Hunde. Wir wurden kurzfristig in das neue Cottage umgebucht - hier gibt es eine Abtrennung zum Bad ;) und sogar Bad und Toilette getrennt. Keine Essensmöglichkeit im Innenbereich (könnte bei noch kühleren Temperaturen ein Problem sein). Das wurde aber durch hervorragende Bewirtung draußen ausgeglichen. Einiges im neuen Cottage war offensichtlich noch provisorisch.

• Veronika (10/5): Wunderschöner Ort - Super süß eingerichtetes Appartement, mit allem was man braucht. Es waren frische Blumen bereitgestellt und hat toll nach Rosen geduftet. Alles sehr sauber. Hannah ist eine tolle Gastgeberin, super sympathisch und hat uns noch viele tolle Tipps für den Rest unserer Reise gegeben. Das Frühstück war hervorragend, das Beste was wir auf unserer Reise bekommen haben. Die Unterkunft liegt idyllisch und ruhig mitten in den Zitrus Plantagen ca. 25min weg vom Main Gate des Addo. Eine Abtrennung zwischen Bad und Schlafzimmer wäre super :))

Ersatz eines defekten Handykabels, Autowäsche und Zitronen zum Mitnehmen. Toller Garten mit Pool. Bad/WC ohne Türe war gewöhnungsbedürftig.

• Ceri (10/5): A perfect location to explore Addo Elephant Park and the Daniell Cheetah project, with great hosts. - We booked Clivedon Cottage as a base for exploring Addo Elephant Park and were delighted by our choice. Hannah and Eric were wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. For our day at Addo, Hannah provided a packed breakfast which was so ample that it served us for lunch and we stayed there all day. The cooked breakfasts on the other two days were served outside and were just great. We used their barbecue for our evening meals and Eric provided us with a as cylinder lighter to speed up the process. Their dogs loved the bones! When we left, Hannah gifted us honey and frozen orange juice, which were lovely. We were only worry that we didn't have time to tour their citrus farm but will be looking to buy their produce, as they supply Waitrose in the UK. Nothing.

Le logement une annexe est meublé avec goût, la climatisation dans la chambre est un vrai atout en cas de forte chaleur. N’hésitez pas à opter pour les dîners faits maison, la propriété est isolée. L'accès au magnifique jardin et à la piscine est un vrai bonus Rien nous recommandons sans hésitez

I liked everything although just a small issue is that the toilet runs on a pump system so the toilet needs to be flushed afew times to get everything down and the pressure sometimes drops and/or fluctuates but believe it's something that can be fixed

Herzlicher Empfang von den beiden sympathischen Gastgebern Hannah und Eric, - eine großzügige und blitzsaubere Unterkunft, geschmackvoll eingerichtet, bequeme Betten, - tolles Frühstück u.a. mit hauseigenem Honig und Früchten (alles liebevoll auf der gemütlichen Terrasse serviert), - ruhige Lage, - nahe des Addo Nationalparks, - geführte, informative Tour von Eric durch seine Orangenplantage - zum Abschied erhielten wir Orangen und Honig. Diese zwei Übernachtungen in Clivedon Cottage waren die besten auf unserer zweiwöchigen Tour durch die Garten-Route und wir wären gern noch länger geblieben.

La decoración nos encantó al igual que el gusto por los pequeños detalles. Hannah es maravillosa, como su marido, Anthony y Thea 😍 El desayuno no puede ser más bonito y rico, las cenas en el porche con velas y una presentación espectacular, la comida es casera y riquísima. Nos llevamos en el corazón a Hannah para siempre y a toda su familia que se volcaron para ayudarnos con un problema y nos emocionaron con su apoyo y cariño. Gracias de corazón ❤️ Nos gustó todo! Volveríamos sin dudar!
• Holger (10/5): - Alles! Alleine die Anfahrt ist Südafrika pur. Achtung! Es ist nicht gut den Teil Südafrikas mit einem Polo zu bereisen. Das macht keinen Sinn! Hannah ist eine sehr gute Gastgeberin und Köchin. Wir haben jeden Abend im Cottage gegessen. Hannah und Eric geben sich sehr familiär und wissen genau ihre Präsenz einzuschätzen. Wer wissen will, wo die besten Orangen angebaut werden, sollte die Frage nach einer Rundfahrt fragen. Wir kommen sehr gerne zurück. Ach ja, es stimmt, es gibt keine Tür zur Toilette. Aber hey, dass ist Afrika. Es ist nicht Castrop Rauxel! In seinem "anders" sein, ist es bei Hannah und Eric perfekt! Übrigens war es das erste Bett auf unserer Reise das lang genug war (2 Meter) Die Tage gingen zu schnell vorbei!

Das Frühstück und auch das optionale Abendessen waren unfassbar lecker (mit Obst und Gemüse aus dem eigenen Garten) und liebevoll angerichtet. Für den Addo Park konnten wir ein leckeres Picknick mitnehmen. Hannah legt viel Wert auf die kleinen Dinge wie frische Blumen. Wir haben uns gut unterhalten, den Besuch aus Deutschland kennengelernt, der gerade da war, und konnten uns die Farm ansehen. Hannah und Eric sind wahnsinnig hilfsbereit. Ein kleines Paradies nur 30 Minuten entfernt vom Park. Mit Abstand unsere beste Unterkunft in Südafrika bisher. Vielen Dank für alles! Zur Unterkunft führt eine Schotterpiste, die allerdings mit einem normalen Auto gut befahrbar ist.
• Paul (10/5): Excellent verblijf bij superlieve mensen!! - Wij vonden onze gastheer en gastvrouw Eric en Hannah superlieve mensen met aandacht en liefde voor de gasten en hun cottage! Warm onthaal. Geweldig eten, Hannah kookte voor ons en samen brachten ze het bij onze mooi gedekte tafel. Prachtig aangelegde tuin, zwembad en aandacht voor jou als gast!! Aan alles is gedacht, alles is even verzorgd en elke wens word van je lippen gelezen! Ze dachten mee, gaven een rondleiding op hun citrusplantage, we kregen tips voor Addo Elephant park en we kregen ook hun verrekijker mee en een op en top verzorgd ontbijtmandje mét picknickkleed! Een aanrader voor iedereen!!! Het fijnste verblijf ever!! Niets!!!!!

• Carlene (10/5): - We had such a wonderful stay at Clivedon Cottage. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They really put so much effort into everything they do. We were spoiled with the most delicious orange juice in our cozy cottage, a beautiful platter and breakfast, which was way more than we could eat. Further, we were spoiled with oranges, pomelo, and lemons to take home 🍊💛🍋!! Would love to visit them again.
• Weronika (10/5): - Mieszkaliśmy na wspaniałej farmie pomarańczy. Miejsce samo w sobie było niesamowite. Pachniało dojrzałymi, pysznymi pomarańczami. Gdy przejechaliśmy w lodówce czekał na nas świeży sok, a w koszyku kilka pomarańczy i cytryn. Były to jedne z najlepszych, które jadłam. Gospodarze naprawdę troszczyli się o nas. Dostaliśmy prócz przenośnego grzejnika, jeszcze piecyk gazowy, żeby na pewno nie było nam zimno. Gospodyni Hanna jest osobą niezwykle ciepłą. Przygotowuje wspaniałe śniadania. Jej mąż pokazał nam całą farmę i wytłumaczył, co jak działa, co było niezwykle interesujące. Mimo 20km od wejścia do parku Addo, to naprawdę warto. Można to spokojnie potraktować jako dodatkową atrakcję, którą koniecznie warto zobaczyć.

Good covered outside space with seating and dining table as well as braii and with shaded garden and pool. Close to Addo Elephant Park and within driving distance to supermarket. Good breakfast delivered to the cottage. Hannah and Eric were great hosts checking out the recent animal sightings at Addo and advising us where we might best have the opportunity to see wildlife and gave us a fascinating tour of the fruit farm on which the cottage is located. Nothing.

• Jay (10/5): Unforgettable experience! - The hosts made our stay amazing. The breakfasts were fantastic and prepared with such care. The apartment was perfectly located for visiting Addo park. Close enough that we could easily do the night safari and a sunrise safari. We also stayed a day at the property and had a wonderful tour of the farm and loved relaxing at the pool. Impossible to not like anything . Staying with Hannah and Eric felt like being an honored family guest. Don’t hesitate to reserve your dates.

• Wishpeat (10/5): A sweet little house among the citrus trees - The detached apartament is located in the secluded grounds of a citrus plantation. Hannah and Eric, who themselves live also on the property, make every effort to make you feel welcome without invading your privacy. You enjoy the peace and quiet and the singing of the numerous birds. Breakfast is a treat every morning with fresh produce from their own land. If you need anything they are immediately ready to help. You can even get laundry done or a meal prepared for a small fee. WiFi works properly, beds and shower are OK. We enjoyed the few days we stayed here, visiting Addo Elephant Park from here for two days which is definitely recommended. Another highlight of our stay was the tour Eric gave of the 50-hectare property. You now look at the oranges in the supermarket with different eyes. The long road to the accommodation is unpaved and has quite a few holes and bumps. But because you are continuously surrounded by the many plantations that this area has to offer, you take that for granted.

They are hugely welcoming and you leave feeling like friends, not guests. A delicious breakfast set us up for a day in Addo and a tour of the farm before we left completed our stay. If you are visiting Addo, I would hugely recommend booking Clivedon Cottage, you won't be disappointed.

• Djihed (10/5): A gem in Addo! - This was one of the best places we ever stayed at, period. Hannah and Eric are absolute gems of hosts and they thought of every single thing to make sure we had the most comfortable and pleasant stay! They genuinely care about their guests and it shows in the attention to the details! The farm is a short drive from Addo and makes a perfect base for visiting the park. We really enjoyed the tranquility of the beautiful garden and a hot day by the fresh pool. 100% recommend to book :) Nothing to mention.
